This is a reasonably priced hotel, just under a mile from town, def walkable to Chatham Center. Rooms are cute, good size, some are updated. Pools are small but clean and cute. AC is wall units, can be noisy but efficient. I would recommend, a typical Cape Cod motel.

This is our 5th? Stay at the Highlander during July 4th week. And just as in previous years..our stay was very enjoyable. The check in went smooth. If we needed an extra towell. Room service provided. But the main thing is..The Highlander is very comfortable..clean..spacious..and afgirdable place to stay while in Chatham.

Lovely Motel on Main St. In Downtown Chatham, a half mile from Veterans field to watch the Cape Cod League Chatham Anglers. Air Conditioner is terrific. It is located across the street from the Del Mar restaurant which has great food, drinks and entertainment 3 nights a week.

This is definitely all about location, at just 10-15 mins walk into Chatham centre this is a good budget option for an expensive area. The accommodation is basic and in need of some updating but it was very clean, the bed was comfy and the room a decent size. The innkeepers were also very warm and welcoming. You’re still paying a lot for what you get, but compared to the rest of Chatham this place makes a stay in the town accessible without the need for a car.

I have stayed at the Highlander several times in past years though not recently. The property and rooms are well maintained except for some paint needed outside which is no problem to me. Inside the room was spacious and could have used a little more furniture in the form of a desk for using a computer but I managed without it. There are no drapes on the front windows, only venetian blinds, which let in enough light even at night to see your way around but also unfortunately so could a nosy passerby. Bathroom could use another towel rack or two and at least one grab bar in the shower. No working ice machine(s) which is annoying though the manager was kind enough to give us some from the office. In all fairness, there was one small ice tray in the refrig. On the plus side, the manager was very pleasant and helpful with restaurant and other area suggestions and very accommodating with any questions or concerns we had. The room was perfectly clean and the beds were very comfortable with good mattresses. We were there in late season so it was far from fully occupied thus very quiet. Good location not far from downtown Chatham and many restaurants and related businesses. .
