We selected the Whalewalk Inn to stay due to their location to the Cape Cod bike trails.
We were so impressed with how well kept & large the Inn was. Very spread out along their beautiful landscaped yard. We loved the privacy & comfortable secluded porch which was connected to our Carriage House room. The breakfast was superb. Switching from one morning serving a “Sweet” breakfast the next day a “Savor” breakfast.
The sweet breakfast consisted of blueberry pancakes, excellent tasting zucchini bread & an amazing selection of fresh fruit; then the next day a “Savor” breakfast consisting of a delicious avocado toast with eggs, amazing chocolate banana mini bunts & a citrus fruit stack.
The owners provide excellent customer service. We were very impressed with the Whalewalk Inn & look forward to returning next summer.

The Whalewalk Inn was everything they said it would be and everything I hoped it would be. Located on a quiet road just off the Orleans rotary, it is classic Cape Cod B&B with a twist... awesome breakfasts!!! I've stayed in many B&B's. Most offer nice accommodations and a breakfast of coffee, juice and a small pastry. But the Whalewalk in offers a 3-course breakfast including a wonderful handmade bread course, fresh fruit, and a different main course daily. The homemade muffins and breads are awesome. Even though I choose to restrict my pastry intake, I couldn't resist the delicious bread course. And they offered to adjust their main course to maintain my keto diet. But our travel companions assured us that you will really enjoy the waffles, blueberry pancakes, omelettes, and french toast, too.

The proprietors are wonderful people. Meeting Steven for breakfast every morning was refreshing. He always has a smile and tips for interesting excursions. Christina is the master of the menu. I can't say enough about what comes out of her kitchen.

The room we stayed in was extra nice... and large: a living/dining room, full kitchen with an oven/stove, microwave and a large refrigerator. Our 2nd floor room had a deck for relaxing outside with morning coffee or an evening cocktail.

The grounds are beautiful. Fully landscaped with large mature trees, shrubbery and flowers. The hydrangeas are amazing.

We like to go to the beach but have to travel by plane so we can't bring beach equipment with us. That's no problem at the Whalewalk Inn. They gave us beach umbrellas, chairs, and towels... Perfect!

In summary, you couldn't ask for a nicer Cape Cod experience. I love this place!

I rarely give a restaurant or hotel a five star review, however, Christina and Steven certainly have earned it with their efforts at the Whalewalk Inn.

We were welcomed warmly at check-in, and Christina gave us a tour of the Inn and its amenities. She comfortably shared pertinent information while maintaining our friendly conversation. We were personally shown to our room, and she made sure that we were aware of tricks and tips to operate the various items in the room. A handwritten welcome note and a mini box of chocolates was a very thoughtful touch. The room was very clean and well appointed while maintaining the character of the house.

Coffee, tea and soda are available 24/7, along with an assortment of snacks. The cozy sitting room is a great place to hang in the evening with your book or laptop.

Breakfast experience was amazing. The courteous and attentive service provided by the family along with the homemade breakfast spread was a treat! Everything was delicious and the attention to detail was evident.

You can feel/see the effort this family makes to ensure that your stay is comfortable. This is what separates it from other places we have stayed in the past. When we were checking out, we brought a minor issue in our room to their attention, not to complain, but to make sure they were aware. We left, feeling confident that the issue would be addressed for future guests.

One drawback in our particular room could be easily addressed. The mattress was extremely firm. A foam topper, or a pillow top mattress pad would easily take care of that.

I would not hesitate to recommend the Whalewalk Inn. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish, and the care that the owners put into making that happen deserves to be recognized. We will return!!

Thank you very much for this detailed and well-written review. we are so happy to hear that you had a great experience at the Inn. Our entire staff, from housekeeping to gardening, works hard, and it always feels great to be appreciated. We are so sad that you didn't mention your mattress preference when you were here, we do have mattress toppers available upon request for guests who prefer a softer mattress. We hope to be able to host you again in the future.

The Whalewalk Inn is awesome and is a beautiful place to stay when visiting the Cape. The owners are excellent, super nice, very informative and always available if you need them or have questions. Too, their gourmet multi-course breakfasts are really awesome and vary each day in terms of the menu. And the indoor and outdoor breakfast locations are beautiful, and Steve is a perfect host. The Whalewalk Inn's location is great and allows you to quickly get to beaches, shopping, lakes, putt-putt courses, an outdoor drive-in, hiking trails, biking trails, lots of great restaurants, etc. in Chatham, Orleans, Wellfleet, Truro, Provincetown and other neat towns.

What makes Whalewalk Inn so special is that Steve and Christina, the owners, work tirelessly to ensure your stay is delightful. Steve's background is in the hospitality space, having managed the customer experience at large resort hotels. Christina left teaching to join Steve in their dream of owning their own B&B in the Cape. They bought the Inn in 2018. Experiencing their passion for servicing their clientele is refreshing. We stayed 5 nights, allowing us to see take in most aspects of the Inn. While you can be assured the rooms/beds/grounds are clean, comfortable, and well managed, here are items we didn't expect that resulted in a rare 5 Star review from us.

1. Staff: Somehow they found a way (friends/family) to attract individuals who care at a level that simply is surprising. Everyone shared their values for providing excellent customer service.

2. Breakfast: Don't miss this - it is the highlight! They provide a meal (not a light snack) that is so well thought out, that it will be your best meal of the day, exceeding whatever restaurant you frequent in the Cape. Plus you enjoy it in their garden which has an ambiance of flowers and greenery.

