I recently returned from a week long trip at the Surfside Motor Inn and it was delightful! The new owner, Mark Hagopian, has done an excellent job renovating the Inn with freshly painted rooms, new comfortable beds. The Inn is historic and quaint. The location is prime, across the street from the beach and a short walk into town. The... More

Very friendly staff and guests, the front porch is very inviting and a great place to read or chat. Walking distance to kid friendly beach, shops and restaurants. Clean rooms with flat screen TVs and continental breakfast included. This Inn will be a new must for our family vacations.

Just returned from a great stay at the inn! Stayed here on a Monday and we were pleasantly surprised at the location and the unbeatable price! The inn is located a short walk to downtown, less than five minutes to Main Street or the lighthouse. We checked in a little late and the staff were accommodating and really friendly. Our... More

This inn is convenient to downtown Chatham by car, where there are shops and restaurants. They offer free parking, refrigerators in the rooms, and continental breakfast, which we enjoyed on the porch. We could see the ocean from our room and walk there in minutes.

Friendly staff, plus opportunity to meet interesting fellow guests on relaxed front porch, with folks from U.S., Europe and Middle East. Walk to wonderful beach with lots of boat traffic zooming along. Walk to unique village shops, art galleries and all sorts of restaurants. Walk to lighthouse with panoramic views of ocean. Overall relaxed atmosphere. Slept like a log. Plan... More

While the location is great this inn is lacking in all other areas. The room was out of date due to dark wood paneling, musty and rusted in spots old carpeting, no AC! Nothing painted, no curtains, an old shade on the window, etc.overall this was a very unpleasant experience and would never consider coming again.

I could hear every word of my neighbor's television show, the rush of a gushing waterfall each time someone flushed the toilet, and the sounds of a woman having sex in the room above me. Hot and stuffy, no fan or A/C, stained carpet, and substandard amenities. Linens seem clean, however, and they do seem to be trying, but this... More

Thanks for your feedback. ( Although it seemed a little harsh and graphic ) Also did you consider the rate you paid? Pretty much the lowest available in all of Chatham. Next time please let us know of problems when your here so we can correct them. We are new owners as of June 15, this year. We are working... More

You cannot beat this place for the location! It is a short walk to the beach, the Chatham Lighthouse, downtown Main Street and Chatham Bars Inn. The inn itself is a little dated and in need of some updates. Good news though, there is new ownership taking over mid-June and they are planning to upgrade with all new beds, linens,... More

The friendly owners said, "You either like it or you don't!" What a step back in time! Everything is VERY dated---furniture, linens, wall hangings, tile--- and amenities are few. I'm not sure there was even AC, but since it was cool that didn't matter to us. The saving grace is its location. It's close to the beach and also close... More

We had a wonderful stay at surfside with Dick and Joan, they made is feel So welcome in this traditional motel near the beach. Everything about it was homely and HS so much history to it that you definitely in good safe hands. I would recommend this place for a family warm welcome with no frills, just a good old... More
