The Lakehouse, as always, was a wonderful stay. Although we missed the delicious breakfast, we hope it will be back when the apocalypse is over! The shower in room 31 is amazing. We highly recommend a stay here.
I’m lying in my comfortable bed at this Inn that cost 400 per night and listening to the conversations of the people next door on both sides of the room. Ridiculous that in their renovation they didn’t make sure there was adequate sound proofing. Came here for a romantic private weekend away from the kids during covid and instead I feel like I’m in a cheap motel yet paying luxury prices. They aren’t even offering breakfast anymore. Even with earplugs I can easily hear the neighbors in rooms next door. Don’t come here.
What a delight! In addition to a beautiful, clean, and spacious (lake view, queen) room, the setting could not be more perfect if you want to be on the water. Even more than the stunning view of sunset on Laurel Lake (and that alone would be enough), this property has a dock and both kayaks and paddleboards available for easy use. I went out first thing every morning and two of the four days was the only person on the lake. It was heaven. I went back out before dinner each night to paddle into the sunset- truly, like a dream. I met 1/2 of the ownership team, Cody, who was lovely and it's clear he and his wife (whom I hope to meet on my next visit) love this Inn. They've framed a number of letters to the innkeeper from 1913 and hung them in the stair hall. Definitely take the time to read them- what treasures! I felt very COVID-safe. The Inn was immaculate and the other guests were respectful (and kind!). I met two couples who had been going to Lake House for years, and I plan to count myself in the ranks of happy repeat guests.…
This place is just amazing. If you're looking to unplug and get away (especially with your significant other!) this is the place to come. The rooms are clean and well designed, the property is beautiful, and the views are so peaceful. The lake was fun to have just steps away from where we sipped our morning coffee - kayaks and paddle boards can be used at your leisure, and we got a ton of use out of those. Because of COVID, they did not offer breakfast or housekeeping, but I still give the place 5 stars... can't wait to return when it's back to regular operations to try the food! On top of all of that, I left LakeHouse Inn with a fiance! Garrett was in touch with the receptionist, Ethan, and let him know that he was planning to pop the question in order to request a bottle of champagne. Not only did Ethan have the champagne ready right when Garrett needed it, but he even caught photos of the moment from afar, which wasn't requested of him! Great thinking, Ethan - you are a true MVP. Maggie and Cody, the owners, were also incredibly pleasant and helpful with any questions we had while there. Needless to say, we will definitely be coming back for years to come. Thank you for the best weekend of my life :)…
Lovely, peaceful lakeside location. Very clean. Plenty of space for social distance. First floor suites get noise from hall and rooms above but kind of expected with an older building. Only real drawback is that there is currently no breakfast except coffee, no room cleaning, fresh towels provided only if requested. Wine or beer available at happy hour but no food. Obviously guests keeping to themselves and wearing masks in public areas. Felt very safe although price seemed high given how fee services were available. Would consider going back in more normal times.