3. Secure Indoor Bike Storage: Yes, this is very important for the many that come here to ride their beautiful bikeways throughout the Cape. BTW, the entrance to the bikeway is a mere 1/2 mile away you can ride to.

4. Location: you can hop on your bike and go for the day on the 27mile bikeway. The beach is 3mns, which has beautiful sunsets and Christina provides you with beach towels. The Ocean Edge Golf Resort is 10mns away. The ferry to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket is a little over an hour's drive. We did all these activities and were very happy with our access.

Bottom line: if you're time is limited and you want an experience where all the details of your stay are well thought out, your location allows you convenient access to most everything, it is quiet, then we can't recommend enough staying with Steve and Christina at their Whalewalk Inn B&B.

It was time for us to press pause and to make the most of the Cape post season. Choosing the Whalewalk Inn & Spa did not disappoint. Christina and Steve, the innkeepers are amazing. They have an eye to every small detail to make one's visit memorable but maintaining privacy. The location was central to all that we wanted to experience on the Cape from the bike trail, lighthouse and amazing sunset at Rock Harbor but was off the main road--pure solitude. The 3-course beautifully prepared breakfasts sustained us through the day. Our stay was outstanding.

This was one of the most beautiful b&bs that I ever stayed in. First, we were greeted by a beautiful anniversary card and a small box of chocolates. We were celebrating our anniversary a few months late and Christina managed to remember.
The room was immaculate. The grounds spectacular. The service perfect. Every morning they waited for the guests then greeted and served delicious home made breakfasts. Everyday was a surprise. Either a tower of fruit or a bowl of fresh sweet berries along with fresh juices, delicious coffee, homemade breads and muffins followed with the main course of either quiches, egg sandwiches or other delectable dishes. We had our own patio. The grounds were so beautiful. I couldn't wait to walk by the main building that grew honeysuckle along the path. Beaches were no more than 10 to 15 minutes away. They provided umbrellas if needed, chairs and beach towels. I enjoyed doing exercises in the endless pool followed by hot tub therapy. Ptown is about 30 min away for more fun, shopping and beautiful beaches. One of the owners (didn't ask his name) was so pleasant to talk to every morning that I thought he was one of the employees. I had one of the most beautiful Cape Cod experiences ever!
Tips: make sure to check restaraunt hours since most close fairly early. Count on paying 25-30 for beach parking and round abouts can be tricky but you will get used to them. Otherwise, the stay was perfect!
No complaints!

Nestled in a quiet neighborhood on 3 pristine acres sits a charming Inn, the Whalewalk. Christina and Steve are the most gracious hosts providing a wonderful and welcoming experience. Their attentive staff serve a wonderful and delicious 3 course breakfast every morning on a beautiful patio. The location provides access to many beaches and nearby restaurants. My wife and I stayed 4 nights and can't wait to return. A true gem in Eastham. Thank you for for welcoming us to your beautiful inn.

My husband and I stayed at the Whalewalk Inn in late August. The co-owner, Steve, graciously greeted us on arrival and was absolutely lovely. He gave us a thorough tour of the large and beautiful property and we were delighted to see the indoor pool (and the sauna and jacuzzi, which were closed in accordance with COVID regulations.) Given the ongoing pandemic, we had been very concerned about staying anywhere other than our own home, but were immediately reassured once we saw how clean the Inn was. Steve and his wife, Christina, have taken many precautions to make the Inn as sterile as possible. Everyone wore masks and hand sanitizer was available in several locations. We appreciated the little touches they offered, like beach towels and sodas. The grounds are spacious, with plenty of places for a picnic or to sit outside in the sunshine and read a book. As reported in many other reviews, Christina's breakfasts were truly gourmet, and presented beautifully. Steve and Christina were accommodating, helpful and friendly, and made our stay very pleasant.

The only downsides were that the fitted bed sheet and mattress cover kept popping off the corners of the mattress throughout the night. Hopefully, that is quickly and easily fixed. Secondly, our room did not offer cable TV, just Roku. It required you to put in your own Netflix or Prime password to get any decent programming. Since we didn't have our passwords with us, we were quite limited to the programs we could watch at night. Although this wasn't terrible, an inn of this quality should provide cable TV in every room.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Whalewalk Inn very much, and would definitely return.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us, it was a pleasure to host you. We appreciate the feedback and were pleased to hear that you enjoyed the breakfast and property. With regards to the cable, there was an issue in our original 1830s building in Aug. Due to the existing reservations, the technician schedule, and COVID-19 procedures, it was extremely difficult to schedule a service call. At the cable company's suggestion, we offered similar channels on our streaming network. We regret any inconvenience due to the situation. We look forward to seeing you again and hope that you enjoy all the amenities we offer during your next stay.

It's always a delight to stay with Christina and Steve when we travel to Cape Cod each Spring. Their beautiful WhaleWalk Inn & Spa is centrally located on the Eastham/Orleans border, close to both the Orleans Town Center and Coast Guard and Nauset beaches; has a range of accommodations to fit any travelers' needs; and serves outstanding breakfasts each morning either in the breakfast room or covered patio. Thanks to the hosts, the atmosphere is informal yet attentive to guests' every needs. It's a terrific value for what one gets, and we look forward to returning next year.
