Our fourth time at the inn was to take part in the 1920's themed murder mystery night for halloween. What a blast! All participants were dressed in period clothing and took on the persona of their assigned character at the Grand Gatsby Speakeasy. Lots of mystery and veiled "threats" left it up in the air as to who dunnit. Live piano music and a great spread of food added to the special event.

Property's Favorite Review
Our third stay at this top-notch lodging, like the previous two, did not disappoint. The Bates room was cozy, clean, and comfortable for our two-night 4th of July weekend stay. Innkeepers Pattie and Randy were their usual gracious selves and made us feel quite welcome and at home, as did the entire staff. Falmouth was abuzz for the holiday, but the real treat was the two tickets Pattie was able to arrange for us to view the fireworks over Falmouth Harbor from the Island Queen ferry. It was a blast (pun intended)! Breakfast was delish and served on the covered porch with an ample helping of cordial conversation with other guests. We're already booked for December and the Christmas fling at the inn. Looking forward to it. Highly recommend this inn.

Wow, this property has everything going for it. Well, except for Randy, the male host. He is absolutely the wrong person to run a B&B! He greeted one female guest with "Hey, good looking." He suggested that my wife sit on his lap because he was Santa Claus. We asked for advice on parking for the ferry and he said "I'm not answering that. You've already been told." He snapped at my wife for not understanding which coffee pot to use. He made it clear that he had rules and that we needed to follow them. We initially thought Randy was just trying to be funny, but we quickly formed the opinion that he is just mean and misogynistic. We felt like we were walking on eggshells. It was very uncomfortable. I am still having trouble believing that all this happened at a B&B with good ratings. We will NEVER stay there again. What a shame…it’s a wonderful property. I could give details about it but it just doesn't matter.

Beautiful New England B&B located on Main Street Falmouth. The reception was welcoming and informative. Our room (Robinson) had a gas fireplace which was charming and useful in October. We also had an outdoor siting area. The breakfasts were gourmet and varied. We look forward to visiting next fall.

This was our first time staying on Cape Cod and we were very excited to stay at the Captain's Manner Inn. We arrived late, yet received excellent "late night check in" instructions from Patricia, (the owner of the B&B). Once we were settled in about 10:30PM we were pleasantly surprised to find such a beautiful place. We woke up the next morning and seeing the beautiful grounds, were excited for a delicious breakfast. Patricia is such a lovely, hard working host, and makes sure everyone is taken care of and having a nice breakfast experience. Then, we met her narcissistic husband Randy. Ughhh! He seemed nice at first, but then began making sarcastic and rude comments to us (and others). I think he believes he's being funny yet and doesn't seem to have a filter. Patricia was running around making sure everyone was doing ok, enjoying breakfast, yet he didn't lift a finger to help. His only interest was walking around talking to guests and saying rude, sarcastic, and smart-ass comments. It was such a shock thinking he's going to be this friendly host and then starts saying things like "are you going to let me talk...?!!" We read another review (after we checked out) that said Randy bothered them so much, that they actually went "offsite" for breakfast. That's pretty ridiculous considering it's a B&B!! Half the reason you stay at a B&B is for a nice breakfast. Next time we visit Cape Cod we'll find another place. Somewhere where they don't have a rude host like Randy!!

The Captain's Manor Inn is an elegant place to stay in downtown Falmouth. With quick access to the bike path, restaurants, Steamship Authority bus, and shops, it's convenient to major attractions. The beach is a mile away. The porch overlooks a beautifully landscaped yard and offers a nice spot to have a glass of wine and read a book. We stayed in the Tuscany Room, which had a comfortable four-poster bed, large closet, two sitting chairs, and an up-to-date bathroom. Nice touches included a makeup mirror, bathrobes, and travel essentials. There are no room refrigerators or safes; plan accordingly. This is a perfect spot for couples to enjoy downtown Falmouth.

This Bed and Breakfast has such elegance and charm. I loved my stay in downtown Falmouth. I had a lovely walk to the french bakery and sat in the park across the street. So many stores and restaurants are all within walking distance. Hubby and I walked to the ferry terminal, spent the day in Woods Hole, and then hopped the boat to the Vinyard for the night!! We will be back, and until then, I'll be dreaming of my afternoon cookies and breakfast on the Veranda.

