My husband and I just spent three nights at this lovely inn to celebrate our fiftieth anniversary. We had booked a Paris trip with Viking but then Covid happened and voila! We decided to go to one of our favorite inns...Inn at the Oaks. We have had many stays at this warm and friendly inn over the past ten years. We felt that it would be a safe trip as we could drive from Rockport and be there in a couple of hours. Having met the new owners the previous year, we were comfortable that the inn would be covid safe and it was. The breakfast buffet is now table service, and the tables are spaced over six feet apart. Everyone wears masks when in public areas and everything is spotless. My husband and I felt safe and cared for the entire stay. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome from arrival to checkout. We have stayed in three different rooms there all lovely and clean. Our favorite is the sail loft in the carriage house which was just totally renovated. There is a king size bed, two single beds and I believe a pullout couch. The room was spacious and comfortable with a deck for outdoor seating. One of the reasons we choose this room is that it also had a table and chairs along with a mini fridge. Perfect for enjoying takeout inside or on the deck. We felt that would be a good option if it was too cold to do outdoor dining. Another reason for choosing this inn is how close it is to the National Seashore, the Cape Cod Bike Trail and many delicious restaurants from Brewster to Provincetown. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked the same room for the first weekend in June. Thank you Melody and Paul for helping to make our Anniversary so special. Looking forward to seeing you again in June.

We stayed in the Lighthouse with our son and our dog. The main inn and the carriage house are both beautiful and well kept. The hosts were very thoughtful in their preparation for our arrival and also for other guests. Bedding, decorations in the room and even a blanket for our dog were all cute. We had a great time chatting with the hosts during breakfast and....loved the individually wrapped cookies in the evening. The inn is conveniently located across the street from the National Shoreline Park entrance with several great restaurants within a 3 mile radius. Our room was very clean, quiet and very well kept. We would love to return and stay at the inn again. Thank you Melody and Paul for a very pleasant stay.

My wife and I stayed at the Inn during the middle week of June.
We booked the Garden Room, which is the only guest room on the first floor.
It has a private entrance and covered porch with rocking chairs that we loved!
The queen bed was very comfortable and the en suite bathroom, though small, was very clean and well stocked with the essentials.
We enjoyed the breakfast selections (especially the fresh fruit cups) and also the daily, fresh-made cookies available every afternoon.
The Inn is on Route 6, which can be busy at times, but the location is close to the Salt Pond Visitors Center, the Cape Cod Rail Trail, the National Seashore & Bay Beaches and local restaurants.
Last but not least, we want to thank the staff for their hard work and the owners, Paul and Melody, for being such great hosts and making our stay so enjoyable.
We will certainly stay there again!

I highly recommend the Inn at the Oaks! This was my first time traveling to the Cape and I really lucked out. I checked in on a Monday and checked out on a Friday but could have easily stayed longer. The old house has such an amazing charm. I stayed in the Overlook room which did not have a bathroom attached to the room but I am not complaining! The bathroom was serviced daily and I never bumped into anyone while headed to or from the bathroom.

The Inn has all the amenities of a hotel but with the perfect personalized touch. The room and bathroom are cleaned daily and the staff is incredibly friendly.

The breakfast served in the morning hit the spot. Healthy and a good start to the day. The inn is located close to many food spots. I was able to try Arnold's, Basco's, Fairway, Brick House, and Hole in One Donuts. (I highly recommend Arnold's and Basco's if you aren't counting calories).

The highlight was getting to speak with Melody and Paul. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area in and around Eastham. The location of the Inn is perfectly situated between the bay and the ocean and both are just a short drive away.

If you have the chance, I highly recommend staying at the Inn at the Oaks.

As I write this review my husband is on the phone booking another stay at this lovely Inn in August! We just spent three nights in our most favorite Inn. We have stayed here many times over the past ten years and always feel as though we are so very welcome and cared for. Over the years we have stayed in three different rooms and they have all been very clean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners and Inn Keepers, Melody and Paul go out of their way to make you feel at home in their beautiful home. They provide a healthy and delicious breakfast every morning with table service either outdoors or inside. Mask wearing is no longer required in public spaces. They also provide delicious cookies every afternoon, and there is a fire pit in the pretty backyard where you can make s’mores and mingle with other guests. Our favorite room is the Sail Loft in the Carriage House. It is quite spacious and equipped with a small fridge, table and chairs, couch, coffee table, king size bed, two twin beds, bathroom and a large screen TV. To top it off there is private balcony overlooking the lush grounds. The Carriage House is dog friendly, however we prefer to leave our dog with our daughter. This Inn is located across the street from the National Seashore and is close to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. It is ideal for biking, hiking and is close to many beautiful beaches. If you don’t want to bring your bike there is a bike rental within a five minute walk from the Inn. From there you can access the Rail Trail which is a short bike ride away. There are also many wonderful restaurants nearby. Two of our favorites are The Beacon Room and La Bella Vita. If the weather is iffy there is always the option to drive to Provincetown which is only about thirty minutes away. There you can shop, eat in one of the great restaurants and visit the museum. I highly recommend this Inn if you are staying on the Cape and I am looking forward to returning there in August!

