The owner Lesa and her dog Buddy warmly greeted us everyday when we stayed here. The house is very big with plenty of sitting areas to relax and enjoy quiet moments. Due to COVID, Lesa has limited her number of guests and has taken great precautions to make us feel very safe. The food every morning is cooked fresh and customized to our liking. She serves local favorite Tunnel City coffee and uses plenty of the great local produce and dairy products in her cooking. The location of the house is conveniently close to North Adams and Williamstown. Lesa also recommended great dinner options in town. All in all a great place to stay that is homey and more personal than hotels!
We met my brother and sister in law at Blackinton Manor for a post holiday getaway. We were greeted by the owner, Lesa, who provided wine, cheese and snacks as well as helpful information on the area and the manor house. Lesa has restored the home which exudes New England warmth and charm as well as a contemporary kitchen and en suite bathrooms. After a day visiting the Clark Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art and dinner at a local restaurant, we enjoyed Lesa’s cordials and cookies. She prepared a full 3 course breakfast which included fruit and yogurt, homemade apple muffins and a vegetable-cheese frittata, all wonderful. The Clark Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art are highlights. Pics: Mountain View from our room, breakfast frittata
This manor is beautiful. it was clean, and beautifully decorated. Lisa, our host ,couldn't do enough for us. The weekend we stayed, we were the only quests, so Lisa treated us like royalty, We even got to take our breakfast treat with when we left ,so we had a deliscious treat for our ride home. Now that we have a new grandchild child in the area, we will definitely be staying here more often. Looking forward to return visit.
We scheduled a quick fall getaway to visit the Clarke Art Museum and Mass MOCA and could not have found a better place to stay than Bkackinton Manor. What a beautiful throwback to grand elegance. Lesa was a perfect hostess and every aspect of our stay, from the welcoming wine and cheese in the living room in front of the fire place, to a wonderful dinner recommendation, to a fantastic breakfast, was great. Our room, The Blue Room, was very nice, and we had a chance to see a couple of the others, and they all looked equally elegant. The house is magnificent and very well situated for exploring the area. It was a wonderful and too short of a stay. And when we forgot an iphone charger and asked if we could send a mailer to have it sent back, Lesa wouldn’t hear of it and sent it back straight away. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and I’m only sorry we couldn’t have stayed longer. I look forward to our return. …
My husband and I decided to explore the many attractions of the area en route to visiting our daughter in NYC. Staying at Lesa’s Manor was a delight across ALL dimensions. Her historical home is tastefully and comfortably decorated, thoughtful amenities are evident in the bedroom and common areas, her breakfasts reflect her impressive culinary skills, and she is a gracious, enjoyable and generous host who genuinely loves running a B&B. We have stayed at many B&Bs over the years and Lesa’s is of an exceptional standard.
