The Shining Sea bike trail is a block away as is the Palmer Ave. parking lot to Martha's Vineyard. Downtown Falmouth is a short walk. However, the great location does not. make us for the small dark room. My husband and I stayed there for three nights in late September and were disappointed by the size and darkness of the rooms. There is a table and two chairs but they are crammed into the corner and only useful for shelf space. Since there was not any secure storage space, adding two bikes to the room made for a very tight squeeze. Staff were very helpful and a chain restaurant in the small building makes breakfast easy
We stayed here as part of a biking tour and the hotel is very nice and cozy as well as bike friendly. Is located very close to the bike trail which is very convenient. I had a tough time being understood behind a mask but that is his life is now, they are trying their best. We stayed in a annex building which was nice although they could improve the sound isolation
Stayed at the Inn on the Square with my family and could not have been more pleased with our stay. The room was impressively clean, the staff was knowledgeable and the location was perfect! The Inn is located a short lovely walk to town where there is plenty of shopping and a variety of restaurants- all wonderful options for lunch or dinner. We rented bikes and hopped on the bike path literally behind the Inn. Either head North to West Falmouth or South to the cute village of Woods Hole. We will absolutely come back in the Fall. In short- we highly recommend for families or couples and there are so many activities to keep you entertained. Can’t wait to return !
We enjoyed our recent three night stay at the Inn on the Square. The location was about a 10 minute walk to the restaurants and shops on Main Street. The hotel is also near the Steamship Authority parking lot. This was the first hotel we stayed at since COVID. We stayed in the main hotel, not the cottage. We had a corner room overlooking the back of the hotel. I must say, I was impressed how clean the room was. (I still wiped down surfaces and door knobs just in case). There was no housekeeping during our stay. Instead, you leave your dirty towels outside your door, and they replace them with clean ones. The hotel has a nice outdoor area with some chairs and umbrellas and a fire pit. People respected social distancing. My husband used the indoor pool, but said it wasn't heated. If you're looking for an enjoyable stay, and a simple hotel and don't want to spend a ton of money, I would suggest staying here. If we come back to Cape Cod, we would probably stay in a different part on the Cape, just for a change of scenery.…
within walking distance to shopping/eating area in Falmouth. First time there; recommended by neighbor who has stayed multiple times for business. Initial room we were checked into had dirty bathroom towel, broken bathroom door (would not stay shut) and a shattered wall behind the front door. They changed our room to another. Second room had dirty, moldy shower curtain and brown-stained curtains (hoping it was just chocolate). We didn't change and just went with it as didn't notice the dirtiness until late evening. Overheard two other guests that experienced maintenance issues while we stayed there. Restaurant attached (Percy's) is not good - eggs were old and tasted bad. Suggest instead to walk to downtown area. Coffee Obsession across the street is excellent. We will look for another hotel the next time we are there.…
