This hotel was amazing. The bed was soft, there was a white noise machine in the room, the decor was cute, and it was near everything I wanted to see in Edgartown! The digital key was a huge plus. I couldn’t have chosen a better hotel in Martha’s Vineyard.
New hotel with several room options. Stayed in Rm #2 (King sized bed). Super clean room and hotel and it was pet friendly so our dog came along. Missed having a mini fridge in the room althogh there was a "shared" kitchen space just off the lobby (didn't want to leave food in there). Robes, slippers, and reusable shopping bag were nice touches, but no phone in the room, no hotel personnel around, and again, no mini fridge. Also - the doors leading to the outside never locked- even though there were key swipes making us think we needed keys to get in after hours. Turns out, the doors were always unlocked. I would definitely consider going back. Part of the group that owns the Edgar, Richard, and Sydney.
It’s fairly new and was very clean. No one is on duty ever! We had to check in thru Open Key app. Luckily our daughter was with us as we are in our 70’s. There was no elevator. No one to ask any questions. As far as we could tell the front door and back door were unlocked all night. We felt very uneasy. The bathroom sink area is small. Very little space to put things. We had no soap by sink. The one chair in room was small and very low. Need an adult chair.
Loved the furniture and decor. Very comfortable, relaxing and stylish. The gentleman on staff was very, very nice and accommodating and went out of his way to help us out with some travel logistics. We were there for a wedding and it was the perfect place to stay. A very nice walk into town for a bit of exercise. There are a few cafes and restaurants on the same block as well., and a bike rental a couple houses down the street. Nice, large beach towels. We didn't use the beach chairs. We had no problem finding parking spaces on property, but it wasn't peak season when we went. I'd stay again for sure.
Although it was new and clean - it was like staying at a friend's house but with zero amenitites. No water, no robes, very limited access to an actual person unless it was while someone was there cleaning the rooms. The girls that worked there were nice, but very limited knowledge of the Vineyard. Water was the biggest issue - there was a small fridge in the common area with a Keurig...that should have been stocked with water. They kept saying "that was supposed to be done yesterday" - we were there 4 nites, and there was a grocery store a block away - come on, ridiculous. I woke up in the middle of the night parched and had to root around to find something to put tap water in. Won't be returning.
Very sweet, new boutique like hotel that is dog friendly. Our room was very clean and lovely. Also very quiet, considering the location on main st Edgartown ! Walk to town, bars, shops, coffee, dinner, lighthouse beach, chappy ferry. It’s is our new « short stay » home!
We were a little disappointed. While the room and bathroom were clean, there were no amenities at all. No bottles of water in the room, no in room refrigerator, no freshly brewed coffee in the “kitchen”,no breakfast options (even boxes of cereal or cold fruit were missing), no ability to have a cocktail or snack, It lacked the simple touches and little things of a higher priced hotel, so for the money it wasn’t a good value at all.
We are a family of five with two dogs. We stayed at the Franklin for 3 nights in two separate rooms. We were all very impressed with this new boutique hotel in Edgartown. It’s walking distance from town and steps away from many great restaurants. The rooms were very well decorated and clean. There are many spots to sit and enjoy your coffee or cocktail or simply people watch! Hats off to the proprietors for developing and launching such a nice hotel (I believe it opened in June 2022). Highly recommend.
loved this charming and stylish boutique hotel! It is in a great location with many good restaurants just a stones throw away. I liked the fact that the main town was only a five minute walk away. The rooms were beautifully decorated and I enjoyed all the little “Franklins”( owners French bull dog)decor inconspicuously displayed throughout the hotel. Nice touch! My room and bathroom was impeccably clean.. Rachel and Emily were sweet and helpful. Thank you for all of your suggestions and recommendations for shops amd restaurants 😉. Can’t wait to come back next summer
We had a great stay. Nice and clean with a friendly staff. Just watch your step when figuring out the key on your phone. Sometimes there’s a step up that you don’t notice if you’re looking at your phone. Lol
