We had an Excellent stay in a lovely inn. The room was Spacious. A nice breakfast greeted us each morning. The inn is charming. The proprietor was helpful. The location is a short block from the main streets in Lennox and a quick drive to key attractions.

The Hampton Terrace Inn offers amazing common areas, outdoor heated pool and a relaxing porch to enjoy culinary treats obtained from local shops. The location allows guests to easily walk to a variety of shopping and dining options. Ample on-site parking is available. Additionally, the owner Stan provides guests a lovely homemade breakfast, coupled with excellent communication before and during your stay. All of the guests we met during our stay return annually, speaking to the level of service and professionalism offered by owners. Thank you for a great stay!

Excellent service in a quaint setting. Clean room, friendly owner and lovely breakfast. Walkable to local shops and restaurants. We stayed for a long summer weekend during our first time in the Berkshires and our first time at Tanglewood.

The Hampton Terrace Inn is an absolute GEM! The atmosphere is one of relaxed friendliness seamlessly combined with refined elegance and beautiful antique furnishings. The breakfast is wonderful and different every day. It’s been a week and I’m till missing the frittatas and chocolate French toast! Our room was spacious and lovely. The walk to all the quaint shops and restaurants in town took five minutes. In short, it was perfection.

SO APPRECIATIVE of this feedback. We know how important a good breakfast is, and we were relieved to be able to get back to our breakfast buffet when social distancing restrictions were lifted. We have tried a lot of different recipes over the years, but there are several which have become staples here, due to guest feedback. Our "three flavors of French toast," a choice of blueberry or banana pancakes, our sweet corn and herb frittata, grilled ham streaks., etc. Can't forget our "seasoned grits." And we recently are slotting in some special regional dishes, such as Shrimp & Grits and Biegnets. Looking forward to your return.

My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Terrace for a couple nights while going to Tanglewood to see Robert Plant. We throughly enjoyed the experience. The breakfast each morning was delicious and filled us for the day. Stan greeted us each morning for breakfast and checked in via text if we needed anything which I loved as for the most part we were out and about for the day. The location was nice and easy walking distance into the little town to shop, grab coffee and explore. The pool was a nice added relaxing bonus. We will definitely be staying there again next year when we go back to Tanglewood.

Everything about this place was spectacular. We stayed in the main inn, and the rooms are just lovely, super-clean, have everything you need and are very well-maintained. We were especially impressed with the shower, which has amazing pressure that you can dial up or down. Cordials and water are provided on a complimentary basis. The Inn looks exactly like the photos and there are plenty of lovely, cozy places to hang out in the house. We were there for a wedding so several couples were there together and the owner was very cordial about us lounging all over the place! I read some of the reviews complaining about the Carriage Houses, so I chose to stay in the main inn, but my friends stayed in the cottages so I got to see them and they were lovely and comfortable! Also the breakfast has something for everyone, even if you don't like the main items being served there is plenty else to eat in the form of fruits, toast, yogurt, cereal, etc. and they rotate the hot breakfast daily. The inn has a great location, just two blocks from many excellent restaurants in the main village of Lenox. The owners go out of their way to try to accommodate. Some of the other reviews I read complained about the lack of "perfection" of the grounds, but remember that this Inn is charging much less than many of those "perfect looking B&B's" while providing lovely rooms and much better service, as well.

This was my second stay, first time was in the main house, this time I stayed in the Carriage House, peerless room. This is the perfect place for me to stay because I did a few days at Kripalu. For me, I needed a mental break from Kripalu after a full day of yoga, classes etc… so I wanted to settle in to a nice warm bed and a hot shower and watch TV and rejuvenate by the warm propane fireplace. It’s just a short 2 mile trip down one street road. I really loved my stay at the Hampton Terrace, and I really loved being a Kripalu but I do not love staying overnight there. So if you ever want to visit Kripalu and just want to stay someplace where you can decompress after Kripalu then this is the perfect place. It’s not fancy or expensive but it is homey, comfortable and the perfect getaway. I felt like I had two wonderful experiences , one was the days I spent a Kripalu and the other was the night spent at the Hampton Terrace. I highly highly recommend it. And for me it was considerably less expensive than staying anywhere else. My room was very nice. I know the owner mentioned he’s aware that the room could use some refreshing in the bathroom. But again, I loved it!! I felt safe and the owner was always available to answer my questions. He even helped walk me through getting my TV cable to work :-) it was after 9 o’clock at night, and he couldn’t be nicer! I really couldn’t be more thankful or happy with my choice to stay there. I will definitely go back.

As part of a two week New England road trip we stayed three nights in one of the King Suite cottages at the rear of the property. Our room was delightfully furnished with a comfortable king bed and a nice sitting area. Good sized bathroom with all amenities. There was a wet bar with sink and a coffee machine along with an (unused by us) jetted tub. The small outside sitting area within view of the swimming pool was a nice touch. Breakfast was taken in the main house and is a buffet affair. A little crowded one morning when everyone seemed to come down at the same time but anything that ran out was quickly replaced by owner Stan who seemed to be on top of everything. If you (and he) have a moment do ask him about he ended up in Lenox. Talking of Lenox, it's a charming small town (even smaller than we thought) with pretty much one main street with some cross streets. Easily walkable from the inn. Restaurants and galleries abound. All three evening meals were excellent: you won't go hungry.

Thank you for such a comprehensive snapshot of your stay. We have been at it for 24 years, and yes, we are used to about anything - even the occasional rush to the dining room. That is not typical, however, as we have 22 seats, up to 28 guests on any given morning, and a 90 minute window. So usually the breakfast buffet is more of a spread-out dribble of guests coming and going. And we are very lucky that the inn is a comfortable stroll to anything in town. Hope to see you back at some point.

Great Inn! Owner was so nice , he had breakfast on point! Everything was fresh and they had my moms room already before we arrived.. it was her 70th bday and they added some beautiful touches to her private room ! We will stay here again! Next time on the actual House, not in the back building. Our other rooms we stayed in were more run down and need somewhat of a freshing up.. the blue building was nice .. that room was cozy and clean .. Next time we will get rooms reserved in the actually House!

We recently stayed at Hampton Terrace Inn for a couple of nights. We chose this Inn based on previous reviews. We also agree with the 5 star reviews. The Inn is very charming and a perfect location. Stan(owner) was most hospitable and extremely knowledgeable of the area. Breakfast was delicious and Stan graciously accommodated my wife who has special dietary needs. We would highly recommend the Inn to anyone planning a trip to Lenox. We’d like to return again.
