We stayed a few nights, end of season, as we were on the island with more family and friends. Easy run establishment, plenty of types of rooms for all people. We had twin, super comfortable beds with our own bathroom. Other rooms have use of guest bathrooms. Beautiful views, seasonal flowers, themed rooms. I'm guessing at peak season, it might get a bit busy. Great place to visit, off the beaten path, pack away the electronics. Pick up a book (plenty in the rooms to choose from), take day and sunset strolls and relax into simpler times.

The cuttyhunk fishing club is a beautiful old historic lodge that has hosted Teddy Roosevelt. It is on top of the bluff overlooking the harbor. They serve breakfast. The menu is extensive. The view is amazing

Three couples, close friends, tried to book a weekend at the Cuttyhunk Fishing Club (9/23-25). The manager, Bonnie V., offered instead a three bedroom house for the weekend. After checking in and putting the food away, we discovered that the bed cloths in two of the bedrooms were full of mouse droppings, urine and other filth. It took us two hours to clean, launder and remake the beds and to clean the rest of the house which was supposed to have been done prior to our arrival. At dinner that night we found mice running around the house and as it got dark saw the wood lice start to come out of the walls. They make a nice combination as wood lice eat mouse feces. None of us slept that night and the next day asked for a refund for the second night...Bonnie refused to refund the cost of one night ($600.00) and we took the ferry back to the mainland vowing never to go to Cuttyhunk again.

Breathtaking views and a delicious hot breakfast. On the remote island of Cuttyhunk this is a place not to miss. The wait can be long but with available coffee and gorgeous grounds, who really cares. Adirondack chairs over look the ocean.

We had a very nice breakfast. -we were surprised, no reservation needed. Friendly staff served us on the porch with a million dollar view. Nice breakfast selection at affordable prices. Fresh fruit was an unexpected treat on this small island with limited touristy attractions... Thats what we like about Cuttyhunk. We watched our boat at a mooring in the outer harbor mooring field($40/night). Cuttyhunk is a nice stop to take a walk, walk the dog(don't forget the doggie bags). Enjoy a quiet unpretentious summer community(with a few year rounders). BE CAUTIOUS of ticks and use lint roller to collect the critters off your body if you venture off the paths and roads. There is an ongoing effort to control the tick populati. Without further banter I highly recommend this establishment for a relaxing and rewarding Summer breakfast.
