The Fallon is everything you want it to be. It is so clean, and the staff is so friendly. The rooms have all the modern amenities, yet it feels like you're staying in a chic distant family members home. The location is ace, especially when you consider Murdick's Fudge is across the street. Drinking coffee and reading on the beautiful...

An outstanding location, spotless room, luxurious bed and amenities. Breathtaking flowers around the grounds, relaxing private porch or chairs on the front lawn to sit and relax I cannot say enough about The Fallon. I wish we had time to dine in the restaurant. It looked lovely.the Fallon was quiet but at the same time there was always someone if...

Staff, friendly and fun, rooms creative and comfortable, best so far ever in Edgartown, and we have tried many!! They are helpful and very informed of all the Vineyards great happenings. This is really a hidden gem. Location could not be better with a rich, historic feel but with modern flair. The owner is always on site which gives a...

We stayed at The Fallon this weekend and had such a great experience I had to write something here. We arrived Friday evening and were directed to our room upstairs which was so comfortable and private. We had our own clean bathroom, small refrigerator, WiFi, reading chair, etc. There were books and magazines to read. It was perfect. It's a...

I recently found myself extending my stay on Martha's Vineyard at The Fallon as a result of hurricane Sandy. I would like to thank it's host Carol Beecher for being most outstanding, calm, cool, and collected through it all. Carol made sure I was WELL stocked w/all the necessary essentials as well as checking in on me frequently to ensure...

Stayed for two nights while attending a wedding. It is a gem- centrally located, clean, nice size rooms. Only issue was the funky-shaped shower but we managed. A/C was super quite and loved the "humming machine" in the room. Super-comfy beds! DId not get a chance to eat at L'Etoile, the restaurant attached but menu looked fabulous. Looking forward to...

My wife and I stayed at the Fallon for two nights recently. It is a wonderful inn in the perfect location. The atmosphere is very relaxed yet classic vineyard at the same time, it was not stuffy at all like some of the B&B's in Edgartown. Everything was super easy, from check in to check out there was no hassle...

I stayed at the Fallon with my boyfriend for a few nights last month and we loved it. There are no cumbersome check-in/ checkout processes at this inn-- you pick up your key and you have checked in-- it is just simply elegant and a great experience. We arrived very late on a weeknight and even though the kitchen at...

This is a great inn but if you are uptight and go to bed at 10PM, stay elsewhere. When you get back from eating and need a nightcap or three, stop in a the bar before heading up to your room. All of the rooms are nice and each one offers a different feel and experience. We usually book with...

My Wife and I recently spent the weekend at this wonderful Inn and simply can't say enough about it. Everything from the grounds, to the room itself, to the staff was perfect. If you've never been to the Vineyard it is well worth the trip. The Inn itself is located in Edgartown which I think is the nicest of the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to The Sydney (formerly The Fallon), an intimately sized boutique Edgartown hotel. Completely renovated and refreshed in 2015, this chic jewel is located in the heart of Edgartown above the renowned l'etoile restaurant. Featuring 8 stylish Edgartown hotel accommodations, The Sydney is your key to an exclusive and relaxing Martha's Vineyard vacation. The name "Sydney" means "wide island south of the water" -- an ideal description of Martha's Vineyard. Our boutique Edgartown hotel is a small but distinctive fixture in central Edgartown -- a magnificent Victorian home built in 1892 by Captain Charles W. Fisher, with an intact lawn and lovely architectural details. That's why we call The Sydney a "small jewel on a wide isle." It's petite, chic and perfectly located. ... more   less
