Stayed at this hotel because of a party there on Saturday night. Great location 20 miles outside Boston - easy access to city, great shopping across the street from hotel, and lots of restaurants within 1 mile from hotel. Staff greeting was very friendly and accommodating - and the room was very quiet as I had requested. After checking into the room, noticed the somewhat run-down features including bathroom plumbing issues and lighting not really bright enough. Called front desk and they immediately sent up someone to address plumbing issue but because of the late hour (and the somewhat significant effort to fix), engineer suggested changing rooms but we asked that he just fix it so it was just usable as we had unpacked. I then reported this to the front desk and the next day spoke to the manager Kristen who handled the situation very pleasantly and to our satisfaction. On another point the party rooms were large and very nice and we had a terrific time. There is a small restaurant to get breakfast int he hotel but it is not included int he room cost. (As an aside, we heard that Hilton was taking over the property in 2020 - I assume they will be doing some upgrades at that time.) Overall because of the location and staff, we would consider staying at this hotel in the future.

Stayed one night in Aug 2019. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Plenty of parking. Highlight was the breakfast buffet which was one of the best I've ever come across at a hotel. Staff was courteous.

It looked nice, but the room was not comfortable. Plugs by the bed could not hold a charger-it fell out. Bathroom too dark. Room had too many lights that had to be turned on to see what I needed to see. I found a long dark hair on my face towel as well as in the sheets of the bed. Did not use glasses at all, stuck with using the plastic wrapped glasses. Bought a turkey sandwich in restaurant. Threw it away.

Was there for 2 nights. When you are arriving first reaction is: wow, it’s gonna be a cool stay and will go through something different. And finally nothing. Despite a very helpful staff at the check in, I went to a pretty standard room at the ground level, going through a corridor which look like bringing you to a warehouse. I have stayed beside a room transformed into a workshop with noise pretty much all day. The breakfast was served by inexperienced staff mixing a tea request with the service of a coffee. The lounge “Violet Horn” is probably the only place in the hotel which is at the level of he look the manager wanted to bring. So, not sure I will stay there the next time, except if I have no choice. If you are around, go for a quick visit, it is worth the tour.

Sorry that you had a disappointing stay. We are going through some renovations and guestroom soft goods are coming soon. The new design will definitely perk up the rooms to match the public space.

My companion and I stayed at the Verve Crowne Plaza in Natick, Massachusetts from August 22 August 27 of this year. We were in the Boston area for a wedding and the hotel had been selected by the mother of the groom. The Verve’s décor was what one would expect at a Crowne Plaza hotel – average. That said, the food and the service were disappointing even by Crowne Plaza standards. While the reception, restaurant and bar staff were generally quite pleasant, I found one front desk staff’s condescending attitude to be quite offensive. Clearly, he had had little or no customer service training. Housekeeping was a disaster. Even though our room was available for cleaning before noon every day, it was never cleaned before 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. and then only after repeated calls. The hotel’s restaurant only served breakfast and lunch which is just as well because the food was terrible. If you wanted dinner, you had to go to the hotel bar. We ordered from room service one evening because my companion did not feel like going out to eat. The kitchen managed to get every part of that order wrong. Early in the morning the 23rd, my companion became extremely ill. She was so sick and in such pain that I called 911 and asked for the paramedics. Three paramedics arrived quickly and were both professional and courteous. About five minutes after the paramedics arrived, two members of the hotel staff (one female and one male) tried to enter our room. I told them to get out because the paramedics were examining my companion and she was in a state of undress. They refused, stating that it was hotel policy for them to be present whenever there was a 911 emergency. Before I could get my phone to call the police, they left the room and waited in the hall. An ambulance was called and my companion was taken to the emergency room of a local hospital where she received excellent treatment. The Verve really needs to rethink its “911” policy and/or hire people who are smart enough to use a little common sense! Hotel staff have no business being a room where a partially undressed guest is being examined by medical professionals. Clearly, we will never stay at this hotel again.

Good morning, I am stunned to read this comment as I have no knowledge of an incident involving our employees in the guestroom. I can also assure you that we do not have any such "policy" about 911 calls. I will need to investigate that aspect specifically. I would welcome a conversation with you off line.
