We just celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Wequassett and had a wonderful time. Our waterfront cottage was perfect, the bed incredibly comfortable, the grounds beautiful and the service very good. We had 2 delicious meals at the Outer bar and Grill. The only disappointment was our meal at 28 Atlantic- we reserved a window table at 7 pm on our actual anniversary. The day of, they called and switched it to outside, which we thought would be fine. When we arrived our table wasn't ready, and 15 minutes later they seated us at the Worst table outside, by the serivce station which was very busy, noisy and had no privacy. We requested to be moved and when we did we sat there for at least 15 minutes until we begged for service. Long story short, our meal was incredibly unsatisfying, very expensive and it took forever. We should have headed back to the Outer Bar and Grill! We will be back!…
We were looking for a relaxing getaway for 3 nights and Wequassett delivered. The room was stunning and the food was among the most memorable. I’d recommend making a rez at twenty eight Atlantic. We plan to return with the rest if the fam.
The value just isn’t there when it comes to this hotel. $800 a night will get you a room at the Ritz or the Four seasons, or Wequassett. However at Wequassett it gets you a super basic and quite frankly dingy and outdated room. Bed linens and towels are sub par, Towels were stained, hair in food we ordered, outdoor furniture is beat and in some cases tattered and the beach shouldn’t even be advertised, it’s a pile of rocks. The service is good but not 5 star. In fact while they boast being a 5 star hotel there is nothing 5 star about it. Positives are they have nice landscaping, it is very kid friendly and Twenty-Eight Atlantic is very good. Other than that attention to detail is lacking and overall underwhelming and a disappointment. If you are charging a premium you should be premium and Wequassett has a ways to go. We will not be back, we will advise others not to go and we will not recommend it. There are two other hotels in the area that are far better with far superior beaches.…
Nice resort, nice dinner with Dennis as our waiter.Monica was fantastic running the beach Bar and beach service.Very polite kind and hardworking. SHE made the beach enjoyable seeing it's really not a nice beach BUT THE SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD! ABOUT THE ROOM The room we had was room # 46 with a jacuzzi It was nice inside but has no viw, hangs over the parking lot with vegetation to keep it secluded. Really its very noisylocation people strolling by and golf carts Parking under it. You can consistantly hear the back up signal from the workers golf carts. So dont be fooled if you book this room.It is not so private nor very quiet. We asked for a room change but they couldn't help us at all.i really did understand they were sold to capacity however the reservation Clerk was absolutely rude .basically said well if you dont like your room then you can leave. WOW THAT'S REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL, We took her up on the offer We are leaving not because of the property or the room but because of the unprofessional response from the reservation clerk. A little kindness and understanding can go a long way…
We absolutely loved our stay at Wequassett! We had an Oceanside room with an outdoor jacuzzi and fire pit — it was beautifully landscaped and the room was very comfortable. Housekeeping was excellent. Service was impeccable everywhere we went. We loved taking the boat shuttle to the remote beach and the pool was also lovely. 28 Atlantic is amazing too! We split our time between Wequassett and Chatham Bars Inn because we could not tell from the online reviews which place was better. I honestly do not think it is a close call. Wequassett was far better in every way! Highly recommend!
