We went to the Walker Center to connect with family and friends from US, Canada and Italy for a family wedding. The setting is comfortable, dorm-like, and conveniently placed. The rooms are spread out over a few buildings. Ours was in Yeo House, the room had two single beds and offered use of a large kitchen, bath down the hall... More

If you're not on business and are attending a conference in the city or in Cambridge, The Walker Center is a very nice alternative. The rooms are comfortably low-key without being spartan, the public spaces and grounds are welcoming, and the homemade buffet breakfast and round-the-clock warm beverage service are really just what you need to feel at home without... Quiet and relaxing set in a peaceful All American neighborhood close to the RT 90. No TV in rooms but you are not there for TV, you can watch that at home They do have Wi Fi but I left my laptop unpacked for 3 days.5 minute walk to Riverside(green line) and 1/2 hour to Government Center in downtown Boston.... My stay here was a back in time College Dorm experience. The room seemed to be approx 100 years old-- never renovated. It was clean and had a private bath (1960s). This place was very quiet. The breakfast was excellent-- better than a Residence Inn. The gluten free waffles were fabulous with pure maple syrup. The is a non-profit org,... More

This is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. The rooms here are large, though not fancy or modern and so it may not be for everybody. The bathrooms are fairly basic and dated though completely functional, and overall it is rather informal (eg, guests place towels and sheets in a pillowcase at the end of their stay).... More

Over the past year (October 2014-November 2015), I stayed at Walker Center on numerous occasions. I first learned about them, when I needed a place quickly and in close proximity to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. I continued to travel to the area many times over the year and several times needed to be near NWH, and Walker was the place to go.... More

For a quiet, moderately-priced retreat to reflect on important issues of the world or if you are attending anything at nearby Lasell College this is a perfect choice. The Walker Center is a conference center where world peace (often found via a spiritual path) is pursued. Accommodations are comfortable and, in keeping with the meditative nature of the place, there... More

I was here about a week and a half ago for a conference. I was in one of the houses used for conference attendees, and not in the main building (which has the B&B rooms), but the attendees who were in the main building said it was really nice. I loved the area, which was very quiet, but within walking... More

We stayed at the Ecumenical centre at the end of September. Its a lovely building in a nice neighbourhood and it was a pleasure to stay there. The rooms are very reasonably priced, especially when comparing them to Boston prices. They are basic, yes, and could maybe do with a bit of updating, but then it is not solely a... More

I have stayed here several times over the past 4 years, for a night and one for a few nights while attending a conference in Boston or visiting friends in Newton or on the way to Maine. It is a short walk to the T, it is situated right off 95 but in a quiet little suburb. The rooms are... More
