Chatham is one of the best places to stay in Cape Cod. This hotel is a 10min walk to Chatham town and Oyster Pond beach without costing an arm and a leg! Staff is so friendly and engaging in answering all questions (even touristy-ones). Spacious room (we had 2 queens) compared to traditional hotels. Best of all is the microwave and fridge that again are not provided in a traditional hotel but are much appreciated for young kids! We could spend 1/2 day at any beach on Cape Cod and come back to a magically cleaned room.

We stayed here for three nights and were over the moon with our choice of accommodation. It is very recently refurbished and it all still smells new and very clean. The grounds are very well kept and the pool and fire pit area is stunning. There is a wonderful smell of pine in the air. The staff are always on hand and very helpful and friendly. The location is a very short walk to the centre of Main Street, which is very quaint and clean. We have been to Cape Cod several times and this was our best stay and location, we would 100% stay here again and highly recommend.

Our stay at The Greyfinch Chatam Inn was wonderful! The staff greeted us warmly and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean, with a lovely view of the gardens.

The highlight was the beautiful pool and patio, offering something for everyone in the family. The inn's location was perfect for exploring Chatam, with shops, ocean walks, and dining nearby.

The staff was exceptional, providing helpful recommendations and even surprising our kids with a special treat. Overall, our time at The Greyfinch Chatam Inn was memorable and relaxing. We highly recommend it for families seeking a cozy and welcoming getaway. We can't wait to return!

Everything about Greyfinch Chatham Inn was amazing. We wanted to stay in Chatham and had never heard of it but the pictures looked great and they had bathrobes ! Only positive surprises about how beautiful the finishes in the room are...large walk in quartz tiled bathroom with glass doors, refrigerator draw, very large, new flat screen tv, amazingly soft pillows and bedding, mini split AC, hardwood floors. Nothing is better than a newly renovated, stylish room. Check in and out very easy, pool great, Keurig coffee in rooms. We can't wait to come back !!

Make no mistake, this is a motel on Route 6A, not an "inn" in any sense.

While they did throw a lot of money at their renovation and the rooms are updated, it's a terrible value. For a single weekday night's stay, when they were done adding fees on top of fees, my room cost $422. To repeat, this is just a motel on 6A. As a guest, you can't help but feeling fleeced once you've checked out.

If they charged a reasonable room rate, this would be a reasonable motel. (And yes, I know the fees are imposed by others, but that's not an excuse.)

To the motel: don't bother responding to this message. I've read your other responses and they're ineffective, and bordering on insulting.

This is a motel not a hotel.
The Greyfinch is about one mile outside Chatham centre. Has an ok pool but no other services on site.
There is no breakfast inclusive in booking..beware you just get 15% off for sister hotel Goose Tavern in town. We ate one night at this place and food was so bad we sent 3 meals back.

Greyfinch is a basic ok motel. Very expensive for a basic room outside of town and not near beach. They also refused to reimburse for one night we has to leave early

Stayed at the Greyfinch the weekend before labor day with my family. Was impressed by the look/redesign of the hotel, however, the property was not throughly cleaned and being poorly managed.

Dirty Sheets Upon Check-In
The first night, we checked in and went straight to dinner. Returned to the hotel and crawled into bed to find dirty sheets that were stained and contained crumbs. Would never have noticed it, but felt the debris on my leg when I got into bed. There is no one to service the hotel after dinner hours so I had to remove the sheets, drive to a sister hotel to get new sheets and remake the bed in the middle of the night. It was an incredible inconvenience on top of a disgusting situation. We did receive a partial credit for this issue the following day.

Cloudy Pool, Possibly Untreated
Took my family to the pool on the first night and the water looked a bit cloudy. We went again the 2nd night and it was even more cloudy. I spoke to the front desk staff immediately, expressed my concerns, and asked if the pool was chlorine or saltwater—was told that it was only "water." I spoke to another mom who also confirmed that the pool looked cloudy to her. I couldn't understand why the staff were not concerned, so I emailed hotel management about my concerns, but they never replied back.

There were many things to like about this place, but sadly they were all washed away by the front office. With a hurricane bearing down on the Cape, we tried to cut our week long trip one day short. The front office said they would ask the GM and have them contact us. Even though we reached out twice, we were never contacted by the GM. The front office informed us that they could not do anything about our reservation. Hopefully all of the plants and items they moved to safety due to the incoming storm are ok. As for us, we will not be returning and I hope I can convince just one person not to stay here so that it will have cost them more in the end than just being a decent operation.

To give it 1 star is too high of a review. This place is behind ripoff. First off it still reeks of paint from their remodel. Then no one is here to help you at night. Was locked out of my room and couldn’t get back in and literally went to their sister hotel to get back in and they don’t have a way of helping you. They literally just call around to other people who call around to people trying to find someone who can help and no one can help.

We had a superb time at the Greyfinch! It is newly designed so everything is in perfect shape. The rooms are nautical and beachy yet elevates and modern. The bathrobes are the comfiest ever and the garden landscaping and pool make you never want to leave! I love that the pool goes to 8 feet and the location is great! So close to the heart of Chatham and lighthouse! Would definitely come back and recommend to family, friends, and all ages and party sizes!
