If you are taking a Berkshire summer getaway for the same reasons as a century of city folk from Boston and New York, then find out what made it wonderful for them and stay in an appropriate place. Comfortable, clean, elegant, friendly, relaxing. Excellent location within walking distance of Lenox town center with its dozen restaurants. "Motel" and "Berkshires" in the same sentence is oxymoron. Do it properly, you won't regret staying here. It's just lovely......

Property's Favorite Review
For a second year in a row my boyfriend and I drove north from NYC for a fall weekend getaway celebrating our anniversary. The McCaffery's have a fabulous B&B that is cozy, clean, comfortable, spacious, and filled with delicious baked goods and hearty breakfast. This year we even had a hand written note in our room (I chose the Eleanor this year) congratulating us on our anniversary. We are looking forward to making this an annual get away in the beautiful Berkshires. This year we didn't hike, but instead visited more great restaurants in Lenox (Alta is lovely), Edith Wharton's estate and Clark Art Institute.

My wife and I have traveled to many different places and the Cornell Inn has one of the best breakfasts that we have ever encountered. To adjust for the Covid crisis, each meal was prepared separately to order and was perfect. Right from our first moment at the inn, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The inn is located just outside of downtown Lenox but close enough to be within walking distance. Would I recommend this inn to everyone ?? Absolutely ! Would I stay there again ?? Without hesitation !!!

Everything could not have been more perfect during our weeklong stay at The Cornell Inn. The proprietors, Nell and Tim, have a warm and inviting, beautiful and perfectly located place, with superb breakfast (with appropriate social distancing) overlooking a beautiful pond. They have thought of all the details and take great pride in making their Inn both warm and welcoming as well as functional and clean/safe. This was my second or third stay there, and each room is charming and unique, and they are very accommodating to a variety of needs. I would confidently tell any family or friends to stay here. The breakfast menu is delicious and nicely varied and custom and the property feels like a very lovely scale. I will definitely stay here again.
