This is the second year we stayed at the Bass Rocks Ocean Inn and each time we come we have the same feeling.....peace, it is like coming home. The Inn is beautiful and the staff is amazing, breakfast is homemade and always fresh and lets not forgot the homemade cookies in the afternoon which is my husbands favorite. The rooms... More

We agree with Yankee soldiers review 100 percent. And, also want to add the vintage/antique billiard table was perfect for gaming and nostalgia. We also had the staff locate the name of the singer on a tape that was playing, for us. She did it with a smile and in haste. Above and beyond here. The detail and constant all... More

We arrived at the Inn to witness a breathtaking sunset! We sat by the fire pit and enjoyed the views of the Stacey House, the new pool and the ocean. How peaceful... We stayed two night in one of the gorgeous and very luxurious suites in the main building. Breakfast was all homemade and fresh fresh fresh. The staff was... More

My wife and I and our 11 year-old grandson just spent four nights at this beautiful inn on the ocean at Gloucester. We had a wonderful time. The inn is family-owned, and the pride that Tracy, Mark and their daughters take in their business shows constantly and throughout. The rooms are clean and spacious; they have all the amenities you... More

We had a wonderful experience at the Bass Rocks Ocean Inn. From the beautiful views, the lovely breakfast, the impeccably kept grounds, and the friendly, helpful staff, everything was great! The newly added fire pit is a fun way to spend the evening and chat with other guests. We will definitely return.

We were pleased with our experience here. The manager is friendly and helpful. Breakfast (included) is satisfactory. Our room was clean and everything worked. What's to quibble about? The bathroom was tiny. (I guess the designers were aiming to put as much space as possible into the bedroom.) The road crosses between the front of the Inn and the sea,... More

We went to this property for a "staycation". We live locally, but wanted to get away and still stay close due to family circumstances. The view is gorgeous, the rooms, the pool and amenities are are wondeful, but the staff is pehnominal. We had to leave unexpectedly due to family circumstances and they were so gracious about it. We had... More

Let's preface this review with the fact that this property is made up of three buildings and the one we stayed in was the Stacy House; the oldest building, built in 1897, and the most unique building on the property. The other two structures more closely resemble an upscale motel offering that offer fantastic ocean views, a neatly manicured property,... More
