My husband and I have been coming down to Brewster and staying at the Captain Freeman Inn for a number of years now and have always loved our stay. So it was an easy selection for my 60th birthday celebration which I shared with my dear friends. Laurie and Jason take such incredible care of their guests and every little detail you can imagine. Each of the rooms are beautifully tailored and extremely comfortable. The Inn is gorgeous at any time of the year and breakfast is my favorite treat each time I come to stay. Never a disappointment and this last stay with my friends exceeded all of my expectations. Every little detail and request I asked for was warmly accepted and initiated. I couldn't have asked for anything more. All the rooms have their own uniqueness about them, but of course we do have our favorites which I selected and shared with my friends. Lots of great restaurants around and the beaches are so relaxing and convenient to get to. I can't wait to book my next stay with my massage and facial. Been coming down to the Cape for more than 30yrs and Brewster's CFI is my ultimate favorite place for relaxation and tranquility and year round pool access!

Property's Favorite Review
We absolutely love staying at The Captain Freeman Inn. It’s one of my favorite places to be. The accommodations are so beautiful, the bedding is the best, the atmosphere is perfect, and the food is unreal! This Inn has the best hosts, Jason and Laurie. We just love them. They are professional, hospitable, and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Additionally, their staff is friendly and just fantastic. I cannot recommend this Inn enough or say enough good things about it. I studied hospitality and worked in the industry for 13 plus years. I am super choosy when it comes to where I stay on vacation and I cannot wait to go back.

Responded Jul 13, 2022
Aww this is so nice, Heather! Thank you so much! We always look forward to when the Ford family arrives at the inn...its is such a fun 9 days for us too! We are so glad you had another great vacation! Between baseball games, bike rides, beach, shopping, pool and fireworks, you had quite the busy trip! We are so glad the weather was perfect for you. And, we are so happy that you've already booked your trip for next year! -Laurie, Jason & the CFI Team

There are so many activities to do on the Cape so why not be in the best location? Brewster is right in the middle on the quiet bay side. Captain Freeman’s Inn is so cozy and the hospitality is unbeatable. Jason and Laurie will not only welcome you into their beautiful inn, but feed you a breakfast that will make you glad you chose Captain Freeman’s. I look forward to this wonderful get-away every year.

We’ve taken a fall trip for over 10 years and have stayed in Cape May, Gettysburg, Annapolis and Chatham, Mass. The Captain Freeman stay was by far our best B & B experience. The minute you walk into the door of this beautiful inn you are greeted by Laurie and Jason, our extremely attentive hosts. The grand former sea captain’s mansion is set back off Main Street in Brewster offers a quiet repose within walking distance of several excellent restaurants and Breakwater Beach on Cape Cod Bay. The rooms are comfortable and impeccably clean. The three course breakfasts are the best we’ve had. Owner-innkeepers Laurie and Jason couldn’t have been more accommodating. They have a heated salt water pool and fire pit which we took advantage of one night with pizza. This is a 5-star B & B which we highly recommend, ideally situated in one of our favorite places on earth. We highly recommend the Captain Freeman Inn.

Hate it when you find a restaurant that is outstanding and then when people hear about it you can never get a table again? The Captain Freeman is the kind of fantastic place I really want to keep to myself, but they deserve a review. At the Captain Freeman you are not only treated as guest of the inn, but as personal guests of Jason and Laurie. However, don’t fear, Inn Keepers Jason and Laurie have found that perfect balance of being personable and not in your face personal that at times Inn Keepers fall victim to. My wife and I stayed as a delayed anniversary get away. We have driven by the place many times, but this was our first stay. We met fellow guests that had stayed before with the previous owners and said it was great before, but it is even better now. We don’t know about the previous owners, but we fully agree with the now. The rooms and common areas are super clean and comfortable. And I do mean clean. Floors, bed linens, showers, etc. I’m a bit of a clean freak and I was very comfortable at the inn. The Inn has the charm of age and its history along with a touch of more modern appointments. Breakfasts are a good size, not huge and not small, just right like Goldilocks. I like a good breakfast and could just about finish mine; my wife was the same with maybe a touch left over some mornings. They also offer alternatives if you don’t care for or can’t eat the main breakfast. The afternoon snacks were delicious with coffee and tea available. The heated salt water pool is very nice especially on the cooler days. Breakwater Beach on the bay side of the cape is a very close walk down the street and in the off season you basically have it all to yourself. We brought our bikes and biked to the Rail Trail only about 5-7 minutes away by bike. We took it all the way to Chatham one of the days. Can’t say enough good things about the Inn and the owners. We will definitely be back.

