My husband and I stayed at this wonderful inn for six nights in July. When researching a place to stay, I always look for accommodations that cater to adults or have an age restriction policy. This inn does, as they do not accommodate young children or pets. We prefer our vacations to be as relaxing and quiet as possible and... More

We had not been to the Captain Freeman Inn for a number of years (it was closed until new ownership took over) and when we came back this June it was even better than before if that was possible. The standard rooms with Queen beds are comfortably sized and the King rooms are even larger. All have comfortable beds, lovely... More

EXCEPTIONAL— by far, the best Inn we have ever come across in all our travels. 4 nights, 5 days of ambience, kindness and great hospitality. Great attention to detail, central location with a 5-minute walk to Breakwater Beach. Walking distance to convenience store, local bar, and fine dining restaurant (Brambles). Innkeepers, Bryon and Donna, set the stage from the moment... More

Stayed two nights at this inn, just 8 minutes walk to a lovely beach. A great welcome with chocolates and lavender left as gifts on our bed. Breakfast was delicious with a choice and two courses. Husband said that the blueberry pancakes were the best ever! Lovely small pool with lots of seats and sunbeds. Homemade cake and cookies available... More

The overall hospitality and attention to detail by Byron and Donna was exceptional. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating and not at all invasive. The Inn is lovely and the porch and pool area are restful and whimsical. If you're looking for a centrally located, tranquil and idyllic inn on the Cape look no further! Also, the breakfast and... Thank you for your great review. I just had to smile in reading your description of our gardens and pool area as "whimsical". We have a new gardener this summer that has a remarkable eye in creating fun landscape and garden areas. Yesterday he came and asked us if he could use a tree stump that had been pulled out... More

My wife and I stayed at the Captain Freeman for 9 nights. From the moment we arrived until the time we left we could not fault any aspect of the hotel or the service. Donna and Byron were always available to help and offer advice. Breakfast time was a special treat with a different gourmet breakfast almost every day and... More

We chose the Inn for location..5 minute walk to Breakwater Beach, close to the Bike Trail & in the heart of Brewster. But that is not all to recommend it, careful concern for your comfort, lovely breakfast & elegant accommodations...really the best choice we could have made.

A huge thank you for writing such a great review! We loved your title as we have always said that the most important thing we can do is to have wonderful comfy beds with comfortable and functional sitting areas along with a fabulous breakfast and afternoon repast experience. The gracious owners have thought of everything you could want in a B and B, including proximity to magnificent sunsets on the Cape. Our family was split between the Captain Freeman Inn and Brewster by the Sea, the sister property a short drive away. Both places take quiet hospitality to its pinnacle and pamper their guests more than any equivalent... More

The Captain Freeman Inn in Brewster is a lovely place, with gracious and accommodating hosts. The bed was comfy, the jacuzzi a treat, and the 3 course breakfast delicious! The grounds were beautiful with lots of flowers in bloom and the pool looked inviting. (The weather was a bit on the cool side, so we didn't test it out!) I... More

Spent three days at Captain Freeman Inn in the Dennis room. My wife and I went to celebrate her 40th birthday. Byron had several special treats made to welcome us, on top of the chocolates and other goodies in our room and the baked goods, coffee and teas available in the main dining area. The room was well decorated and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write this great review and so glad that you enjoyed our Dennis room. I still have to smile when I see the original claw foot tub from that room that is now a geranium planter by the pool. While I love old things in this case the new whirlpool tub is much better...
