We chose the Ipswich Inn based on location to Crane's Beach for a wedding we were attending. It was only 10 minutes from the wedding location and walking distance into Ipswich for restaurant options. The East Room was great size for two and had all the amenities we needed. It was great to have breakfast included and so many options... More

Wonderful B&B. The room was lovely, the hosts were great and the breakfast was fantastic. Eat out on the back patio and enjoy the butterflies in the gardens and watching the bees in the corner of the yard keep busy with their hive. We stayed in the wicker room which was very nice. In room amenities included private bath with... More

There is not enough to say about Ray and this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. Our every need was met. We booked a room too small for our family of four and Ray graciously worked to find us another room and even went the extra mile by arranging to have our boys in a room next to ours so we could... I couldn't have been more delighted!! The Ipswich Inn is an eveloping, historic beauty! My room was comfortable and pretty. Ray and Margaret are the sweetest, nicest people, who make you feel right at home. Loved the indoor and outdoor areas for eating that SPECTACULAR breakfast, along with the quaint grounds. Being walking distance to town was also a bonus--... More

We were looking for a place to stay and I happened on Margaret's phone number via the spotty internet on my phone in rural Massachusetts. Margaret indeed had a room and kindly gave directions to the Inn as the sun was setting. We were first in the Swedish room - which was clean and cheery. Queen bed is VERY FIRM... More

The Ipswich Inn Bed and Breakfast is a delightful old New England inn run by Ray and Margaret. The building is filled with family memoribilia and period furnishings. The facility is well maintained and the staff friendly. We stayed in the Veranda room on the 1st floor. It's the newest addition to this inn. The room was large with a... More

I stayed here for a week with my son. Ray and Margaret are so friendly. Best breakfast in town. We stayed in the skylight room and it was very quiet. The housekeeping staff was very accommodating. I plan on staying here again in a couple of weeks when I return to Ipswich.

The East Room was large enough for sitting as well as sleeping. Lots of hot water. Great breakfasts. The owners are on site and can help as little or as much as needed. This will be my home away from home when I visit my brother and his son. I can't recommend it highly enough. Katherine, Raleigh, NC

We stayed here for an extended weekend and loved the place. Ray was kind enough to move us to a slightly bigger room (Swedish) than the one we had booked (Skylight). The bed was super comfortable. Not enough can be said about their breakfast. We wanted to eat everything. And though it was crowded with local guests, you feel like... More

My wife and I live in town (Ipswich) but we absolutely love going to the Ipswich Inn for the night to have a break from the kids. The owners are great folks and very accommodating. Check in and check out hours are pretty loose so getting there a little early or sleeping in a bit don't tend to be an... More
