Stayed 4 nights in a 3BR/3BA condo (6A) that was just adorable! The cottage, while dated, was so cute and quaint - exactly how you should experience the Cape! Jill and her staff are so welcoming and friendly, always smiling and waving in passing. The daily cleaning of the cottage was done while we were out and about (they watched our car) so it never interfered with our day and was done spotless. Everything and anything was cleaned/changed/replaced (towels, paper towels, garbage, etc.). The beds and couches inside were so comfortable; it was some of the best relaxation and sleep we had gotten in a long time! The village has many other cottages so it creates a small community feel, yet still private. 6A was especially private in that it had its own front patio/porch with a table, chairs and umbrella which made mornings and evenings lovely to sit, enjoy, and listen to the breeze in the big tree above. We were covered from any rain and it provided a refreshing shady spot to chill out. This place is a MUST! This is truly how the Cape should be done. Close enough to everything (walkable to beach, short drive to everything else), but far enough away to have a blissful retreat to yourself. Will stay here again every summer in cottage 6A, we can't thank you enough for a terrific vacation, Jill! :) :) - Jessica & Friends, July 2018

We stayed here a few years back and decided we’d return on this trip to America. The “village” is a collection of cottages, mainly semi-detached ones, in a lovely location – quiet peaceful grounds and easily walkable to the beach. Hyannis’ Main Street is about a mile away. Whilst the Village is obviously a commercial set-up, it is not the slightest bit corporate. And, in that, is much of its charm. But don’t expect corporate levels of maintenance – a coat of paint may be needed here and there, or the deck furniture may be well past its prime. But, inside our cottage, all was fine – comfy beds, equipment to cook if you wish (our self catering didn’t extend beyond opening a box of cereal – good breakfasts otherwise at the Sea Street Café). And here’s a good range of TV channel sand excellent Wi-fi. But, on the subject of technology, whilst the Village has a website, there’s no online reservations. Nor, most oddly, do they even have email. All arrangements have to be conducted by telephone and snail mail – not the easiest if you live on a different continent, several time zones away. But it is the peace and quiet that drew us back. Whilst we did do some fairly relaxed touristy things around the Cape, I think I most enjoyed the time sitting and reading on the deck, watching the wildlife pass by. It’s an excellent way to forget life’s troubles for a while.

Once again we visit our favourite place on Cape Cod. It is convenient to Hyannis but not within walking distance if you are not a keen walker. JIll, the manager, is always helpful. Housekeeping do a great job. They may not be the most modern cottages but they charmingly decorated, clean and comfortable. Will we be back. I do hope so, this is our tenth visit, and hopefully not the last. Thanks Jill and Lexy and Kim.

Just got back from our first trip to Cape Cod with our kids. We stayed in two different cottages because of availability (i.e. moved cottages after the first couple of days). The first was more updated than the other (wood vs carpet, large kitchen & island, dishwasher), but both were very clean, well equipped, spacious, and comfortable - plus the outdoor deck and bbq provided more space and cooking options. There was no air conditioning, but each room had a fan so that wasn't a problem for us. The location is great - a short walk to a nice (small) beach, and a quick drive to many other spots. The grounds are well kept, flowers everywhere. There are beach chairs, umbrellas, and other beach items to borrow which was nice to have. Wifi was included and worked great. Jill and the other staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Overall a great place to stay.

I've stayed at CGV a couple of times. Jill and Lexi are great hosts and were very accommodating to mine and others needs. It's been awhile since I've been there, but would most definitely stay again. When we stayed, we felt like more than "just guests". The village itself is a little old, but that adds to the nostalgia. The rooms were impeccably clean and were within a walk from the beach, the Kennedy estate, the wharf, and many nice restaurants. I would recommend CGV to any first-time visitors to the Cape. Jill, are you still single? :) Hootie from Kentucky

My husband and I stayed in a cottage June 25 - June 29, 2017. If you're looking for a place within short walking distance to Main Street and the harbor, this is not for you; however Veteran's Park Beach is a five or ten minute walk and everything else is a short drive. The grounds are beautiful, old cape style. The pool area is clean; a nice place to read a book or sun bathe - the water was a little cold. Our cottage was a small studio with a kitchen. Although it did not have air conditioning, it wasn't necessary; the open windows and fans made it fine for sleeping. The cottage was a bit dated and the shower was tiny, but bath towels, wash cloths, dish towels, dish rags, dish soap, pots, pans, and all of the dishes we needed were provided, as well as a coffee maker. We met some very nice people who were also staying there. Overall, I was happy with our stay.

Once again we found ourselves at our favourite place on Cape Cod. Everything was ready for us and we had a very happy week or so having this as our base for exploring and re-visiting our favourite places. Housekeeping always very obliging and Jill always helpful. I cannot recommend Captain Gosnold Village highly enough.....hopefully we will be back next year.

This hotel is a sweet, friendly, pink-shuttered village of cottages surrounded by carefully tended foliage and flowers, about a 5-15 minute walk (depending on the beach) to three different beaches in the neighborhood! What a marvelous location for a Cape Cod beach vacation. The cottages are from the 1950s, but well-tended. The window screens have clearly been recently replaced: they are tight with no holes. The interiors, though clearly dated, are clean and pleasant. The couches in our unit were plush and comfortable, and the bed was supportive. The kitchen was clean and stocked with homey touches. Though the curtains throughout the unit wouldn't pull smoothly shut and one window was missing the pulley system that would have enabled it to stay open, neither proved problematic for our stay, which was lovely in every important way. Jill, the outgoing and friendly hotelier, is quick to help. When we were mistakenly locked out of our cottage, she immediately came to help us get back in. When we wanted more fans, she made that happen. She also had excellent suggestions about where to go and what to do in the area. Behind her office is an array of beach supplies, including umbrellas, beach chairs, and towels readily available for the use of hotel guests. Though a number of guests on this site say that it is cool enough at night not to need the AC, I would recommend that guests order the AC in advance if they intend to come during hot summer forecasts, as I found that on two of the more humid nights, I found it too sticky to sleep comfortably. I didn't get to use the pool, but it looked clean, and the guests who were swimming seemed to enjoy it. Overall, I think this location is a fantastic option for a comfortable, clean, low-key Cape Cod stay. Highly recommended!
