The only issue we had was the guy in the room next to us was a snorer and the walls are thin. Other than that it was a quiet, beautiful stay! We even had a keurig in our room.the waterfall, even in winter, was wonderful. We had a great breakfast at the coffee shop downstairs and they even accommodated for my gluten allergy. We'll be back definitely!
This is a mostly positive review. Staff was courteous and helpful. Coffee in the morning was great. The only problem was noise. Walls are thin, so we heard everything going on in another part of the building.
Wow! What an amazing time my friends and I had at the Old Mill Inn. Every year for the last 10 years we pick one place to visit. This year happen to be Massachusetts. The service of am and evening guest services person was outstanding. Anda went well out of his way to ensure that our stay was the BEST possible. His attention to detail and memory of our need’s were impeccable. I would recommend this INN to anyone. You’re in amazing hands. Breakfast was lovely everyday and much more then I anticipated having attended other B&B’s. The only thing that I would say needs some improvement. The rooms weren’t the cleanest. Whomever the house keeping manager is needs to crack the whip on their staff.
I stayed at the Old Mill for 6 nights recently while studying at Smith College. The Inn provided a wonderful respite from the busyness of Northampton. The bed and linens were very comfortable, and I was able to sleep really well in the peace and quiet there. It is lovely to hear the river water while going to sleep! Usually breakfast is served at 8:30, but the staff was able to accommodate me at 7:30 each day, and had the scrambled eggs and fruit that I requested ready for me each day. Brenda and Anda were friendly and service-oriented. The Inn was clean and well cared for. I really appreciated the in-room Keurig coffee machine, too. My only criticism is the self check-in process. My brother-in-law had driven me to the Inn, and helped me get my bags upstairs. I believe I was the only person staying that night, and if I had been alone, I would have felt uncomfortable.…
First time I've stayed in a B&B. The Inn served other uses prior to its conversion to a B&B. Quaint rooms with tons of antiques in the room and throughout the Inn. Private bath in each room with all the normal "hotel" amenities. Air conditioning worked really well. Nice change from a typical hotel environment; quiet with several rooms vs. tons of rooms. Since it's a B&B, only served breakfast, but one evening we ordered in and ate in the lounge area. Several restaurants within a brief drive as well and stores and areas to walk around. Easy drive from BDL airport @ 45 minutes.
