After months at home, we finally decided to venture out for a 2 night stay / family getaway with our three children under age 12. We'd been to Cranwell the two years prior and studied all the safety protocols being followed by Wyndhurst as well as the state of MA (we traveled from a suburb of NY). We had a great time, felt very safe. Of course, we had negative tests and hope that other guests did too

I stayed there with my husband and daughter. We had great time. Beautiful place with historic mansions, huge property with huge pool. The staff was very nice, great service. Anybody we interacted with at the pool or front desk was just amazing. I would like to thank Anya at the front desk for giving us lots of recommendations and being very sweet, also thank Robert, director of rooms for being very welcoming. We got great room in old historic mansion, with amazing bed and super soft, warm bed sheets and pillows, plenty of towels in the room. The place is extremely clean, sanitizing stations everywhere. They follow very well cdc guidelines to keep the place clean and sanitized and masks are required through the property. Plenty to do in the area, 5 minutes to drive downtown Lenox , ma and other beautiful towns in Berkshire to nice restaurants and lots of museums. It’s about 10 to 20 minutes driving to 3 different ski resorts. Just amazing place to stay.

The entire staff was wonderful: bryan doorman; john/chris/lindsey/shenequa at front desk and guest experiences teams; laurie the pilates instructor; bridget the miraval masseuse, and laurie the manager wyndhurst manager. Our room was exquisite, with a bed and linens that were top quality and made for a blissful sleep. A perfect mix of old architecture with modern, clean furniture and decoration. We took advantage of the Miraval day pass ($300 so not cheap but includes TONS of awesome classes, access to a beautiful gym, free lunch/food during the day and a 60 min massage or facial) which made the stay even nicer. I have not had this great of a hotel stay in a long time and I have stayed at 5* hotels throughout the world. Hats off wyndhurst team and have wonderful holidays!

As we had visited the Cranwell Resort (now the Wyndhurst Manor) a couple of years ago, we had high expectations of the new Hyatt Wyndhurst Manor. Although our expectations were high, we were mindful as well that due to Covid it would not be business as usual. Unfortunately, we were somewhat disappointed with our stay due to the following: - When we entered the property there were signs pointing to “registration” but we got to the building and it was closed. We drove around and found another building that actually had the check in/front desk (at Miraval which is Hyatt too and is in the same property). Need better signage. - Since, Wyndhurst Manor does not have a front desk any longer we had to check in and directly communicate with the Miraval front desk. There was a total disconnect with the Miraval front desk and the Wyndhurst Manor. o In one occasion I called to change breakfast reservations and the front desk told me that they did not know how they were going to let the Manor know as they don’t have a direct line to it. How can this be possible? No phones? o Then I call to order room service , the front desk was not familiar with the menu. Breakfast was included in the package and they had no clue what items were included, I had to instruct them to open the menu and go over it with them. - Room service was terrible, We understand that the food had to be packaged differently due to Covid but it looked terrible. We had requested cream with our coffee, they gave us heavy whipping cream that curd once it hit the coffee, it was the worse coffee that we have ever had, a gas station coffee would have been better. My husband had to go down to the Manor kitchen looking for new coffee. The parfait was not very good and the pastry is something that you could have gotten in a gas station. I took pictures will post them on trip advisor. - The food at the Fireside Bistro was good but definitely overpriced based on quality and quantity the same with the cocktails. - They charged a resort fee $70 and other service fees not sure why, the service was not as expected for a high star resort as this one. For how much we paid for the rooms and for the disappointing experience they should be paying us back. - Check out – I asked the front desk to print me an extra bill, the woman was not very friendly, had no idea how to print the bill, a manager came to help. Neither of them even asked me how was my stay with them or asked for any feedback. Don’t mean to be picky or harsh but for $500 per night you expect better service/quality even when dealing with Covid restrictions. Very disappointment , do not recommend it. On the positive side, the rooms were very nice and the staff in Wyndhurst manor were very helpful, pleasant, and always make sure that we were ok. So this did make us feel like at least we didn’t completely waste our money by coming to the Manor. Definitely not the Cranwell experience at all, maybe know that is run by a large chain it will never be the same.

A few thoughts I absolutely have to share about my experience; It was my 27th birthday, and, for the first time ever I made the wise decision to spend it all alone; in a beautiful estate; in the Berkshires. Received a nice email a few days prior to my arrival, to put me up to date with everything and even suggest what I should pack (nice touch, some of us still wish we had our mothers around to tell us the little stuff but oh, so helpful!). Checked in with Ryan, the most wonderful host I have ever come in contact with! (after some many years of working within a Relais & Chateaux with a fine dining restaurant attached to it, you know what that actually means. Please note that this is merely an observation for those who think they know it all and have seen it all). Lauren gives me a tour of the Miraval Spa and it is only now that I understand how amazing this place really is! They have a good number of various activities for everyone out there. All the staff I came in contact with, no matter how different the activities were ( floating yoga, massage, hatchet throwing, kayaking) was lovely and professional. Made me feel comfortable and always kept me on my toes while giving me freedom to be myself! After the spa, I headed to the manor to check in and get ready for dinner at their restaurant. Right in front of my door, I find a letter with my name on it, and something on a silver tray, covered by a white napkin. It was a birthday card, with a note from Ryan who took the time to add a nice finishing touch on our encounter. And a lovely bottle of Pinot Noir, which I love. Kept the letter. I went downstairs for dinner and came to find they were doing more than social distancing. Tables were more than 6 ft apart, to ensure everyone feels totally comfortable while dining and enjoying themselves. Most of the tables were occupied and full of smiley faces which definitely set the mood right. I was greeted by Cody. A natural, pleasant and knowledgeable server. The manager, Austin was so incredibly kind as he was professional. The cherry on top was Christine, the chef. You could picture her big smile through her mask. I can’t stress enough how delicious everything was, but how their staff took everything to the next level! I feel like now, more than ever, to show kindness to one another goes a long way. To do it genuinely, though, is next level, and I want to thank everyone there that made my experience possible and oh, so wonderful! To be continued..
