Loved the location for Christmas in Edgartown! Dog friendly which is wonderful because our dog is family. Rent was cleaned well and appreciated the convenience of check in and check out process. Parking lot was a huge plus!
After booking online at one price I was overcharged and it took 3 phone calls to get a refund. I found the increase in the rate unjustified as there were things no longer available that used to be at a less expensive rate.
We did a quick overnight stay on a Saturday for the Edgartown MV Holiday Stroll. Pleasantly surprised as we have been going to MV almost 30 years - mostly in summer - and have walked by many times, but our first time staying here. The communication process was outstanding and service was top notch. The lobby and commons areas were nicely done and our room was great .... looked to be newly renovated and the décor was beatiful. If you are looking for a location in the middle of action in Edgartown - this is iit
We had a wonderful experience from the get go...the hotel was festive, clean and relaxing. This was our first stay at the property and we enjoyed every minute. We also enjoyed The News. The staff made our stay very enjoyable and met every need.
Very good experience. The room was large and clean, with nice furniture, and had a view to the ocean. The bed was very confortable. And the bathroom was complete, with robes. There is a coffee machine an and a fridge in the room.
Loved our two nights at the Kelley House. Chose it for its location near the wedding and reception that brought us to the island. Lovely place, spacious room (#316...which is top floor and at end of hall so there's windows on two walls), big shower and everything looks new. We enjoyed the small bar out back, and met people we continued to bump into and now we follow each other on InstaGram. Note, there is no elevator, so dragging a suitcase up stairs can be tough. Highly recommended.
Excellent customer service accommodating our extremely early arrival. Upgraded to a suite which was gorgeous with a lovely private deck. Staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful- texted us to alert us of room availability. Great location in Edgartown near water and shops.
Hotel has been modernized with contemporary feel. Rooms are nice size with vinyl flooring, but materials used come across as lower end in terms of quality. There was an overall lack of cleanliness in the common areas (hallways dirty, empty glasses laying around for days in common areas), as well as the floors in our room felt gritty and had not been swept. The biggest issue was no AC for 2 days when it was very warm in the room (we were told it was off for the season, but I think enough people complained that 2 days into our stay it was put back on). Staff was pleasant, but not very helpful (had to ask for toiletries multiple times before receiving them, as the rooms were not made up unless requested). Overall I was disappointed, as I had heard good things about the hotel prior to this renovation. I heard another renovation is planned to make it a “boutique” hotel, which seems to (sadly) be the trend on Martha’s Vineyard in general…which is too bad, because the quaint island feeling is all but gone from Edgartown, imo.…
Could not have been better! Perfect Edgartown location. Valerie at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. Hotel was so comfortable and clean. And uses Le Labo toiletries. (My favorite brand perfume) The only complaint was the size of the bathroom sink. Too small.
This hotel is located on a great area. The staff was very pleasant and attentive, as much as could be. Upon arrival, the lobby is decorated in a very modern fashion, looks nice and is very photographic… the room, too; however, at night the weather dropped into the 50s and having traveled from Los Angeles, my son and I were cold. We notified the front desk and they came and turned the heat on, but during our entire stay, no heat ever came out, so we were cold the entire time, unfortunately… this made everything else about our stay, somewhat unpleasant. The salt water/ocean odor permeated the room so much, that even after spraying with the air freshener, which we kept during our stay because we were spraying frequent, the smell returned within a few minutes. My clothes that were in my suitcase and especially my pajamas, retained the odor, so I immediately washed and placed in the dry cleaners, everything from my suitcase, upon returning home. I was so hoping that something was done to improve the smell, considering quite a few reviews indicated this problem, but I guess the surveys and complaints are going unread, unfortunately. Also, at this price point, I would expect that there would be some type of refreshments available for guests in the lobby… lemonade, cookies, fruit… something. But there was nothing, not even a vending machine on the premise… the only thing provided by the hotel, was lemon water. No special views, although my room supposedly was a garden view… I feel like this was false advertisement, as there was no garden… my view was the front lawn and the street. I’m not sure, other than the hotel’s location, how they can continue justifying the price they charge, and I feel like I should be refunded half my rate per day, as the rates seem to be gauging and again are totally not justified.…
