We have stayed there twice. Second time was in the separate guesthouse, which I preferred since it felt a bit more private. First time we were in a king suite that had a hit tub and kitchenette. Breakfast is extensive and the coffee is always fresh. Our first visit was marred by extensive construction noise from the house next door...

My wife and I visited for a Valentine's Day weekend and we fell in love with the town and the Inn. Stan, the Co-owner, truly embodied the Inn hospitality experience with historical references and information, as well as top-notch service. The rooms were recently updated while maintaining the historical character of the Inn. Surrounded by antiques and history, you'll enjoy...

Thanks, Isaac! I also enjoyed meeting you and we really hope you can come back this summer. You took advantage of our Classic Romantic Package, which included a $30 gift card to the GREAT wine/gourmet food shop around the corner, 6 red roses, and a sampler box of chocolates from Chocolate Springs (rated top-10 by Saveur Magazine). We price this...

My daughter and I spent a night at the Hampton Terrace Inn last night and both of us found it extremely charming. Stan was a gracious host and his breakfast grits were to die for. The location is perfect for exploring the area and walking to nearby restaurants and shops. This place really captured my heart. Highly recommend.

"Captured your heart." Wow. Thanks! A word about grits... I am from Macon, Georgia, and Susan's family is from the New Orleans/Baton Rouge vicinity. We grew up on properly-seasoned grits, so we do not hesitate to offer them some mornings to our guests. We know that many people see them on the side of their plate at Waffle House or...

We stayed in the Spencer Room for a romantic weekend getaway. We couldn't have been happier! The jacuzzi tub is awesome and the fireplace is so cozy. The bed was super comfortable and we loved having a wood fireplace. Breakfast was also incredible! Stan was out of town when we stayed, but his friend Jan and her sister were so...

The best part about this review is that we (Stan and Susan) were out of town (which is rare) and the inn was being operated by two ladies we have come to trust. When we do take the occasional trip, it is SO reassuring to know that great reviews can continue to come in. Thanks! And we do hope to...

My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Terrace last summer. It is located near the hear of Lenox, within walking distance of all of the restaurants and shops. The amenities and rooms are first-rate, and the owners see to every detail. We recommend staying for several says; it is an experience worth savoring.

Here I am going to agree with the use of the word "perfect" in a review. Lenox IS perfect and we are very lucky that all Lenox attractions are within short walking distance. There are dozens of shops, 15 restaurants of all types, galleries, historic house tours, museums.... And I agree, stay at least two nights to hit even the...

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Terrace. The rooms were cozy with a corner fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was great and Stan the owner couldn't have been nicer! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Thank you! We really appreciate the recommendation and the reason I am nice is that I mirror our guests. It can be quite pleasant here around the inn, and my commute to work is down the grand staircase.

Stan was an amazing host, the inn is perfect, and the stay was great. We stayed the weekend before Christmas, which is apparently a slow time, so we had the lodge we were staying in entirely to ourselves. Breakfast was homemade and tasty. Definitely recommend as a romantic vacation!

December is a great time to visit. Hampton Terrace is decorated for the season - and it is true - the crowds are light around the holidays. That means no lines in the restaurants, museums, etc. I do have to admit....the last three reviews have dropped the word "perfect." We will continue to try hard to fulfill expectations!

We stayed at Hampton Terrace during the peak of fall colors. Took many scenic drives of the area and hiked Mount Greylock. Stan is an amazing host and he made sure our stay is perfect. The hotel is close to visiting many area attractions including the Norman Rockwell museum.
