This stay was exceptionally poor. We arrived around 10pm and followed signs up to the manor house. We entered the building and started looking around for a reception desk. After a few minutes of searching we interrupted a group having a nightcap. After inquiring if they knew where check in was they let out a heave sigh and informed us they too had been confused and it was in a random building . We ended up calling the number for the hotel and after a long automated menu got a person, they informed us that after 7:30 you should go to the Mirival reception to check into Wyndhurst. Which gets me to the crux of my poor experience, a lack of communication. A lot of what went wrong was just setting expectations. A simple email or text heads up -- "Good afternoon, we saw you had indicated a late check-in, please be advised to follow signs to Mirival if you arrive after 7:30" -- could have started the stay on such a better footing. Once we got back to the building after checking in at the other hotel, we discovered our next issue. The manor building doesn’t have an elevator. Again this isn't a deal breaker and fortunately not a large issue for me personally, but something I think should be disclosed and confirmed -- especially for a hotel that only opened in 2020. This alone however would be a reason I would not be comfortable with have older family stay at the hotel. Accessibility is about more than just having a room for wheelchair access. The room itself was nice, you can tell they seemingly did put a nice about of money into the refurb from the Cranwell days, although the room was almost too large for the furniture they actually put in it. I was disappointed it lacked a desk (so much for work from vacation) or a larger seating area. It was like they did not consider the rooms were not all cookie cutter designs. Flaws of the room were lack of power outlets right in the night stand (this has been standard for almost a decade now), but they did have a power strip nearby on the floor. Additional the bed had a super bright automatic nightlight that you could practically use as a reading light it lit up the room so much. The bathroom was at least nice and the wifi was excellent. With that said, the hvac was faulty in our room. I place multiple calls to maintenance. The last solution was to just open a window after we returned from a day out to the heat blasting away and the room 80 degrees despite the thermostat set to 68. What really was the nail in the coffin to cap a poor experience was we called and asked for house keeping service and was told they no longer provided the service during COVID despite our room being made up the first night and a letter being left asking to call for service. The front desk countered and wondered if a towel service would suffice. We told him no we want our room made up. The agent promised it would be done. Eight hours late we came back to an untouched room. Again if you don’t want to provide house keeping, put it on your website and disclose the limited service changes and I’ll go stay at an Airbnb instead. I don't know the exact background of why Wyndhurst exists but I think it is basically because when Mirival purchased the old Cranwell they realized the old manor building was not up to the Mirival standard and they didn't want the homeowners to have full access to Mirival so they needed to basically make a second hotel on the property, resulting in what is now basically the ugly step-child of Mirival. At every turn the small stuff and been missed and expectations have come up short. I cannot recommend this property without some significant soul searching and changes.

Felt compelled to write about our good experience at this hotel because of all the negative reviews posted. We had a very nice stay. Our suite in one of the cottages was spacious, spotless and lovely. The bed was super comfortable. There are certain restrictions due to COVID (e.g. no housekeeping, indoor pool closed) that were clearly explained when we checked in. We had a great breakfast at the mansion and also had a good experience with breakfast delivered by room service. The service was very good. Fitness center was nice, but the outdoor pool needs to be updated. Overall, very good experience and we would definitely stay at Wyndhurst again.

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Wyndhurst Manor and Club. We went for our Babymoon and could not be more impressed. The food was amazing and they are very clean. We had Alexis as a server for dinner at Sloane’s and she was so friendly, nice, and attentive! She is an amazing asset to the property and represents what it means to be hospitable. We talked to the Manager at 1894 Steven who gave us a great local recommendation for Mount Greylock. The food and recommendation were awesome! We called the front desk for questions and they were all very helpful and polite. Especially with COVID-19 cleanliness is very important and they exceed that in the restaurant, room, and all the common areas. This is a must for anyone looking to enjoy a great stay. The cottage suites are very cute. We cannot wait to return!

The ambiance was great, the decor in the manor common areas was exceptional, however the rooms while spacious needed more furniture and our third floor room needed more light (natural and electric) The pool for the non spa was dated and the towel worn and stained.

Wyndhurst was great. To be clear, I was a little wary of reading some of these other negative reviews. Figured we had some Hyatt points to burn and a long weekend so decided to spend LDW here for 4 nights. It was a pretty good stay Couple quick highlights - try to stay in the mansion and not in the beecher cottage. get upgraded, pay for it if necessary, or just ask to be moved. the rooms are way better and the sound insulation are 100x better. the beecher cottage walls are paper thin - wifi was great - showers were great - the beds were suuuuper comfortable - Ryan (the front desk manager at Miraval) really took care of us (my wife and I were here on our mini-moon), he was a 10/10. Helped us with everything from room changes to making restaurant reservations even though we were not Miraval guests - 1894, the bar/restaurant downstairs in the mansion was great. great food selection and great craft cocktails. - aside from that the resort was pretty under occupied (both miraval and wyndhurst) which made our stay a very nice quiet one Most of the negative reviews center around this place being new and service kinks being worked out over time. so make sure when you're booking to take that lagging indicator into account. I thought my stay was perfectly fine.
