#2 of 8 B&Bs / Inns in Dennis Port
Three lovely fireplaced rooms to choose from, the Eastham and Chatham rooms located on the first floor, the Wellfleet on the second. All rooms have queen beds, and armoires, Kuerig Coffee makers, mini refrigerators. All rooms have their own baths and private entrances as well as Cable TV and wifi access. A lovely three course breakfast is served each morning. The Inn provides a convenient location for day trips to the islands or Provincetown or National Sea Shore with Nantucket sound just steps away. Wonderful dining in the area during the summer season and just a short drive in the off season. We allow guests to bring small well behaved dogs, under twenty five pounds

At 5:30 pm in the cold and dark, we found our way to the inn's parking lot without even calling first and Jean graciously offered us a room. I only saw the two ground level guestrooms; both have a double bed, TV, refrigerator, fireplace, wardrobe with bathrobes, love seat, private full bathroom, independent temperature controls, and sliding doors to a patio with outdoor furniture. Jean and Doug adore dogs and have special treats for visiting canines. Considering we gave her no advance warning, the following morning she served fresh coffee, orange juice, fruit plates, just-baked bread, and quiche. She made suggestions for things to do the next day and easily responded to our request for dining recommendations. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I have looked at this B&B for awhile and finally the opportunity to stay presented itself on a recent trip to the Cape. Before I made the reservations for two rooms I reach out to Jeanne and explained that we would be arriving rather late in the evening as I was flying in from out of town and my nephew and his wife would pick me up at the airport. I enjoy B&B's but did not want to be disruptive by our late arrival (which would have been around 11pm). Jeanne was so gracious and made us feel welcomed before we arrived. She would make arrangements for our late arrival. There were multiple flight cancellations and delays effecting my arrival. I called from the airport and told Jeanne that the kids would be arriving early and I was looking at a very late arrival (turned out to be 2am). She was wonderful to my family when they arrived and my room was ready for me when I rolled in so very late. Breakfast was amazing. Her kindness and hospitality go above and beyond. I could go on and on but let me say do not hesitate to ever stay at this Inn. You will be doing yourself a huge favor. In the future I will work in a stay with Jeanne on any trips to the Cape.

Please be advised your most gracious review of my little B & B went unread until this very moment...weeks after your stay. This is not to say your stay wasn't one of the high lights of my summer. I so enjoyed meeting you. Although your stay was brief you made a magnificent impression on myself as well as our other guests. I thank you and hope we meet again

And when I say full of hospitality, I mean it! Jeanne and Doug could not have been better hosts. On Friday night, Jeanne made sure everything was ready for our arrival. On Saturday, we had this amazing quiche for breakfast. On Sunday, not only did Jeanne bake the best chocolate croissant I have ever had, but she also drove me and my wife back into Hyannis so we could catch our sightseeing train. This is the essence of taking care of your guests. We felt so welcome and taken care of. We would love to come back in the future. Oh, and the room was really well decorated, too.

We generally prefer hotels but since we were traveling with our 2 little dogs and there’s no Residence Inn in Cape Cod, we decided to give it a try based on good reviews. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. Jeanne is the most warmed-hearted and gracious hostess, you feel right at home with her while still have all your privacy and freedom. The room we had upstairs (Wellfleet) has its own bath, private entry and a beautiful, spacious and super clean deck with secured baby gate for the dogs. All the rooms in this cozy Inn have private baths and separate entries and parking spaces which is a huge bonus. The Inn is centrally located, near restaurants, shops, beach and park. There are some traffic noise as a trade off (located on one of the major streets) but none too loud to keep you awake. The breakfast was impressive-with fresh fruits and different hot main course each day. Jeanne is an excellent cook. (Not all B&B hosts are good cooks). This one not only cooks well but also genuinely cares about the wellness of her guests. In fact, she treats her guests lovingly like they are family members yet with great respect. All in all a fantastic place to stay, especially if you’re traveling with family or pets. Since it’s a smaller Inn with 3 guest rooms, you only ecounter limited numbers of guest even if it’s full house, which is a plus.
