We loved our stay at the Hob Knob. It was perfect for a long weekend wedding. The breakfast was yummy, the staff friendly and helpful, and the accommodation perfect. We would stay there again and again.

We couldn't have been happier with our choice of The Hob Knob (THK) !! My girlfriend had never been to the island so I wanted this to be a special trip for her and THK was the perfect place !! Abby, Forest and the team made us feel right at home and special. Anything we wanted they were able to help us out. The wonderful ladies in the kitchen delivered our complimentary breakfasts to us in our room each morning and the afternoon snacks and tea were scrumptious. Forest helped us rent bicycles and made a reservation for Alchemy for our final night there as and it was as special !! My partner and I would say "I love this place" each day after we came back from our activities. Def will be a return customer !!!

Can’t give enough great reviews for the Hob Knob Inn. I was contacted about a week before our arrival and asked what time we planned to arrive, if we had any special needs or requests and if they could make any reservations for us. On day of arrival, when we pulled into the parking lot, Forest greeted us in the parking lot, assisted with out luggage and gave us a very heartfelt welcome and ‘orientation’ to the Inn. The following morning, we were greeted by Abby’s smiling face. She assisted us with plans for the day and made some excellent suggestions. Abby and Forest were a great ‘face’ for the Inn. They were both extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The ladies in the kitchen were friendly and provided delicious breakfasts. The inn itself was immaculately clean, very cozy, and very inviting. The outdoor spaces were beautiful and very well maintained. I can not say enough great things about Abby, Forest, and then entire staff at The Hob Knob Inn. Highly recommend staying here - you won’t be disappointed.

We stayed at the Hob Nob for six nights. Accommodations , location and service all met our expectations! Two minor comments - mattress on bed in Room 11 dipped in the middle and overall was somewhat soft, and on our last day at breakfast they ran out of their delicious ginger scones and the usually fluffy eggs were over cooked. I would recommend to anyone traveling to MV.

Just thought back to a great stay last Fall at the @hobknobmv during my stay on @marthasvineyard . The Hob Knob, Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa is close enough to the water in Edgartown that you have walking distance options to the Edgartown Lighthouse, downtown shops, and restaurants. The Hob Knob is a 19th-century Gothic Revival building that has a beautiful wrap around porch and several patio gardens allowing for open air dining for breakfast or afternoon tea or take out. They also have indoor options of a sunroom, fireplace room and dining room. The staff are more than happy to provide plates and silverware to allow for a feeling of normalcy while responsibly distancing. The rooms are everything you would expect of a high-end boutique hotel. They are classic, clean, and comfortable. Originally called the Fuller House they hosted John F. Kennedy in the years before he became president.

On our first-ever visit to Martha's Vineyard, the Hob Knob was, in a word, perfect. Like a microcosm of Edgartown itself - pristine grounds, breathtaking charm, immaculately maintained, and full of friendly, welcoming people - the hotel and its staff immediately felt like we were visiting an old family friend. The "luxury" of this experience is that - somehow - there is always someone available to take care of you, while simultaneously understanding when to retreat into the background to let you enjoy the private moments and make it feel like home. Rooms are cozy, quiet and well-appointed. The wrap-around porch and outside dining areas are inviting and comfortable, providing great vignettes to read a newspaper, take your morning coffee, or share a Scotch or glass of wine. (The inn does not have a bar, but provides glassware and ice in the living room area if you'd like to bring your own.) A pleasant walk down Main Street takes you by shops, historical sites, and gets you to the water in no time. We already miss our stay in the Vineyard and Hob Knob and can't wait to return!

The Hob Knob Inn is a perfect get-away! My communications with both Abby and Sam could not have been better, from the time I made our reservations to the time we had to leave. They made certain we had everything we needed or requested. Eugenia and the kitchen staff prepared and served fresh and delicious breakfasts every morning of our 6-day stay. The beautiful Inn was so very quiet, with quaint indoor spaces to sit and read a book and a variety of lovely outdoor spaces snuggled into the most magnificent landscaping you can imagine. The Inn is just walking distance from the center of Edgartown, where there are restaurants and shopping, and provided free parking for our rental car which we used to explore the rest of the island. We have had the opportunity to visit Martha's Vineyard several times, but this was and will continue to be our very favorite. We can't wait to return to the The Hob Knob Inn!!

HELD HOSTAGE. Booked the suite for Memorial Day weekend . Chose hotel because it was suppose to have won accolades as “ the most dog friendly hotel in all of Cape Cod” . Quite the contrary When we arrived we never were greeted with dog welcome package, not even a biscuit to be offered It was a cold rainy Memorial Day in which we stayed indoors in our room most of the day . We didn’t even come down for breakfast We left dogs for a few hours in the mid afternoon to get dinner We were constantly harassed by the inn keeper that our dogs may be barking. We would have to drop what we’re doing and drive back from across the island . Not once when we drove back did we hear the dogs bark. Inn keeper claiming she was trying to be “proactive” At one point we were having a 5 course tasting/ wine pairing at Charlotte inn several blocks away, which we had to leave as we were starting dinner to check on our dogs which the inn keeper later stated she realized only barked a second as we closed the room door to leave. Our room was situated on Main Street with active rain storms throughout the day . To hear and occasional bark is one the thing but to claim our dogs were consistently barking all day long is another especially when we’re leaving dinner to rush over to make sure our dogs are Furthermore once it was made clear that they did not want us leaving our dogs there was no hospitality or accommodations made by the inn keeper to see how she could make our experience better Not once did we come down for breakfast and the inn keeper never offered to bring something upstairs for us Overall. I would say that the hotel is in a prime downtown location in edgartown, has well appointed rooms, and late night chocolate chip cookies However this hotel ultimately fails as they label themselves dog friendly. There is a big difference to say pets are tolerated versus welcome If you are traveling with your pet companions I would highly suggest skipping this hotel

“Held Hostage” is truly unfair and unwarranted in this instance. We pride ourselves on being an award-winning hotel pet-friendly hotel. We will acknowledge in an effort to accommodate your early arrival, we did not follow our own protocol with our traditional pet arrival amenity. This was our mistake and we waived the pet-fee for your room. Your dogs barked when they were left alone, which resulted in disturbance complaints. You were contacted by our manager only when the dogs continued to bark in an effort to mitigate the circumstances with other guests. We are sorry we did not meet your expectations, it is always our wish to exceed them. We have many, many happy dog owners as guests and rarely do we have an incident like this.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate his birthday. I have to say that everything about our stay at this property was perfect. The staff was friendly and accommodating and our room was beautiful. I especially loved the little alcove in the room with the comfortable chair - a great spot to curl up with a good book. Everything was exceptionally clean, too. Breakfast was offered every morning and was very good - especially the homemade scones. We were also very pleased that this property offered a fitness center. Most B&B’s don’t offer that, and it was a real plus. The Hob Knob had everything that we were looking for in a stay. It was nice to be able to walk around to all the shops and restaurants, and out of all the places on the island, Edgartown is our favorite spot. We would highly recommend the Hob Knob and would definitely come again.
