The Ashley Inn is located in a very nice part of Martha's Vineyard. We traveled the island n I would say it's the nicest town. 10 minute walk to the village which has nice shops n plenty of restaurants. The owner of the Inn, Fred was ever so nice n helpful with great suggestions to dine n places to see....

Stayed at the Ashley Inn for 5 days during off season, I had a wonderful time! Fred is a great host! Gave me some really good suggestions on where to go and places to eat, he even gave me maps! I also had a pleasure of meeting Annie, one of the staff and she is absolutely delightful! Very warm and...

A warm and inviting place to stay on a January weekend. Our room was small, yet comfortable, and provided everything we needed for a weekend visit, even the surprise of a TV and wi-fi ! The quaint common area is reflective of the house's 19th century origins and we had the opportunity to spend time there to have coffee and...

Very friendly. Nice choices at delicious breakfasts. Very convenient to town. Nice quiet back yard to sit in peace and quiet on comfortable lounge chairs. Suite with fireplace comfy. Oatmeal cookies at night extra treat. Slightly shabby.

The staff and owner were extremely nice and very accommodating for our group of 18. The Inn is within easy walking distance of the town center of Edgartown, and there are plenty of sights and things to do on the island.

Fred, the owner of Ashley Inn could not have been more gracious and helpful when we arrived at Edgartown with reservations elsewhere only to find that the other Inn had been closed down by the chamber of commerce. It was literally the busiest weekend in Edgartown, with president Obama there, and there were no rooms anywhere. He found us lodging...

With so many negative reviews about the condition of the rooms, my husband and I were a little concerned about our stay. Ashley Inn far exceeded our expectations! The main house is nicely decorated and charming. We were served breakfast there every morning and had our choice of 3 options plus a variety of scones. Every afternoon cookies and lemonade...

We booked this hotel online on the day of arrival ( August 13 2015 ). When we arrived, they told us that due to another guest issue with their on-line booking, the room should not have shown available. Quickly the staff called the owner, who promised to honor our booking and work to rebook the other quest. After lunch they...

We did a spur of the moment trip to Martha's Vineyard and booked this room only 2 days in advance as the island was totally booked up during this busy weekend. What a delight the Ashley Inn proved to be. The owner, Fred, was most helpful in anything we needed. He provided us beach chairs for the day and many...

Well, let me tell you the pros first. Fred, the owner was very personable and helpful. Other staff very pleasant. Breakfast substantial. Great location which enables one to walk into town. Plenty of hot water for showers. Hair blower worked well. Cons. Room not well maintained. Eg, could not use 1 drawer on dresser as both knobs were missing. Wallpaper...
