This Bed & Breakfast is an excellent choice when staying near the Salem/Marblehead area! My girlfriends and I stayed here for a long weekend and Ruth was the most generous, hospitable, and wonderful host I’ve ever met! The accommodations are clean, cozy, unique, and located in the most scenic and gorgeous setting! Our favorite part was sharing conversation with Ruth over her homemade breakfasts and/or a glass of wine. Would absolutely stay here over and over!
Excellent location, great service, clean and comfortable rooms, delicious and healthy choices of breakfast, and a lovely area to visit. Ruth was just an amazing hostess and we look forward to going there again, hopefully soon.
What a wonderful place to stay. Clean, charming, nice breakfast. Host is very accommodating. I stayed with my husband and sister and 2 adult children and 1 spouse. Plenty of room. Could have fit 1-2 more. Would 100% stay here again and highly recommend
My husband and I had a wonderful time staying here. The location was great, room was lovely and quiet, and Ruth was the perfect host. Quick drive into Salem, and the breakfasts were great! Would recommend to anyone.
We had a wonderful experience staying in the Seabreeze Suite at the Seagull Inn! Ruth was so knowledgeable and kind throughout our stay, doing an excellent job of social distancing her guests. The accommodations are sparkling clean and so well-appointed-it truly felt like home away from home. Marblehead is a delightful place to visit and we definitely plan to return and stay at the Seagull Inn again!
This was our first trip to Marblehead and this was a perfect place to stay. Located right on the ocean. Ruth and Skip were awesome and were fantastic hosts. Inn was really nice and had everything we needed. Awesome breakfasts too.
We had a great one-night stay here. Ruth and Skip make wonderful hosts, and Ruth helped make many suggestions regarding places to go and restaurants we might like to dine at. Breakfast was quite a spread, being Continental-style. We appreciated the fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, lox, bagels, muffins... lots to choose from! And Ruth regaled us with local lore as we finished our coffee/tea.
This was the last hotel at the end of our 18 day trip before our flight back to the UK from Boston. The Seagull is a little Gem on a peninsular facing Mablehead over the bay. We slept in the Library room on the ground floor, lovely room oppoite the lounge, all the facilities were great and we loved the breakfast each morning and afterwards we would walk up to the lighthouse on the headland and watch the sailing boats. Ruth & Skip are lovely hosts and I thank them for a great stay.
Cute little B&B close to the water. We stayed in the Seagull Room which was really a bedroom and a sitting room. Complimentary variety of snacks, refrigerator, also with snacks and water, Keuring machine and Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video. We were out and about mostly discovering Marblehead and Salem but it was so nice to come back to a place to feel like home. Breakfast was a plethoras of granolas, cereals, baked goods, yogurts, teas, coffees, juices and Ruth was more than happy to accommodate any special requests. Friendly people and enjoyed good conversations. Only issue was lugging our heavy luggage up the very steep stairs to our room. There was no one to help us.
Thank you, Ruth and Skip, for your lovely, cozy accommodation and your warmth and hospitality! Your delicious breakfast, stimulating conversation and beautiful home went above and beyond anything my friends and I could have hoped for! It was the perfect location for exploring Marblehead — especially with the beauty of the water, sailboats and Castlerock just outside the door! It is evident you love what you do and take such care in providing a five star plus experience. We hope to visit again! (And for Skip, “Go Bucks”!).
