We stayed in the Daring Adventure-great room. I believe this was the best wedding I've ever been to, other than my own. The staff was gracious, professional, and friendly.yet not "in your face". Everything was on time. The food was absolutely delicious! We had a lobster bake at the Rehearsal dinner and the Filet and Halibut for the Wedding.Absolutely flawless. We would recommend this venue for any event, and we hope to return in the future.

We celebrated our wedding weekend and it was a perfect time. Chef Dan’s food was flawless! Laura took care of every detail and Kaylyn and the team saw to our every need (even those we didn’t think about). Everyone at the wedding had an amazing time and I keep getting calls from friends and family about how well organized everything was. The location on the river has great views and is near so many sights. Don’t miss this place and be sure to plan to eat on site.

Super friendly staff and amazing food at the restaurant. The grounds were clean and welcoming... the mattress was a bit too hard for my liking but everything else was absolutely perfect. Great venue for a small wedding or anniversary. I stayed in the motor lodge, but will definitely try the main house next time

We stayed 2 nights with our dog in the pet-friendly west wing. The room was spacious, quiet and very clean. Although some reviewers mentioned uncomfortable bedding, that was not our experience. The continental breakfast was very good, nice choices including fresh fruit. The inn is very charming and the restaurant on premises was quite good and convenient. There are little seating areas scattered outdoors + on the classic wrap-around porch, perfect for breakfast or a relaxing spot to read. The location is excellent, about a mile to the harbor front but away from the commercial hustle & bustle. It is centrally located to explore the area, easy to find & easy access to/from main highways. We felt welcomed and cared for. Would definitely stay again!

My fiancé and I were planning on having our wedding reception here in September 2020. Due to Covid and a family illness we had to move up the date and decided to just have a small ceremony here instead and move the reception to 2021. I can’t say enough about how helpful and accommodating Laura and the staff were. Since it was such a quick decision things got a bit stressful but the castle manor staff helped us get it done! The wedding day was perfect. Dan the chef made some wonderful food, there was a great view of the ocean from the deck and lots of beautiful flowers. We are still having our large reception there next year and can’t wait! We know it will be an amazing time. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is throwing a party or someone who just wants a nice room, or food close to Gloucester happenings.
