Not our first visit and certainly not the last. I look forward to our fall get away each year. The fire place is just lovely, a great place to sit and chat while sipping wine! As always, Andrea’s breakfast is to die for, a favorite of mine the baked pear and French toast. I think we may try to come for a snowy escape later this winter.

thank you so much, Michaela, for taking the time to review. It is always so great to see you and your girl friends bound through the door of CGI with smiles and joy! We love preparing some of our most deletable delights for breakfast, and always love to see the happiness exude when the Creme Brulee French Toast and Baked Pear are served. Please don't ever stop visiting us. We love having you as much if not more than you love visiting! xx

This is a very hard location to review as there are so many really amazing things about this inn but some elements that are less welcoming. The premises are beautifully presented with amazing attention to detail. David & Andrea have given deep thought to the decor and have added lots of beautiful touches. Andrea's cooking comes from the heart - her cookies and muffins are amazing and after a day of sightseeing a delight. Breakfast is lovely but the croissant with ham and cheese just too much, especially the fried egg. My biggest concern was that it is hard to relax and feel at ease? David has lots of local knowledge and advice but is not really welcoming. I sense he has created a fabulous environment but is anxious that guests will spoil it by eating ir drinking in grid rooms or damaging furniture? This is understandable and a potential consequence of owning a B&B but perhaps he needs to trust his guests to respect the environment and treat it with care?

Thank you for taking the time to review and mention how amazing you feel about your stay at Chatham Gables. From the time of arrival, we are very informative when it comes to making sure our guests are comfortable here at the Inn and feel as if it were their very own; that means a lot to us as Innkeepers when looking after our guests. Our guests find our beautifully and historically decorated common areas most relaxing and welcoming, especially during afternoon and evening hours when cookies, tea, port and sherry are abundant. This time is always a favorite after a long day of sightseeing. The common areas are quite large and comfortable, and the garden room is set up continually with tables dressed in fine linens and special china, silverware, glassware, etc....all that one needs when enjoying take-out of sorts. Our guests are so appreciative of this and understand when we ask that food and red wine be enjoyed in our beautiful common areas; our rooms are not set up for dining..We are sorry if you took this information as being un-welcoming, when in fact it was our intention for the exact opposite. I am so happy you enjoyed my baked goodies especially after a long day of adventure on Cape Cod! Thank you for your compliment of our breakfasts are "lovely", as Breakfast is a celebration around the Inn. The menus are beautifully framed in every guest room and in the Garden room where we serve our delights...each day has a specific hot entree which is described in great detail. We are so happy to be able to offer our very bountiful main breakfast entree fit for a king and queen, but also 3 other smaller options for those who don't feel up to such a large meal. We will say, with pride, that our breakfasts are considered a "brunch" and most guests don't need to stop for lunch, just a smaller snack in the afternoon prior to later evening dinner. We do hope this helps any future guests who may be browsing this review.

David and Andrea were gracious hosts in every way. They were eager to share tips about how to get around Cape Cod and suggest restaurants and activities. Andrea's breakfasts were incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. The Inn itself was very quaint and had lovely touches, such as quality soaps and shampoo, linens, and luxurious pillows and throws. CGI is also in a great location; close to the ocean, village shops and restaurants, and access to main roads, heading to Hyanis or Provincetown. My husband and I would greatly recommend staying at this very special Inn.

Absolutely beautiful Inn. Stunning service and fantastic breakfast. Great touches with the Sherry and Cookies. Bedrooms were very homely and comfortable as was the whole Inn. This really is 5-star accommodation. The Inn Keeper (David) has asked that all tourists to Chatham should book restaurants before they arrive, which I concur, it can be difficult to find somewhere to eat during the busy season. Thank you for providing such a wonderful location and for all the effort you put into making the stay so welcoming.