This was our first time in Falmouth and the the downtown is delightful. Walking distance from the Captain's Manor to the restaurants was the best part of our stay at the Inn. I had a hard time coming up with how many stars to give this review as the actual INN is amazing. What isn't amazing is the Innkeepers. Here is the breakdown: 5 Stars goes to cleanliness, location, meticulous property and landscaping and very good Breakfast and presentation! What could possibly be the problem, sounds perfect right? Pattie and Randy are the owners and if I could give Randy a star it would be 0. Pattie deserves 4 stars. Here is what to expect: Randy doesn't lift a finger to help carry luggage up their grand staircase. He watched his wife, Pattie help us carry heavy suitcases up the stairs. We had a lot due to our family of 4. We also pulled into the driveway the wrong direction and was told upon arrival we came in the wrong way. I knew at that moment, this is going to be an interesting stay. Breakfast is served from 8AM-9:30AM but they prefer you get down there by 9:15AM. If you don't get downstairs by that time, it doesn't work for them and they will let you know it. We told Pattie at our arrival that we would be down by 9:15AM. Our first morning my husband and I showed up and our teen girls were coming down shortly. Pattie said for me to take the 2 top table that the other tables were reserved for the Canadians who were supposed to come at 8AM but were late and hadn't come down yet. I asked where my teen daughters are supposed to sit? She said that everyone came down at once and that messed up their schedule of how to serve people. I offered to sit on the porch with my family if that makes it easier (although the Canadians were given preferential treatment over my family who was present at the time.). It was very hot and humid outside but we sat outside so as to no complain. Randy was told to set the table outside on the porch for us. I had went outside with my coffee to sit down and was told by Randy, "I need you to back away while I set the table". It was very rude. Later that day, the AC in the Bates Room stopped working. Pattie called us while we were out touring that we could use a different room to sleep in that evening since it was so hot. I really appreciated her giving us that option which we took. We slept in a queen bed that wasn't near as comfortable but was good to be in the AC. The next day the AC still wasn't fixed due to power outage in the entire house (town power outage). We had the option to sleep in the smaller NYE room with AC with the rickety bed or sleep in the BATES room with no AC and super comfortable king bed. We chose to sleep in the BATES room with windows open. Upon check out, I assumed Pattie was going to give us a discount on our bill for the AC issues and not being able to enjoy the room for $399 a night. Once I saw that she charged me the full amount, I had asked if she could give a discount for the small room that we slept in and also for the AC issues. She was taken back and almost flabbergasted that I had asked for a discount. Randy came around the corner and just stared at me and said "You can't take the heat". We would've put you up in another place and rented the room out to someone else". I told him I don't think he could rent the room out with no AC in the hottest July day in years. 95 degrees plus. He said "yeah thanks". Pattie did fix the bill and was very quick to get me out the door. She obviously doesn't handle conflict to well just wanted me to get on my way. My husband and I discussed our stay and we both came to the conclusion that they are not in the right business. This is a people business. Customer service should be top notch. Making your guests feel like they aren't welcomed and abiding by too many rules that it makes the stay uncomfortable. Guests come to a B & B to feel relaxed and special. Unfortunately due to Pattie's rude husband, Randy, this is definitely not your best choice for a business. Randy should keep his jokes, sarcasm, and fear of germs some where else. You don't belong in this business if you can't get near people!

Late May stay was beyond all our expectations. An oasis of charm, beautiful grounds, magnificent Inn, and excellent Inn Keepers. What more can I say, breakfasts were extraordinary. Inn Keepers Pattie and Randy are so gracious. Attention to every detail was phenomenal. Yes__like others we booked our return before leaving. Can’t wait to to go back.

We are so glad you enjoyed your time with us and the lovely town of Falmouth. Falmouth is very special and we are so fortunate to be here. We are thrilled you enjoyed the breakfast as you know our guests get to try the experiments and we appreciate the feedback. We will see you soon for our latest creations for the fall/winter season. Oh, the corn that was planted and looked so bountiful have the squirrels ate everything!!!!

We chose to elope at Captain’s Manor Inn and it was the best decision of our lives, Randy and Pattie and the rest of the staff were absolutely wonderful! We woke up every morning to a fantastic breakfast, music, and Randy and Pattie’s positive vibes, setting the tone for our day. Our actual wedding day was perfect. Our room was a beautiful space to get ready in, filled with natural light and a fire place. Pattie coordinated with a local florist and baker and had a custom cake and flowers to our specifications, leaving us free to relax and enjoy our time together. The property is gorgeous and served as a wonderful backdrop for photos. Even though our family wasn’t with us, Captain’s Manor felt like home and Randy and Pattie, family. The inn is so conveniently located on Main St making it easy to partake in the local shopping and restaurants. It’s official, I’m obsessed and I can’t wait to go back!
