We just stayed at the North Shore hotel for our first trip to Boston. The hotel is conveniently located near route 1, which winds up being a straight route right into Boston. It took us about 1/2 hour to get to Boston Harbor when we avoided rush hour. The hotel is currently being renovated, so expect some noise. A man... More

My family & i rented 2 rooms for 3 nights in early September. We had no idea that a major renovation was underway and if we had known, we would not have booked. Both rooms were dark/gloomy as the windows were shrouded in opaque plastic sheeting. One room had non functioning a/c and was not good. We were all set... More

When we first pulled up, we wondered if the motel was open due to the construction that is going on. Once we got inside, however, it was clean and neat. The front desk staff quickly gave us the information we needed, and were not rude, but it was obvious they were interested in going back to whatever conversation they were... More

The hotel is under renovation since it's going to be a Best Western but in the meantime, it's a mess! The rooms were very dated with stained carpet and very stinky rooms. The beds were very comfortable and you had everything that you need for a hotel stay BUT because it was so outdated, it didn't feel clean. If you're... More

Well in a road trip 28 hotels over 9000 miles in the greatest country on earth, there has to be a best hotel and there has to be a worst. This was the worst. Unlike countless other visitors in August I wasn't at all put off by the building work, although it would have been nice to have had some... More

Ok here goes. Arrived at hotel which looked like a building site and it was, we thought at first we had the wrong place. Plasterers outside, Insulation being pumped into walls which gave us instant snow outside the building. Workmen and women all over the place. Walked up to the reception desk and the young lady stood there looked at... More

I apologize that your stay made you feel compelled write such a review. We are under renovations, and we aren't trying to hide from that while they are going on. We are all very excited to become a Best Western Plus and have the renovations in the rearview mirror, but that is still a few months away. I am sorry... More

Chose this hotel based on TA reviews, which were mostly very positive. Also the Danvers location being a good mid way point on our drive from Bar Harbor to Provincetown. This also being the Saturday before Labor Day, no last minute bookings available in any towns cute enough for the Labor Day weekend crowd. We knew the hotel is under... More

I appreciate your feedback and I'm sorry we didn't do enough to garner a 5-dot rating from you. My apologies for the AC noise and the lack of a view, those will be remedied with the renovation. And I'm sorry you didn't like our breakfast offerings as well. Hopefully you come back to see us after the renovation when we'll... More

We stayed at the Northshore on the 24th of August and it was an exceptional hotel. What we were never told was that there was construction being done on the exterior of the building. They did not waist any time making noise at 7:30am not a nice way to wake up. When we approached them in the lobby we asked... More

Since you can't get a hotel room in Salem MA without paying $50 to $100 more than anywhere else, we opted for this hotel in Danvers. This is an older property that is being brought up to Best Western standards for 2017. Our room was spacious. The pool looked inviting. They had a nice workout room. Breakfast was great and... More

What can I say about a single night at the North Shore Motel? For one overnight, all I ask is a clean room, a comfortable bed, a pleasant front desk, a hot shower, and a working TV. It's all I asked for and its all I got. I didnt expect mints on my pillow, a fawning maitre d', a four... More

Thanks for taking time out of your schedule to post a review about your stay with us. I am glad we met your expectations, and I will check on that door you mentioned. But I have to say I'm not so sure anyone's time is better spent watching this year's candidates say anything at all. Hahaha. Hope we see you... More
