I wouldn’t change a thing! From booking to breakfast, we were warmly (and safely) welcomed, treated to a comfortable stay in a charming room, and fed a delicious breakfast before making our way home. You have managed to preserve the best of the B&B experience while taking care to keep guests safe. Your home was beautifully and festively decorated, our room had everything we needed, your recommendations were spot on, and we appreciated the Lenox historic mansion tour text you put together to give additional layers of meaning to our brief stay in your neck of the woods! Thank you so much! We hope to come back soon! Elizabeth Mosier St. Davids, PA

That is so nice of you to say. In fact, this is our 23rd year here (84th year as an inn) and things are always evolving, but we are so glad that you enjoyed your time here. And we do try to keep the inn festively decorated, depending on the season. Hope you can come back soon.

Thanks, Steve! And as I respond to this review, you are actually already back. I will say one thing about our being closed six months.... We spent the time upgrading the property - doing the kind of major exterior improvements that normally would have been hard to do with guests around. So a bit of silver lining, and thanks for noticing. We have gotten such good feedback about our "AirBnB Style" experience, that we are going to keep it through May, 2021.

Hampton Terrace has all the perfect attributes that one expects when staying at an Inn. Well appointed rooms, nice grounds, historic and tasteful decorating in the common areas, a scrumptious breakfast and little extras like unlimited bottle water and complimentary “night caps”. Stan, the inn keeper, was the consummate host ensuring all of my family was well taken care for and went out of his way to ensure everyone was happy. The inn is perfectly located in the heart of Lenox allowing for an easy walk to all of the local dining establishments. I highly recommend The Hampton Terrace Inn for your next Lenox/Tanglewood visit.

Really nice old house with lots of character. Stan is really nice and helpful. And he makes a fantastic breakfast. Lennox is a small, pretty town and a very nice place to stay. If you're driving across MA, this would be a good place to stop and spend the night.

Thank you! Yes, this is a Gilded Age summer home from 1897. It really does have lots of character, beginning with a 3-story suspended staircase, crystal sconces, fireplace in every room - for starters. We are very lucky it has been an inn since 1937, so it never went through a period of decline, or reached a phase where historical features were removed. They are all here. We appreciate the recommendation.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Terrace Inn. As others have said, the owner Stan went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. We stayed in the Pearl Davis cottage, and it was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable as was the room. We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch drinking our glass of wine in the late afternoon. Though there was no happy hour, Stan did offer cordials in the evening, which my husband took advantage of. Lovely touch! The Inn is just down the road from the town of Lenox which offered a good amount of great restaurants. We would definitely visit again!