Every fall I get together with my college roommates and their husbands. We travel to mostly Bed and Breakfasts in the Northeast USA. This year we went to the Captain Freeman Inn. Laurie and Jason, the innkeepers, made ever moment magical for us! They planned ahead ever detail. Not only is the inn impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, with wonderful amenities, but the breakfast is outstanding! I guarantee you will not be disappointed. We never go back to an inn twice but our group loved this inn so much they already booked for next year! As one guy said "we don't need to go anywhere else we found the best place ever!" And wait until you taste their cookies!

I'd like to tell you about Captain Freeman Inn and its Innkeepers, Laurie and Jason, who are both an absolute delight! The Inn is a glorious and romantic old sea captain's home and each room is beautifully decorated and perfectly cozy, has soft, dreamy beds, beautiful and luxurious Eurpoean towels and beautifully- scented bath products. The 5-course breakfast served it the morning is positively delicious and creatively considered ! You can choose to eat in several cozy dining spots throughout the inn. In the afternoon, home-baked and delicious pastries are served in the adorable tea room. On our last visit, I wrapped myself up in one of the thick, velvety, gorgeous blue pool robes you'll find hanging in the closet of your room, and took a swim in the heated outdoor pool on a chilly winter afternoon when the sun was setting and it was nothing less than sublime that I cannot wait to do again this winter! Another favorite is meandering down the street to Breakwater Beach and walking on forever! Our favorite restaurant is the small and cozy Spinakker, a short walk from the inn where the food and ambiance is romantic and wonderful! To sum it all up, a stay at the Captain Freeman Inn, no matter the season (winter is especially peaceful and beautiful and if you're lucky enought to be there when it is snowing, everything turns especially magical!) will be an unforgettable experience where the cares of the world will drift away and leave you feeling relaxed, pampered and energized! ~Patricia and Len, Boston

This is a gem of the Cap, the couple that runs the facility are amazing and the rooms are all special giving you that at home feeling while on vacation. The breakfast was delicious and they even tended to one of our special allergy needs each morning. Highly recommend this beautiful B&B.....l

It really doesn’t get better than this! This was my second time staying at the inn and I’m already planning the next visit : ) From the minute you walk in the front door, you can tell that your stay will be wonderful. Laurie and Jason are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They have thought of every possible detail, big and small - from the beautifully decorated rooms down to the adorable mini sand dollar plate that my butter came on at breakfast - everything is perfection. It is clear that they take great care to make thoughtful and beautiful updates all the time. Speaking of breakfast, you are in for a treat! Everything is soooo delicious! The crème brûlée French toast is one of the tastiest things I’ve ever eaten. And I love the raspberry bars : ) The afternoon snacks are equally delicious and something to look forward to! We stayed in the Wellfleet room on the third floor. Beautiful room that is bright and cozy with a fantastic bathroom! The tub was wonderful. But really, you cannot go wrong with any of the rooms. I previously stayed in the Brewster room which was beautiful as well. There is a drink station on each floor with a Kuerig so that you can make tea or coffee whenever you like. There’s a gorgeous patio area with a heated salt water pool that is open year round and a fire pit. There’s a screened porch that overlooks the pool that is delightful to sit in. We brought our dinner back and ate out there one evening. If you are looking for a fantastic place to stay where you can enjoy delicious food, beautiful surroundings, warm and friendly people and great conversations, then this is the place for you! Thank you Laurie and Jason for another fantastic stay!
