I booked an overnight getaway for "Galentine's Day" and so I could do some beachcombing. Staying off-season was very affordable. This hotel just across the street from the beach, which was perfect. I stayed in a king room on the third floor. My room had a partial view of the beach, a balcony and a gas fireplace, which I really enjoyed using. The bed was super comfortable and the room itself was clean and nicely furnished. My only complaint is that none of the rooms in the hotel have bathtubs, and I would have loved a nice soak after being out in the cold. I was also hoping to find a bottle of water in my room, which I didn't, but would be a nice addition. The heated pool was open, but I never found time.
We need a place to isolate with our family but to get out of our house for a few days. Even tho only an hour away, and under normal times we'd come to nantasket just for a day trip, we decided to splurge for a two night get away for Christmas. It was a fantastic stay. There was a slight mix up w rooms, but team were proactive and found a more than fair solution. Hotel was very clean (and newly renovated on many areas). Check in was easy, staff super nice. Really liked our rooms for our family of 4 (got adjoining king rooms). We swam in the pool for hours (hottub is closed per COVID guidelines). Played on the beach for hours, got take out from neighboring spots. Only saw people at check in. Felt very safe and very relaxing. Definitely a great get away option.
I booked this hotel last minute for a weekend getaway with my family and it was fantastic. We chose a room with a balcony and "partial" ocean view and it was totally worth it. The "partial" view was pretty much a full view. The location is perfect as you can literally throw a rock to the beach, the building itself is right in the middle of Nantasket Beach. We patronized the Bread Basket Cafe, Hull's Kitchen, and the liquor store which were all great and in close walking distance. I love this beach, it was slightly off season so not crowded and plenty of space to comfortably go for long beach walks, picnic and watch the surfers. We also walked to the playground up the street which my kids loved and had a beach view. The Carousel closes after Labor Day so I was bummed we missed that. The hotel is being renovated and looks very nice. They allowed us an early check in and late check out which was much appreciated, you can tell the staff aim to please. My only disappointment was that the pool is not heated, which was one of the reasons we decided to book this hotel. We couldn't really use the pool as the water was very cold, but once that is fixed this will be a 5 star hotel. We will be back again!…
After driving 1.5 hours into my 4 hour destination of Nantasket Beach Hotel, they cancelled my reservation!! They said it was a computer mess up. That didn't help me. I then persuaded the "manager" Samantha to book me somewhere else. She told me she booked me at the Cohasset Harbor Inn. However, the manager from the Red Lion Inn called me to confirm my stay. She should be fired!!! She gas no clue what she is doing!! Niw where driving back home. Thanks for scewing up our Anniversary weekend!!
Wife and I needed to get to the beach and soak up some rays by the sea. Got an ocean front room w/balcony, and would be hard pressed to ask for more. Very quick and easy check-in, clean room, modern bath with a superior shower, and we were granted a late checkout. Would definitely return next time we're in the area.
