We had a very nice stay here. I had read both good and bad reviews of this motel and decided to take a chance and see what it was like. The outside of the motel is a little on the shabby side, but the room itself was very clean and well decorated. The bathroom really sparkled and seemed to have... More

There was no ice machine, no utensils, no plates. I had to go buy ice and plastic utensils, microwave on a paper bag and use a key chain knife to cut up fruit and. TV remote battery malfunctioned. The room was very dark.

We frequently visit this area, and have stayed here many times across all seasons. Best value in region if you only seek a comfortable bed in a clean room: usually 1/2 or less the price of inns in the area. Staff has been consistently friendly and helpful. Supplies are meager but they quickly provide more on request. We did get... More

We have stayed here a few times over the past couple of years to attend to business in nearby Northampton. If you can get past the run-down exterior with zero curb appeal, you will be surprised to see a room that is renovated, comfortable and clean for a budget price. Having stayed here before, we know that the amenities are... More

I guess the peeling paint on the exterior should have been the tip off as we pulled up to this "hotel". The lobby was the size of a small closet with the receptionist behind a bullet proof glass window. Thankfully my wife asked to see the room before we checked in. It was an 85 degree day and the window... More

After traveling through NY and the scenic 9 hours through the mountains, my friend and I decided to try America's best value inn again. I know in my last review of one, was horrible and I vowed to never again but one last Howrah was what I decided. Located not far from i-91, it is located off highway 5 on... More

My husband & I stayed at the ABVI in Holyoke on New Year's Eve. We were in the area to celebrate the festivities in Northampton, MA where all the hotel rooms were around $250 a night. I think we only paid about $50 (including tax) to stay here & the hotel was less than a 10 minute drive from downtown... More

Yes the smell is overpowering. I guess it's best described as musty. However the rate is cheap and if you are just looking for a place to sleep it's fine. I was expecting a complete disaster based on all the negative reviews but actually the room appeared clean and functional. Of course there are nicer hotels but you get what... More

Under the law of Massachusetts, this location is classified as a place for humans to stay. I cannot help wondering if it might be quickly repurposed as a hotel for pets. The complex scents that greeted me upon entering my room would delight and amaze any canine, feline or rodent guest. Was it musk? Compost? Cigars? Bleach? Mildew? I am... More

I needed to be 3 hours from home too early to drive the whole way in the morning. I needed somewhere to stay in between that would balance my travel time in the evening and the morning. This worked. The room was clean, the sheets were bright white, there was not a trace of mildew in the bathroom, DirecTV provided... More
