Jo-Anne and Richard look forward to welcoming returning and new guests to The Parsonage, an 18th century parsonage, now a mixture of summer rentals and shoulder season guest rooms. Located in the heart of East Orleans, walking distance to shops and restaurants, we are just one and a half miles from Nauset Beach. The rentals and guest rooms and bathrooms offer a relaxing, cozy and contemporary feel.

We enjoyed warm hospitality from innkeepers Jo-Anne and Richard. The accommodations are bright and attractive. Delicious breakfast baskets were brought to our room each morning. The location is convenient to Nauset Beach as well as downtown Orleans and is about 30 minutes to Provincetown. We’ll definitely be back.

This was our first time on Cape Cod, and my husband & I definitely picked the right place to stay. We stayed 3 nights in the Mayberley room, which was spacious, beautifully decorated and conveniently located on the first floor. The location was very convenient for our day trips to the outer cape. Jo-Anne and Richard were lovely hosts, welcoming us as if we were old friends. The fruit, cookies and coffee were just what we needed to start the day, as well as a great late afternoon snack before going out for dinner. We highly recommend The Parsonage and hope to be back again! Thank you for a wonderful stay Jo-Anne & Richard!

The Parsonage is a wonderful rental property. It is very clean and well-equipped, with plenty of room inside and out for hanging out together, sitting and reading, or cooking and dining. Each room is essentially a suite with a bathroom and sitting area. It is also very well located, a ten or 15 minute bike ride to several beaches and several ponds, and an easy walk or drive to many restaurants. We highly recommend it.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate you taking the time. We are very lucky with our location, being so close to beaches, shops and restaurants. The property is also a historic gem being over 250 years old, but as you mention remarkably spacious. Thanks again and hope to see you next year.

This is the second year that our family of 16 rented the Parsonage. It is ideal for our group: very clean, well-supplied, very comfortable, and well-located. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, and all the privacy you need. And there are great gathering places, inside and out. The owners are quite hospitable -- they largely leave us alone but are readily available for any needed repairs or other services.

We stayed here for three nights as part of a week long trip taking in New Haven, Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod and New York. It was easily my favourite place to stay. The Inn is beautifully kept and has a lovely nostalgic feel about it.
We stayed in Witterings, a lovely light room on the first floor (second floor if you speak American) which benefits from the morning sun. A king sized bed, cosy seating area, and tea and coffee making facilities ensured we had a comfortable stay.
Breakfast was brought to the room in a basket which was a great way to start the day. On our last day we chose to eat breakfast out on the patio in the sun. Even better!
Our hosts Richard and Jo-Anne were friendly without being intrusive. Richard greeted us on arrival and helped us to our room, giving us a helpful welcome letter which was supplemented with an in-room folder, with lots of helpful suggestions on things to see and do.
I would definitely recommend staying here. You will love it.

We loved having you stay with us, and if you're over on this side of the pond again, think of us. Jo and Rich

We stayed in the Witterings room. Very comfortable bed and sitting area. It overlooks the circular driveway and garden. Although the Inn is on a fairly busy street there was no traffic noise at night. Breakfasts were delivered in a basket and could be eaten in our room, in the lounge on the main floor or on the patio (weather permitting). They were delicious! Jo-Anne and Richard were very welcoming hosts. A side benefit is that the Inn is right across the street from a store (Nauset Farms) selling deli goods, wine, general groceries, and the best potato chips I've ever tasted!

Great location, friendly welcome from the owners, who gave us some good tips for visiting Cape Cod. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed (being British they even supplied tea bags 😍). We were able to use the BBQ and eat outside one evening, there are some good places to eat out within walking distance and a good shop across the road or supermarket 5 minutes away.

I loved my room, felt like I was in my home but with someone delivering a delicious breakfast to my door each day. I stayed for three nights and was sad to leave. Lovely location. Hope to return one day.

The Parsonage was a wonderful oasis of peace and relaxation that we experienced during our holiday in Boston, Massachusetts and Cape Cod. We stayed for three nights in the ‘Haven’ room, and, as with the rest of the property it was immaculately decorated and furnished. We had fantastic breakfasts on the patio each day freshly sourced and prepared by Richard and Jo-Anne. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating and a mine of useful information of places where to go and experience Cape Cod. In fact because of them and on their recommendation we had a fantastic day out on a Whale watching trip from Provincetown where we saw no less than 17 of these beasts close up. The Parsonage is centrally located on Cape Cod and in a great position to explore. Nearby Orleans has all the shops and stores you could need while maintaining a ‘small friendly town’ feel, we even went to watch the local baseball and we’re warmly welcomed. In conclusion our only disappointment was that we did not stay there longer, we hope to be able to visit again and can highly recommend the Parsonage to anyone.

Having been to Cape Cod many times, my husband and I decided to stay someplace new to celebrate our 41 Wedding Anniversary. We picked The Parsonage Inn and it was the perfect choice. JoAnn & Richard Hoad, the owners, have given Hospitality & Charm new meanings. The breakfast, which is included, was so delicious, healthy and beautiful that you were glad to get out of bed. The morning of our Anniversary, there was a bottle of Prosecco with a beautiful note in our breakfast basket. We were extremely touched. The Inn is both historical and charming. The rooms are well appointed and the bathrooms very new. It is also Spotless. We will be returning to The Parsonage Inn on our next trip to the Cape and You should Too.

Thanks for your enquiry, smoking is not permitted on the patio, inside public areas of the Inn or in the guest rooms. There are some areas in the garden you can smoke.
Yes you're right, we're just a mile and half from Nauset Beach, so a couple of minutes drive. We're so lucky as Rock Harbor on the bay is also only 5 minutes away.
There are more places to choose from in the East Orleans area.
