A Village B and B is a homestay B & B in the heart of Newton Highlands village, steps away from restaurants, craft and clothing stores and salons. It is a bustling village complete with commerce, and offers the convenience of a great walkability score. The MBTA to Boston is steps away for access to downtown, sites, and the airport all while not needing a car. Our rooms are busiest during May through November, so reserve early beginning with the Boston Marathon. We are convenient to major routes such as the MA Turnpike, I-95 and Route 9. Great location for trips to Fenway Park, local colleges such as Boston College, Brandeis, LaSalle, and Mount Ida, not far from Babson and Olin colleges as well. Many of our guests come for workshops at Samadhi Yoga Center, the Jungian Institute, or Healing Arts in Watertown. We have rooms with private bathrooms and shared bath. Prices float accordingly. We offer a continental breakfast each morning with home made and bakery items as well as yogurt, cheese, fruits, and beverages, according to what is allowed for small B and Bs in our state.

A Village Bed & Breakfast is located in Newtown Highlands just on the outskirts of Boston.

I have to say that it is one of the best Bed and Breakfasts I have stayed in and I cannot fault it in any way whatsoever.

The B&B has 3 available rooms (I think) and we were allocated the room at the top of the house. The bedroom itself was large with a very comfortable bed and most importantly air conditioning.

There was a separate shower and toilet which was a good size and which was for our use only so no need to share. Much to our surprise there was also a separate room which had a table, TV and kitchen unit which included kettle and microwave and fridge and which gave us somewhere comfortable to relax in the evening after a long day travelling and meant we didnt just have to go to bed.

Every morning our host put on a very good breakfast with everything you could possible want it and although we are not big breakfast people normally it gave us a chance to chat to the other guests.

The guest house is in an excellent location being only a couple minute slow walk to the Newtown Highlands transit and a short 20 minute journey to Boston or Fenway if you fancy a game.

If I am ever in Boston again this will be my first choice and I can highly recommend it.

This is a charming, tastefully decorated, well maintained B&B with off-street parking in a lovely neighbourhood with restaurants and shops and a train stop within waking distance.
Claudia, the host, is lovely and provides a warm welcome along with a delectable assortment of baked goods (some of her own), cereals (she makes her own muesli), boiled eggs, fruit, berries, yoghurt and good coffee to start your day.
The room and bathroom are super clean and cozy with all the amenities.

Lovely beautifully furnished B&B. Very clean bedroom had all amenities inc a small fridge which was very handy. Our bathroom was across the hall but only for our use
Breakfast was a communal affair with bread cheese, yoghurts, fresh fruit ,cereals in freshly made granola, boiled eggs. Hot drinks and orange juice.
5 mins to train station Newton Highlands on the green D line and approx 30mins from Boston city centre.
Perfect location, beautiful neighbourhood and very good Irish bar and restaurant nearby O'Haras. Very good food
Be sure to remove your shoes at the front door and the main kitchen is private. Highly recommend !!

COSY, COMFORTABLE B & B in a perfect small town setting

The Village B and B is simply everything you want in a Bed and Breakfast experience. I’ll certainly be coming back after my recent stay — maybe with enough friends to take over the house! SO much nicer than a corporate hotel.

First, the house itself is lovely and cosy — special, with many caring touches, but not fussy or frilly. It was immaculately clean, with nice linens and comfortable beds. We stayed on the top floor which works as a cute little suite with kitchenette, perfect for a longer stay. It felt like we were staying with friends of friends — who just happen to have the nicest ever New England hospitality. Claudia, one of the innkeepers, was so kind and caring in making sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Location was another terrific aspect of our stay — a walk around the corner to have a meal, buy a bottle of wine, or enjoy an incredible croissant at Lakon Patisserie. Lovely to enjoy a brief stroll and find whatever you need in Newton Highlands.

Claudia is an amazing host! The rooms are extremely clean, private, and comfortable. The bathroom had everything we needed in terms of supplies and linens. Every small detail was amazing (including the alarm clock that projects the time on the ceiling so you can see it in the middle of the night).

The breakfast was so delicious! Handmade granola, fresh pastries, and a wide variety of fresh fruits; we would look forward to it every morning.

Claudia will send you the door code ahead of time so you can enter and exit at will which was a godsend when we had multiple late night events where we didn't want to disturb the rest of the guests but felt secure the the door was always locked.