We stayed for 2 nights in the Sail Loft Suite with a dog (~30lbs). Location is excellent, within driving distance of everything that is 'Cape Cod' and cosmopolitan enough to be able to get whatever kind of restaurant food you could want. Hosts are endearing, informative, and tremendously kind. Breakfast was varied and delicious, although understandably limited due to covid restrictions in place at the time. With that in mind, the lodgings were also very covid friendly, with safe distances easily achieved. The suite was tastefully decorated and had an abundance of room for lounging and activities. Be aware that there is only 1 bathroom and the shower head is a little low on the wall - if you're over 6ft tall you may find it below your jaw. Furnishings are luxurious and bedding is soft. TV is available, but you're on the cape so you're better off outside. Kid friendly, dog friendly, and very much people friendly. Highly recommend

My husband, teenage daughter and dog Max stayed in the Beachcomer Suite at the Inn at the Oaks. Everything was quite perfect. Melody greeted us and showed us the ropes. You really lack for nothing. Beach chairs, towels, cookies, tea and water are all readily available. There is a nice library where you can grab a book. Everything about the inn is very high-quality. We appreciated the beautiful wood floors and furniture in our room. Also, the bathroom is perfect after sandy days at the beach. The housekeeping is impeccable. Many others have mentioned the perfect location across from the national seashore visitor center as well as the yummy breakfasts. In our short visit, we were able to visit Provincetown and Chatham which are equidistant from the inn. Thank you Melody and Paul for your upkeep of this beautiful inn and for all of your suggestions during our stay.

We recently got back from a trip to the Cape for our baby-moon and needed a place that was also dog friendly. I am so glad that we ended up staying at Inn at the Oaks. Melody and Paul make you feel so welcome from the first time you speak to them, and we left feeling like family. We stayed in the Beachcomer Suite which was well appointed and spacious. Breakfast is included here - and is so great. Paul makes delicious scones!

Melody and Paul bought the Inn a few years ago and have spent countless time and money making upgrades - it really shows. The property is perfectly manicured, and you are never left wanting anything during your stay.

The location is near coast guard beach and only about 10 minutes from Wellfleet and 30 minutes from Provincetown.
I could not recommend staying here more.

We are looking for our next trip soon!

WOW. The Covid restrictions really put a damper on this stay. We felt the price was high for what we got. While the breakfast was HEALTHY, there were no hot items offered. We had to be served everything like in a restaurant. We were required to wear a mask indoors at all times. It wasn't a warm and welcoming environment.
For all of the obsession with Covid and the protocols, there was broken glass in our room by the nightstand. This was a concern that we brought to the host, and was promptly vacuumed. While a previous guest may have broken a glass, the housekeeping person should have gotten this the first time around. So really, how clean was it while we were masked up the entire time?
Finally, the property is across the road from the fire department. NOISY.

Hi Donna - Regarding the Covid restrictions in place, we have to follow the mandates set by our local Board of Health and that does mean that masks are required in the common areas of the Inn. I'm truly sorry that you felt that we did not offer a warm and welcoming environment because we go out of our way to make sure that guests enjoy their stay. We have always offered an extended continental breakfast and we do offer hot oatmeal along with our extensive healthy choices. We were very sorry that you found a piece of broken glass under the nightstand/bed and you are right - housekeeping should have found this when the room was turned, but they are human and the occasional error does happen. Our cleaning protocols are meticulous so I don't appreciate your insinuation that they are not. Lastly, our property is not across the street from the fire department. The fire department is over a half-mile away on Rt 6. We have no control if an engine needs to respond to an emergency. I'm glad you at least enjoyed the cookies, and I hope that you were able to enjoy the beautiful beaches, hiking trails and wonderful restaurants that surround the Inn during your stay.

My boyfriend and I spent the long holiday weekend here and really enjoyed the size, location, history, and charm of this inn. We stayed in the Willow Room all the way on the third floor which also features an attached bathroom. The room was clean, quiet, and cool. The grounds are beautiful with flowers in bloom everywhere, a fire pit at night, and plenty of shade on the porch if you'd like to enjoy breakfast there. Speaking of breakfast, I appreciated the variety of items each morning and especially the warm cranberry orange scones. The inn itself is in a great location on the Cape (20 min to Provincetown and just down the street from the entrance to the National Seashore/Park!) and close to a number of great restaurants. We never felt like we had to go far to enjoy all the Cape has to offer and appreciated Melody and Paul's recommendations. If you're looking for a homier place to relax and rest, Inn at the Oaks is a lovely choice!
