Wonderful Inn. On beautiful lake. They provide free access to kayaks and paddleboards. Very clean and they host a lovely free wine and cheese hour every afternoon which you can enjoy overlooking the lake. Close to most cultural events. Highly recommend.
My husband and I spent 2 nights at the LakeHouse Inn celebrating a retirement and 65th birthday. Our celebration will be remembered with the most wonderful feelings because of this very special place. Thank you to all the previous visitors who left glowing and accurate reviews. We did our homework and this place did not disappoint. Our room and bathroom were updated with a contemporary feeling that we really appreciate and everything was exceptionally clean. The outdoor space connected to our room was glorious and the view of the lake spectacular. Breakfast was included, and it was absolutely wonderful. The homemade muffins, blueberry pancakes, eggs and bacon, and French toast were so good! Even the coffee was perfect! We also enjoyed the wine and cheese hour before heading out to dinner. Being able to sit and enjoy the amazing view of the lake during this time is a memory we will cherish. We are avid kayakers and brought our own kayaks with us. Spending the day on the water next to the inn was so much fun! Not to worry….if you don’t own kayaks, they are available at the inn….and paddle boards as well. Thank you Cody for your kindness, professionalism and dedication to making this special place one we will visit again and recommend to all.…
The view from the back of this inn is spectacular! There are plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy a bit of nature. It is conveniently located to all the Berkshires attractions. The rooms are very clean and the inn is well maintained. Breakfast was fresh.
The most charming inn with beautiful views of Lake Laurel. Free kayaks, paddle boards and life jackets for guests. The staff was fantastic, very helfpul and always available! The free breakfast was delicious and the inn hosts a daily happy hour with wine and cheese boards!! Our room was lovely and the bathroom was beautifully renovated. I can’t wait to go back and visit! Highly recommend :)
We stayed in Room 22 at the top of the stairs. The GOOD: — Room was clean, bright, and decorated well in minimalist fashion — There was a balcony off our room to sit and get fresh air, read, etc. — Relaxing outside with the view of the lake was spectacular — Breakfast (once we realized it was provided) was delicious. — Great location near many of the small Berkshire towns with lots of attractions (Norman Rockwell Museum, etc.) The BAD: — We could hear every footfall and many movements from the room above us. There was no “sleeping in”. We could also hear the couple in the room next to us. However, once I started speaking as loudly as they were, they caught on and spoke in more muted tones. For the price paid, that is not what we expected. — We made our reservation through booking.com, which stated that there were no meals provided. However, that was incorrect. BUT we did not know that because when we checked in, we were not told; and there was no signage in the check-in room, nor is there any info in the room stating that there is a breakfast and what time they serve. — We had ants in our room. I don’t blame the Inn for that, but it was uncomfortable for us, and we had to check all our luggage and clothes when we got home so as not to bring ants into our home. Once the Innkeeper was alerted, he quickly took care of the situation to our satisfaction. Overall, the Inn is lovely but hearing the people above us and to the side of us was off-putting.…
A truly perfect inn. Beautiful spot on Laurel lake in the berkshires. They offer a wine/cheese complimentary hour daily. It’s a great time to grab a glass of wine and soak in the views from the many seating options overlooking g the lake. They have kayaks and sups for guests use. Rooms very comfortable and nicely appointed. The breakfast was hot, freshly cooked and delicious. They offered three choices of breakfast. I would highly recommend this place.
We chose the Lakehouse for the lake (and enjoyed paddling) and location. The rooms are quite nice; the lack of drawers into which to unpack was no problem for just a short stay. We loved the breakfasts and even more so the lawn overlooking the lake. While enjoying complimentary wine on a comfy sofa outdoors, we were asked whether we'd also like a complimentary cheese plate. Yes!
The Lakehouse, as always, was a wonderful stay. Although we missed the delicious breakfast, we hope it will be back when the apocalypse is over! The shower in room 31 is amazing. We highly recommend a stay here.
I’m lying in my comfortable bed at this Inn that cost 400 per night and listening to the conversations of the people next door on both sides of the room. Ridiculous that in their renovation they didn’t make sure there was adequate sound proofing. Came here for a romantic private weekend away from the kids during covid and instead I feel like I’m in a cheap motel yet paying luxury prices. They aren’t even offering breakfast anymore. Even with earplugs I can easily hear the neighbors in rooms next door. Don’t come here.
What a delight! In addition to a beautiful, clean, and spacious (lake view, queen) room, the setting could not be more perfect if you want to be on the water. Even more than the stunning view of sunset on Laurel Lake (and that alone would be enough), this property has a dock and both kayaks and paddleboards available for easy use. I went out first thing every morning and two of the four days was the only person on the lake. It was heaven. I went back out before dinner each night to paddle into the sunset- truly, like a dream. I met 1/2 of the ownership team, Cody, who was lovely and it's clear he and his wife (whom I hope to meet on my next visit) love this Inn. They've framed a number of letters to the innkeeper from 1913 and hung them in the stair hall. Definitely take the time to read them- what treasures! I felt very COVID-safe. The Inn was immaculate and the other guests were respectful (and kind!). I met two couples who had been going to Lake House for years, and I plan to count myself in the ranks of happy repeat guests.…
