We spent a long weekend at the Old Mill Inn and stayed in the Hatfield Suite. The suite was completely updated while still holding onto the industrial look or an old mill. The furniture and bed was very comfortable and all bedding and towels were of high quality. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook any meal and the appliances are all top of the line. Now for the best part - the staff were some of the nicest people we have ever met! They were very friendly and extremely helpful with any questions we had. The Inn is perfectly located close to (but not too close!) the highway to get us to our many destinations. Would love to see the foliage and falls in the Fall. We will definitely be back!
We stayed in the Riverwalk Suite for the two weeks surrounding our daughter's wedding and loved everything about the Old Mill Inn. Gail and Deb treated us like family from the moment we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. Our apartment had a fully-stocked kitchen, top-of-the-line cookware, spices and other basic necessities and we cooked most of our own meals. But it was also nice to go upstairs to the café for morning coffee, sit on the porch with a sandwich, or sip a glass of wine at the end of the day. The inn also hosted our rehearsal dinner (catered by a local Indian restaurant they've worked with before) and we had hair and makeup people come in on the wedding morning to help the ladies of the wedding party look our best. So many moving pieces, but it all worked perfectly and everyone had a fantastic time. My husband and I consider the Old Mill Inn our home away from home. We will be back!…
I have never stayed in a room with a waterfall before. The rushing water just outside number eight, the Northampton room, provided an amazingly relaxing escape from the outside world. The space was clean, updated and had seven large windows. We also enjoyed the comfortable downstairs cafe. What really stood out though, was the incredibly welcoming staff. Everyone we met was so friendly and accommodating. We especially enjoyed, Gracie, a silent, comforting, presence.
In this refurbished mill, no detail has been to small to be overlooked by these creative owners. We absolutely loved our queen sized room. It was just beautiful, but not at all in a traditional “b and b” way. It was so unique…the decor was chic industrial and each and every piece of furniture, hook, lamp, chair, painting, etc, was part of the reason the room was so wonderful. Comfortable, calm, interesting, and different from every place we have stayed! The beautiful bathroom had everything we needed. There were lots of lamps, plus natural light. There was a wireless charger or two for phones, too. As it was Easter Sunday when we checked out, the cafe staff had the day off, but there was coffee and a large selection of pastries for us to enjoy in the cute cafe. We will definitely return. A bonus is that it is very close to Northampton.…
I think we had room 8, it was a corner room on second floor overlooking the waterfall. The sound of the waterfall was so relaxing the view was amazing. The renovations are so beautiful and everything was great. The little cafe downstairs had a terrific breakfast with a surprisingly broad range of menu items and great coffee. Really no complaints. (Well one, there were cobwebs in the exposed ceiling that looked like they'd been there a while but that's minor)
I just popped in and out overnight before a competition with my son. Super clean, very spacious, and one of the most comfortable mattresses that I have slept on. The baked goods were delicious. The staff made it though!! They were so sweet and kind… I would definitely come back for a longer stay and explore the area.
My husband and I and our 6 year old terrier mix stayed here in a gorgeous suite, completely renovated and absolutely huge. We had both a full kitchen, full bath, living room and large bedroom with a giant walk in closet. I cannot say enough about how clean and sparkling everything was and how beautiful and yes, hip, the room had been decorated. We cannot wait to return!!!!
What an amazing inn! We stayed in a suite overlooking the falls, with a separate sitting area and full kitchen. Easily the largest suite and most beautiful location in all our travels. Wonderful host, incredible bed and cafe. Five stars!
Absolutely loved staying here recently! The Location is perfect to get to nearby towns and slopes. The staff are extremely welcoming and warm. The cafe has excellent food and there is wine available too. All for extremely reasonable prices. The rooms are impeccable and clean. They have everything you need. I will say the walls are a bit thin so noise does travel. Overall I loved the experience of staying here and will definitely be back. My only two recommendations to the Inn would be regarding the quality of pillows and toilet paper which I think can be improved on. However, If you are looking for a place to stay around here, this is it!!
Anyone says "Old Mill" and I'm in because yes, I admit it, I'm a mill freak. But even if you are not you will love it here. Immersed in New England's industrial history, newly renovated rooms with everything you need and a rushing water fall just outside was a great experience. The local area is jammed with historic homes and farms with the college town of North Hampton near by. Flat roads in the area make it great for biking and looked to be flat water above and below the dam for kayaking.
