We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vineyard Square! Beginning with the warm reception from the front desk, to the beautifully appointed room, nice balcony, lovely rocking chairs and perfect location we could not have been more pleased. The hotel was spotless, and every staff member we encountered seemed as though they really were happy to be there, a rarity these days! However, what really topped it all off was the exceptional breakfast! What a selection and gourmet quality to match!

Great hotel find. From booking, to checking in and out, the staff was always friendly, helpful and pleasant. The cozy queen is a perfect room with a small refrigerator and everything you need including a cozy and very comfortable bed. The breakfast each morning was a delight of fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, muffins, frittata's, croissants, tea, coffee and juices. Easy parking, close to restaurants and stores and the harbor just down the street. The veranda offered a beautiful harbor view. I will stay here again if ever back on Martha's Vineyard. Great place for a reasonable price. Mahalo to the staff at Vineyard Square!

The front desk and staff were absolutely fantastic, and our room had a beautiful view of the harbor and was near to upper porch where we sipped champagne and watched the boats in the harbor. Breakfast was delicious and the service was very attentive all day long. Our room was quaint and clean. We can't wait to return next September.

The Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites is a fabulous place located on one of the most historic areas in Martha’s Vineyard.
Vineyard Square offers everything you need to have a great stay. My husband and I were warmly greeted by the staff.
Throughout our stay, the entire staff was extremely accommodating: special thanks to Marjorie who went out of her way to make our stay even more special.
You will be pleased to know that hotel serves a delicious breakfast spread with no plastic-ware😊
The attached restaurant was closed during our stay but there are several nearby restaurants. We had a wonderful picnic at the nearby Fuller’s Street Beach and Edgartown Lighthouse.
The hotel conveniently provides bikes, beach chairs and towels.
Our suite (931) was very quaint, comfortable, and spacious, with a waterview deck.
We’re very grateful to Vineyard Square for helping to make our 33rd anniversary very special.
Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites is a very special place.
P.S.
Please check with the hotel if you have any ADA needs.

the service at the Vineyard Square Hotel was excellent from the beginning. A few days before we arrived they sent a welcome note and I noticed that I had forgotten to make a reservation for a parking spot. I called and they quickly made the reservation for me (and there's no charge for parking). When we arrived the team could not have been nicer...we were given a beautiful room with a view of the harbor. Everytime we walked through the lobby we were greeted by the nicest staff and they offered us beach chairs, towels and water. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

We took a 2 day trip from NY & stayed at Vineyard Square Hotel. The staff at the front desk were quite welcoming. Especially Marjorie who was patient in answering all my questions & even escorting my husband & I through the back & garden area of the hotel to the shortcut that placed us closer to where we could proceed to the bus stop. The hotel is perfectly located to the shops, eateries, public buses and the water. We enjoyed the cool breezes sitting on the hotel's veranda. The breakfast was a special treat of unexpected delicacies. WOW! We'll be back.

Enjoyed a perfect late fall stay at Vineyard Square. We had room 931- a lovely suite with a balcony and views over the town to the water! We stayed four days, but would have been comfortable for much longer, with a well-equipped kitchenette (toaster oven, microwave, sink, fridge, plates and utensils, and even a dishwasher!!) and lots and lots of closet and drawer space. The balcony has both a couch and a table for two, and we brought the complimentary continental plus breakfast (mini frittatas, ham & cheese and spinach & feta croissants, yogurt, etc.) up to enjoy the views. The living room in the suite has a gas fireplace- so cozy! Sammi at the front desk was especially lovely, always greeting us, offering restaurant recommendations, and welcoming us back at the end of each day. There are also complimentary bikes, and we had a great day riding around (even took the bikes on the ferry over to Chappy!). Highly recommend and will return!

The location of the property is very good, downtown and easily walkable to restaurants, shopping, beach.
Parking is a couple blocks away about 5 min walk.

We chose a dog friendly room which was tucked away in the back of the hotel upstairs. Very loud with garbage removal and recycling at 5:30 am.
The property is very tired, carpets stained and dirty, as is the sofa in the room, bathroom needs an upgrade, fan very loud, caulking peeling away and discolored. Bed was comfortable. Overpriced for quality of property.

Fitness center equipment also old, except for the one Pelaton.

Chesca’s Restaurant on property very good.

My husband and I travel to MVY a few times a year for a relaxing getaway. We have stayed at a few hotels and rented homes, when traveling with family. Our stay at Vineyard Square in September was absolutely fantastic. We brought our own bikes and they provided a locked area in which to store them. The suite was beautiful and quiet, had a gorgeous view of the water, and had all of the amenities we would ever need for our stay- microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, kitchen sink and dishwasher. Breakfast was delivered every morning and was MORE than enough for that meal and snacks throughout the day. We look forward to returning in the Summer!

My daughter and I had the great fortune to find this wonderful hotel for our annual Mother/Daughter trip. The hotel Manager, Wes, was extremely accommodating as we had to make some changes to our reservation. We had a 4th floor 1 bedroom suite with a view of the harbor. The room was fantastic, bedroom, kitchenette, living room and outside deck. The furnishings were modern and just what you would expect for the Vineyard. We were able to have coffee in our room in the morning which for me is critical. And we sat out on the deck every evening after a full day of bike riding, kayaking and sightseeing and enjoyed the beautiful view. There is a tv in the living room as well as the bedroom which was nice so that my daughter could watch tv late if I was tired and wanted to go to bed.
The hotel has a breakfast every morning which is very good, fresh and healthy. They had a few different kinds of quiche which I appreciated because I like to have protein for breakfast. They had no issue with me taking a tray up to the room so that I could enjoy it on the beautiful deck.
The staff was very friendly and there was always someone at the front desk to help if we needed anything.
The hotel has parking but as noted on the website, please be sure to let them know so that you can reserve a place. It is about a block and a half away (short walk) but there is a loading zone in front of the hotel and the staff helps you with your luggage.
The hotel has bikes as also noted on the website but they go quickly. However that is not an issue as the manager referred us to a bike shop a few blocks away and there was no problem getting a bike.
The hotel is right in the heart of town with great shopping and wonderful restaurants within blocks of the hotel.
Due to COVID, room cleaning was at the request of the guest which they asked you when you checked in. We requested fresh towels daily and some other things that were done as requested.
The hotel was very clean including the bathroom in the lobby.
I have stayed at other very nice places in Edgartown but I now have a new "Go-to"! I can't wait to go back ...

Hi Nonni - Yes we are open year round, though the older half of the hotel is closed November - April, but the newer half containing the luxury suites (9 suites), and our our pet-friendly suits, are open year round (except January). We hope you can getaway and visit us. Jack (owner)

Hi, YES we offer free parking (one of the few hotels on the island that does). The lot is about two blocks from the hotel. While it is usually available, at times in the high season all the spaces are taken, so you should request a parking space when you make your reservation.
