Just finished a 3 day stay at Vineyard Square. The hotel’s location is the best within MV. It’s walking distance to all the restaurants, shops, beaches, and lighthouse. The rooms are small, but typical for a small hotel on the beach. They have been renovated recently and are comfortable. One of the nicest things about the hotel is it’s front porch and rocking chairs. We spent a lot of mornings there drinking our coffee. Due to Covid, the hotel is delivering a fresh breakfast to each room every morning. We loved the coffee, freshly baked croissant, and granola bars. Lastly, the service at the front desk - Evelyn in particular - was exceptional. There wasn’t a question they could not answer and they never got tired of us asking.

We came to MV for a weekend getaway and we planned our stay at the Vineyard Square Hotel. This couldn’t have been a more perfect choice. From the minute we walked into this charming hotel, we were surrounded by truly exceptional staff. Audrey checked us in and immediately made us feel welcome. We enjoyed a nice small chin-wag with her before we went up to our suite on the 4th floor. The suite overlooked the harbor and had a balcony with spectacular views. We were in the heart of Edgartown and from the moment we walked in, we knew we picked the right place. Breakfast was avail each morning. Evelyn and Sandi were also working the front desk through our weekend there. I cannot say enough positive things about all three women. Evelyn and Sandi took care of us and helped us with questions we had about the island, places to go and just a friendly smiling face each time we walked in from an outing. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Thanks Mark - We do have the most amazing staff -- the women you mention rock! They try very hard to meet every guest's individuals needs and wants. It is that attention to our guests and to every detail that make the Vineyard Square Hotel a truly unique island getaway.

I’m writing retrospectively following our visit last September 2019 as I feel following COVID 19 so many places/ hotels / restaurants ...now need to have positivity to keep going and maintain the economy of the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard Vineyard square hotel and suites is our ‘happy place’ Wes , Evelyn and all of the staff at the front desk represent professionalism, and such welcoming faces and so eager to assist with any small request. The hotel and suites are beautiful, comfortable, and so accessible to Edgartown and the entire island. Brendan’s legendary breakfasts are something to behold and a real set up for the day , with lots of thought and research into health and nutrition. The rooms are so comfortable and the staff do such a great job daily refreshing the rooms and suites. Just sitting on the deck and watching the island pass is fun in itself. We love the ‘ in house bike scheme’ and the ability to travel around on two wheels as we need. Looking forward to healthier times

Enjoyed our visit to vineyard square. We were in queen room. Somewhat basic but adequate. I would not rate it a five star hotel but nice boutique type hotel. Limited electric sockets ( needed for chargers , etc.), small vanity, comfortable bed, great breakfast. For the most part, staff was nice but seemed a little frazzled when busy but tried to help. I only had one experience with a staff member who very obviously ignored me when I was standing at the counter and he would not even acknowledge my presence. The hotel is in a perfect location in Edgartown. Close to restaurants, bars and shops.

Yes, our location is second to none on the island. We are in the process of putting extra electrical plugs in the rooms on each side of the bed. We apologize if the front staff seemed frazzled, there are times on the island when the visitors are overwhelming. I am glad you recognize, as do so many reviewers, that our staff goes above and beyond to accommodate all guests in a welcoming way - from our free bike rentals, to beach gear, to our wonderful breakfast, to the best recommendations for the island's finest restaurants, recreational activities, and sites.
