My husband and I traveled to Stonover Farm for our anniversary and were welcomed by Tom and Suky. The suite we stayed in was large and comfortable! Wine and cheese at 5pm every night was lovely - delicious and fun, because they sat and chatted with us! Breakfast was 10/10. We enjoyed music in our room as well as DVDs from the collection downstairs. Super close to the town center of Lenox and neighboring towns like Great Barrington. Highly recommend for a relaxing, romantic getaway.
Wonderful stay, accomodations luxurious with privacy. Best location. Companionable guests. Best breakfast omellettes. Kudos to Tom and Suki. Book far in advance. We already booked for August. 202O, 0.8 miles to Tanglewood gate, steps away from Parson’s Marsh
Unique property with owners who are present to make sure you have the type of visit you want. We stayed in the main house suite 1. Beware you need to climb stairs to get there so if this is a problem make sure you get a different room. Extra large sitting area/ bed with very nice views of the property. Double sink bath with huge enclosed shower and separate tub. We really enjoyed the calm spacious design that is much more like a top hotel suite then a B&B. Breakfast is excellent, with a mindfulness not over do it, but focus on quality. Location for tanglewood is the best in the area. A 5 minute drive to a parking spot down the road and a short walk to the main gate. Thanks to Tom, Suki and Brandy for making our 3 night stay a special one. Highly recommend!
From the moment we arrived at Stonover Farm we were captivated by the warmth and beauty of the bucolic setting as well as the inn . We felt welcomed by Tom and Suki as if we were friends. There is art in every nook and cranny of the inn and wonderful touches that will delight you. The rooms are appointed with lush bedding and overall obvious care for the experience of the guests. Coffee was available from 6:30 am for early risers. Breakfast was delicious. You will love Suki's homemade granola. It's simple and not too sweet. We will definitely go back..
I want to preface this review to let readers know that I am pretty negative most of the time and actually look for issues; maybe it is the NY lawyer in me. Let me say: this is a FIVE star experience from top to bottom. I could not find one thing wrong with this property. In fact, it was a dream come true, spotless to the core and exceptional. The details. The owners. The scenery. The charm. The location. I will have to address all of them below: 1. The attention to DETAIL is impeccable. The entire place, I mean the entire place, from the smallest stone walkways, to the corners of rooms and nooks in the exterior of the buildings are SPOTLESS. When you walk out of your room in the morning, you smell the glorious bacon, coffee, piping through the stairwells. The wine and cheese at 5:00 p.m. is just perfect before heading out. The rooms are cleaned after breakfast and are spotless. 2. The owners, Suki and Tom. Well there is no other way to describe them other than to say: down to earth, incredibly personable, and provide a perfect mix of availability as well as just letting you be. They make you feel like you own the property and are just sharing it with them. Tom is an incredible cook. The breakfast alone is worth the night's price. Next time I return, I want to cook breakfast with Tom. Suki is very knowledgeable and provides awesome ideas, such a local hike that is just across the street. Not sure if this is OK to post, but Tom is a music industry legend, and you would never know it. Wonderful people. 3. The scenery. The best of all the B and B's in Lenox. Trust me, we looked at every one of them. Most run down, and in the middle of main roads. This place is an oasis just 1.5 miles from the center of town. Duck pond. Gorgeous trees. Silence. 4 acres of plush serenity. 4. The charm. The breakfast is so welcoming and so...cozy. Great coffee. Great eggs. Great views. A very large main home, but the rooms are almost like a very small maze. Plenty of spots to cozy up. Books galore, movies to choose from, wine, cheese, an old school gravel driveway.... 5. Location: 0.5 mile walk to Tangelwood. 1.5 miles to the center of Lenox, but yet a WORLD away with respect to scenery. I would never stay in the town of Lenox after staying at this retreat. No comparison. I could go on and on. I will be going back with my family and we will book the entire place! Congratulations to Tom and Suzi for maintaining and running this absolutely incredibly getaway. we WILL be back…
