Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the Chatham Seafarer inn mid week from Wed thru Saturday 6/15-18/22 and it was exactly what I was looking for; a clean, friendly and central Cape Location!
The rooms were very clean, large, and bright and sunny, (We got a week of sun :-) ) and using this hotel as our base, enjoyed the quaint town of Chatham, taking in all the Main Street shops, the Chatham Lighthouse, The Fish Pier.
We had a Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 plan from This hotel, and enjoyed the National Seashore beaches, Nauset Lighthouse and then ventured on Day 3 to enjoy Provincetown and all the quaint and unique shops and of course the Pilgrim Tower which even had a museum with free admission, so it seemed, as we walked in to the many rooms of art, exhibits and then meandered to Commercial street for the day, dining and returning back to our ‘home’ away from home at the end of the day.
The end of day accommodations were great and recommendations were made for Breakfasts, as the Hotel does not have a food service, but dining at the Chatham Airport (as recommended) was excellent and Fun!! (Hanger B) it is called.
Robert was very accommodating as the Hotel Manager and the services folks were friendly, kind and conversant.
We enjoyed the singing of Alicia the wonderful service manager, a Jamaican woman with a voice so beautiful, it was a pleasure to hear her singing as we made our morning way, she delighted us with her voice.
I have been on Cape over the years, but had been away for several and this year, wanted to take in the beauty of All of Cape Cod and we were NOT disappointed to call the Chatham Seafarer Inn our “home’’ at the end of the day!!
I would highly recommend the Chatham Seafarer Inn to anyone looking for an affordable, clean, and wonderful location!!

Great location. Immaculate rooms. You could smell how clean and sanitized the room was when we walked in. Love that they had a coffee pot in the room and a mini fridge. Easy check in and out. Courteous staff. Convenient parking. The grounds were lovely and the pool had lots of seating.

Very clean rooms, brand new mattresses. Pleasant staff who went above and beyond to recommend a restaurant. Dead batteries in remote were promptly replaced when housekeeping was notified. The only downside was we could hear some road noise in the morning, and a baby crying elsewhere in the building. If you’re a light sleeper, play some white noise to mask any sounds.

It was immaculate but the tile floor was slippery and my cane kept slipping. I was using a cane for a knne injury. They need to fo a better job rinsing iff the soap. They advertized free toiletries and the 2 bars of soao were tiny, 1 inch by 2 inch. 1 oz tube shampoo, conditioner & body lotion which were fine but we showered before and after using the pool & got used up quicky. The tiny bar if soap was difficult to use; shower gel would have been better. They said there were pool towels but there was no distribution area at the pool. Our room was not near the managers office & we thought the pool towels should have been in the room or at the pool. We had to re-use our shower towels; not my 1st choice. Two persons could not turn around in the bathroom but it was adequate. The water pressure was poor. Housekeeping did not replace the towel mat outside the shower and did not replace the tissues. Beds were great abd so eere the sheets. The a/c needs to be stronger. Reasonably pleasant stay but not worth $600-700 we paid.

I had booked a 3 night reservation under a room block for a friends wedding this summer. Due to COVID-19, my friends rescheduled their wedding for August 2021. I called to move my reservation to next summer but was told there are no available rooms for this new time period. Since I could not move the reservation I asked to cancel my current reservation. The hotel continued to charge me the $35 cancelation fee for something that was completely out of my control. I am disappointed in their lack of Customer Service especially during this difficult time. I will not be staying at the Seafarer in the future. With such uncertain times I would stay away from a hotel that is so inflexible.

Hello 174courtneyr, I'm so sorry to hear that you had a disappointing experience. As a family owned small business, please understand that we are doing everything we can to meet every expectation possible during an unprecedented time. From the spring on we were glad to return room deposits from travelers unable to make the trip to Cape Cod this summer as we were able to return yours. As stated on our website, the small cancelation fee is non-refundable in order to cover our costs. We invite you to visit us again the next time you are in Cape Cod so that we can leave you with a happier memory that we feel is representative of who we strive to be. The room smelled of mold and it never dissipated. The TV has literally only basic cable (bummer on the Cape on a rainy night when all the restaurants close early or are closed). The rooms are so close that you can hear a conversation in the next room. The manager is the only unsmiling, dour hospitality person I have ever met. Avoid this place even if you are attracted by the price - definitely not worth any money.

Hello Mobile798776, Please know that your feedback and review is extremely concerning and disappointing to us. We've reviewed it with our manager and staff and we'd like to discuss it further with you. Is it possible that you have us confused with a different property in Chatham? Since new ownership, the cleanliness of our rooms is one has been a point of pride for both our owners and our staff and as you can see here, it's been complimented many times in prior reviews. In particular, we've focused on health and cleanliness during the time of COVID-19 and guests have noticed. We invite you to visit us the next time you are on Cape Cod so that we can leave you with a happier memory that we feel is representative of who we are. We loved staying at the Seafarer! We stayed 4 nights for a wedding at Chatham Bars Inn which was minutes from the motel. The room was immaculate, the beds comfortable & sheets soft and high quality. Fresh fluffy towels were brought in every day and the toiletries were plentiful and very nice. Our friends & family reserved many of the rooms for a wedding at Chatham Bars Inn. We all enjoyed the lovely, clean and warm pool. The entire hotel and grounds were very well cared for. Marian’s pies is across the street (fabulous pies and cinnamon rolls) close to charming downtown Chatham, beaches, the seals at the Fish Pier and plenty of good restaurants. We would definitely recommend this reasonably priced and centrally located motel! Thank you to John and Cindy for being two of the most helpful and gracious hosts! We stayed in many hotels this summer and no one made us feel more welcome. I wish I could give the Seafarer more than 5 stars. They earned it! Thank you for a lovely stay!

The room was rather large, very clean, and the staff were super friendly. I mentioned that I’m a coffee drinker and the housekeeper left me extra coffee. The front desk staff was very helpful when deciding what to do and even though I had to switch rooms, they made very easy. Would absolutely stay here again!

We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Chatham Seafarer Inn. The rooms are updated with wood floors and fresh paint, very clean. We stayed in the “Boxwood” room, which has two queen beds, a small fridge, microwave, and cooktop. The room was large, with sliders to a small table and 2 chairs, common grass area, and very short distance to the fenced pool area. There are comfortable loungers near the pool. The grounds are very pretty. The location is convenient to everything on the cape. We will definitely stay again.

We booked ten rooms at the Seafarer for family and friends visiting from the UK for our son’s wedding at Chatham Bars Inn. The Seafarer staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating from initial booking all the way through the wedding weekend. The rooms were all very clean and well appointed with comfy beds and a modern feel. The pool and surrounding area were perfect for our party to gather and make many special memories.