We will definitely be staying again!

From the we arrived and were warmly welcomed until our departure two days later, we had a fantastic experience at A Village B&B in Newton, MA. Our accommodations were spacious, clean and luxurious. Continental breakfasts of fresh fruits, breads, pastries, cereals and beverages were served on a large dining table that accommodated all the guests and provided opportunities to mingle with other visitors. All of this in quiet, friendly Newton, just a few minutes walk from the train station and a short ride into multiple destinations in Boston and its surrounding communities. We will certainly return in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our stay! Claudia (A Premiere Innkeeper!!) was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Claudia pays attention to all details big and small. She makes a beautiful, bountiful continental breakfast. Our room and all common spaces were immaculate. We stayed in the King Suite - Quiet, spacious, extremely comfortable bed, well appointed, large bathroom. Train station is only a few minute walk from the B&B, making trips into Boston without the hassle of a car very easy. We parked our car safely in Claudia's driveway and didn't need the car for our entire stay! The neighborhood is highly walkable. We had a fantastic dinner at O'Hara's Food & Spirits, a pub type experience, on Walnut St., only a few minute walk. In summary, Wow!! This place felt truly like a home away from home. Light-filled, tastefully decorated, quaint, quiet neighborhood, relaxed atmosphere, accommodating hostess, fantastically located. We left well rested and very happy with our experience there. We highly recommend Claudia and her B&B. We look forward to returning!

My sister and I traveled from out of state to our hometown of Newton, MA. for 5 days to see friends. We picked A Village B&B because of its location and others' reviews. It more than met our expectations. We had the 3rd floor suite with bedroom/bathroom/kitchen and seating area. A friend came in from out of state and stayed with us on a comfortable pullout sofa bed. The host Claudia has Charlie cards you can borrow for the 'T' which is just around the corner. There was 'T' construction while we were there and the Newton stops were not running, but the B&B is very accessible to walking wherever and it's easy to get an Uber.
Our host Claudia was great...friendly and knowledgeable about the area and getting places. We enjoyed chatting with her! The B&B is located in an old Victorian house (c.1897) and is very comfortable and well-kept. The breakfasts were good and varied and we met interesting people from around the world.
The village of Newton Highlands is just a few minutes' walk with good restaurants and shops as well as the 'T' stop.
I am happy to give Claudia and A Village B&B my highest recommendation.

If you are looking for a place to stay that feels like home but where you don't have to make breakfast this is the place for you.
I was lucky enough to find the King Suite available while I was in Boston for a week on business. I was so glad that I stayed here instead of a hotel. The room was great - spacious and clean with everything I needed, and the screened in porch was perfect for winding down at night with a book. I didn't utilize them but the cards for the T that were in the room were a very nice touch. Off street parking, a definite bonus, made coming and going from the office a breeze.
There are several restaurants in the immediate and very walkable vicinity. O'Hara's is definitely at the top of my list, but I tried a different one every night and was not disappointed. Super cute (and safe) neighborhood to walk in.
Claudia (host) was very accommodating and her breakfast trumps any hotel breakfast I've had recently. It was a delectable spread of fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, cereal, baked goods, juice, and very delicious coffee. She had great recommendations for restaurants and activities, but was also just very pleasant to chat with.
I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the area, and highly recommend.

We spent a wonderful 4 nights at this charming bed and breakfast. The atmosphere and decor were very cozy, comfortable and inviting. Claudia, the host, goes above and beyond to make sure all needs are met. She is very accommodating and gracious. We enjoyed some wonderful conversations over breakfast. This B and B is very centrally located- easy to get to the T as well as a variety of restaurants. After staying in many busy hotels in Boston it was refreshing to stay in a comfortable place that felt like home, yet was so close and accessible to all Boston has to offer. Particularly, if you have reason to be at Boston College, this place is ideal. We will definitely be back!

For that length of time I would advise booking by the end of May. My kids would have gone to the Hyde too sounds like our B and B is exactly in your old neighborhood our queen and king rooms go from $135 to $165 per night. September is still part of our high season but happy to discuss a small discount for a stay over two weeks. Right now there is no tax but there is a bill in the MA legislature to require us to do that. Hope to hear from you! Claudia

You will want to contact the proprietor for rate information. I can tell you that this would be a wonderful option for visiting Wellesley. The Inn is just off Route 9 which is the main route through the Wellesley area.
