This inn was recently sold. The place has gone to seed. Carpets and upholstery need replacement. Housekeeping is very light. Ajax Tornado is urgently needed in the bathrooms. No one is at the desk after 5pm. To be paying over $300 for a room in this inn is outrageous.

We spoke several times before your visit. We spoke in length about several things, several times. You declined housekeeping services, therefore, the housekeeper did not enter your room, per your request. So, yes, the housekeeping was light. You were also informed before you made the reservation, that the office staff leaves at 5 pm. There was however, restaurant staff that could provide you with whatever you needed and you were provided a phone number in the event of an emergency. The new owners inherited the carpets and upholstery. The Inn is will be closed through mid-January to renovate the rooms, which includes both carpets and upholstery. You were well aware before your visit exactly what we offered and what the price was. Unfortunately, we cannot please everyone all the time, but we appreciate the feedback.

This property was in a great location, but in disrepair and sad. Absolutely not what it must have once been. Hopefully the new-ish owner will do something positive here because it has great potential. Absolutely not worth the rates charged.

We selected this hotel based on its reviews and the lack of availability anywhere else . We were very unimpressed with the interior and our room . The place looks very dated and run down . The furniture is aged and chipped everywhere . The bed linen is old , over washed , faded and over recycled . It is so thin that it lost its structure and feels like a veil . The towels are the type one can find at a motel 6. I will not comment on the bathroom besides the lack of decent size amenities. The shampoo and conditioner were Lilliputian size , barely sufficient for 1 person . This place is the only one displaying vacancy in the town of Lenox this week and rightfully so . We spent $550 per night during COVID and will never return or recommend it . Everything in this place is of lowest quality and one should look elsewhere . Don’t be a victim of the reviews like we were , they are very misleading .

Gateways Inn was a treat. The Inn is very cozy and well designed. I enjoyed the decor and overall feel of the whole place. The restaurant and bar are beautiful with nice dark wood and plenty of windows. The hosts Michele and Eiran were so kind and down to earth, it was like staying at a friends home. The location is perfect as the little town is right around the corner full of art galleries, cafes, and great restaurants. I will be back in the summer time to enjoy it in a different season. And hopefully catch a jazz night in the Gateways Lounge!

My husband and I were here for a special Valentine's Day date night. Everything about the Gateways Inn is wonderful. We were greeted by the owner when we arrived, and got the grand tour of the inn and our room. We were lucky enough to stay in the Desdemona Room with a private gas fireplace. The king bed was amazing and the flickering fireplace really added to the ambiance...along with the adorable teddy on the bed in a Gateways robe. We had dinner in the inn's dining room, which was a fabulous 5 course meal, filled with surprises like a complimentary hor d'oeuvre platter. The food was amazing. I really loved the breakfast that the inn served the next morning. It was a buffet of wonderful cheeses, muffins and OMG! Fresh Squeezed OJ. What an amazing touch. I can tell the owners here work hard. I saw Michele helping in the dining room and lounge until after 9pm, then she was there bright and early the next morning setting up breakfast. The most amazing thing I learned from Michele is that the kitchen staff is all-female - from chefs to diswasher to Michele, who is the kitchen manager. Very cool. I'd highly recommend the Gateways Inn.
