Pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Check in and checkout went smoothly with friendly service. Room was clean, updated and beds were very comfy. Hotel is close to town, shopping and eating options. Nice indoor pool area. Short drive to Woods Hole to catch a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Breakfast was a plus with enough options to get you going with a full belly. Hope I have the opportunity to return some day!
We stayed one night before taking an Audubon cruise early the next morning. It was clean and convenient to the harbor dock. Perhaps a bit overpriced but we booked late. It’s plain but clean and convenient.
I'm unable to upload all my photos so hopefully this tells the story. I used hotels.com to book my stay at the Falmouth Inn because hotels.com guarantees the amenities listed for hotels on the hotels.com website. I had major issues with the hotel (read on) and while at the hotel I brought up all of these issues multiple times to the hotel staff and no one ever offered to make it right or offered any kind of refund. I contacted hotels.com via email on September 21, 2022 regarding multiple issues I experienced, and hotels.com refused to honor the amenities listed on their website. Hotels.com’s promise was that (based on the content on their website) the room I booked included: Free Wifi Daily Housekeeping Working Bathroom (i.e. a working toilet) Bathroom Hairdryer Bathroom towels This should be a given, but a clean room should be included After hotels.com refused me a refund or credit of any kind, I tried to write a hotel review on the hotels.com website and that page is disabled, so the reviews on hotels.com cannot be trusted because they block negative reviews. I stayed at the Falmouth for a wedding and several friends and family members stayed at the Falmouth Inn as well, and we were all very disappointed. It was a horrible experience from the moment we first entered the room. When we walked in, the room smelled like poop and the smell only dissipated when we opened a window and turned on the air conditioner full blast for several hours. The room was dirty - there were stains on the air conditioner, both curtains and the towels which are supposed to be washed and clean. The internet/wifi which was supposed to be included didn’t work at all for anyone. I spoke with 4 other guests we knew who were also there for the wedding and I checked their phones too, none of the other guests could get online either. I repeatedly went to the front desk and told 2 different desk clerks and they kept saying it was an issue with my phone. I kept resetting my wifi and restarting my phone in front of them and they were very rude and still didn’t believe me. It was only when I watched 3 other hotel guests in the lobby argue with them and back me up that they did anything about it, but that was the next day, so I had no wifi for 24 hours. None of the desk clerks ever apologized or said they would try to fix it. The staff just kept gaslighting me and saying I was the one who didn’t know how to use wifi and that was not the problem. The toilet did not work properly, after being flushed, would run and run and I had to keep jiggling the handle to fix it. I’ve had that same thing happen to several toilets at my house and I know it’s a $5 10 minute fix. We weren’t given a hairdryer that was supposed to be included with the room and I had to ask for one at the front desk. The towels were all stained, the curtains were stained, the bathroom was dirty and had hair in the sink when we arrived. The bath towels were tiny and not bath towels, they were the size of hand towels, the toilet paper and tissues were thin and poor quality. They didn’t give us enough soap or shampoo for 2 adults. The bathroom was dirty and had stains everywhere, and there were weird holes in the bathroom wall. Both our keys stopped working and we had to get them reprogrammed. Two of the outside doors that required keys never worked and we had to enter through the lobby which was a longer walk. I told the front desk and they never apologized or fixed the doors. I watched the maid service the rooms around us but no maid serviced our room the first day. I had to go to the front desk to get more toilet paper and soap and shampoo. There was no hair dryer included with the room. There was no hair conditioner, just soap, shampoo and body lotion in the bathroom. Being there for a wedding and not being automatically provided with basic bathroom necessities like a promised hair dryer and conditioner caused extra hassle. I went to the front desk to tell the woman at the front desk that we had no conditioner and she looked and said they didn’t have any, and she agreed that it didn’t make sense to have no hair dryer or conditioner but she didn’t apologize or offer to do anything to help. She didn’t even tell me where to buy some and I had no wifi so I had to use my cellular data to pay to look up a nearby CVS so I could buy some. I had to use gas and waste time driving to CVS to buy conditioner. The entire experience was awful. The hotel is falling apart and the staff didn’t seem to care, and they didn’t even acknowledge the issues and no one apologized or ever offered to make it right. Hotels.com does not stand behind their guarantees and they do not guarantee the amenities listed on their website, and they disable negative hotel reviews.…
We stayed here in 2018 with 25 bicycling couples and it was a pleasure to be back. The location is perfect. It is clean, quiet and comfortable. The effort staff was friendly and helpful. We did not have any issues to resolve. The morning breakfast is simple but still plenty. We plan to return!
The room was fine except for one thing--the air conditioner was so loud! It woke me up over and over every time it kicked in. This was room 110. =========== (Repeating to reach TripAdvisor's 200-character minimum) The room was fine except for one thing--the air conditioner was so loud! The location of this hotel is ideal. It is walkable to the pier, good seafood restaurants, boat rentals, and excursions, and the Island Queen Ferry ride to the Vineyards. Local shops and restaurants are also nearby. In fact there is also a very good authentic Greek restaurant connected to the hotel and a Diary Queen directly across the street. Beyond its location, the staff, in particular, Sancia was extremely helpful. She directed me to places of interest and provided guidance about the best ways to get there. Sancia made my stay more pleasurable and the staff kept my accommodations clean.
Hotel was very clean, staff was very courteous and helpful. Beds were very comfortable. If I had to make some suggestions for improvement, please put air conditioning in the hallways and arrange your lobby furniture to make it look more pleasing and welcoming when you enter. Also, please offer fresh fruit and yogurt with the breakfast. Otherwise, hotel does a very good job and you can tell they care.
Great rooms, service and location. Very friendly staff. Only reccomendaction is to get better card keys. We had a few issues with the key fans erasing otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and will be back again.
We ended up booking here last minute when there was an error with our other hotel reservation. Overall it was a decent place 2 stay and close to town. There is also a restaurant on site, but we did not try the food. Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool. We would return.
Stayed one night. Great location. Within walking distance to restaurants. Dairy Queen across the street Pleasant staff and decent continental breakfast. Walls a little thin, could hear guests in the next room and in hallway. Would stay here again.
