We stayed at this incredible BnB for 2 nights. I can’t say enough about this place. Probably the coziest and comfortable BnB we have d we stayed at. We were warmly greeted and toured around this lively farmhouse. The setting is lovely with nearby hiking trails and a lovely place to watch the sunrise. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Set in the countryside of Hampshire County you do have to travel a little bit to go out to dinner. Our first night we traveled about 15!minutes for dinner while the second night we went to the local Co-op and brought dinner back. We hiked, read, played games, and relaxed. We will for sure come back.
This is a real farm, in a hilly, wooded area. Lovely scenery, comfortable room, charming hostess, and a really, really good, hearty breakfast. Wi-fi available, but you might decide you'd rather enjoy the quiet and watch the stars at night.
Upland Meadows B&B is a nice B&B out in the country. Traffic noise will not bother you and a porch with rockers offer a private setting on the back side of the house. We stayed in one of two rooms accessed from the porch. A third room is under construction now. The west room is an end room now with windows on three sides. We were able to hear conversation and activity through the wall of the adjacent room occupied by other guest. There is another room inside the house area that might be more private. Breakfast is served in a very comfortable section of the house and was quiet good and filling. Each morning, the meal consisted of several different homemade items. Good eating for other meals is nearby and convenient.
...driving up to this B&B and getting "welcomed" by two barking dogs running circles around your car, followed by a lady with mud on her hands because she was digging a hole in the backyard, followed by being given a room that can't be locked has not been what our "typical" B&B trip has been like. But then this isn't your typical B&B. This place grew on us... fast! The grounds (200+ acres?!) are beautiful, quiet except for an occasional car, and serene. We originally had planned to go to Arunah Hill to see the meteor showers, but after an a-OK from Judi to just lay our blanket and beach chairs on her property, that's what we did that night. If you can handle the owls hooting, the sheep bleating and an occasional shuffle in the brushes, the skies here as as dark as they would have been anywhere else in this neighborhood. Breakfast was a standard fare of eggs, toast and sausages with a healthy dose of great conversation. Judi suggested places to go (an astronomy meet and a homestead down the road) that we did check out. We did notice a lack of dining options around the B&B... Driving a little longer than expected... that was something we had not planned for.…
My husband, our dog and I have stayed at Judy's bed and breakfast in Western MA several times. The scenery is breathy taking. The breakfasts are outstanding. Just always makes you feel at home. Thirty minutes between Northampton and Pittsfield, MA. Very peaceful location to regroup in this hectic world.
