Enjoyed a lovely weekend getaway as a couple at the end of January. We stayed in the Mansion this time (had stayed in the villas on "the golf side" at the end of the summer.) Our Premier King Room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. Housekeeping does a wonderful job of keeping everything spotless. It is obvious that the Ocean Edge team emphasizes attention to detail; from the rooms, to the registration desk staff, and the employees in the restaurants. Our meal in the Rosscommon Room was seasonal and creative, and they keep things interesting with special nights (Martinis at the Mansion was the feature when we visited, and there were special appetizer offerings to go along with the unique cocktail offerings). Our off-season visit was a delight from start to finish.

Visited the The Mansion at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club for a Cape Cod summer couples vacation. Hotel grounds were meticulously maintained; views of Cape Cod Bay from The Mansions Presidential Bay Collection View from Guest Suite deck were amazing (see attached sunset pics). Indoor, outdoor pools located on-site but did not utilize at the time of our visit. We did not utilize the on-site restaurants and bars at the time of our visit as we opted to dine in room. Guest Suite Kitchen included many modern appliances. Several restaurants are located within driving distance of hotel. Many shops, and a few supermarkets were located a short drive from the hotel. Fitness center located in separate building but did not utilize at the time of our visit. Versatile Front Lawn activities for all ages available. Staff were friendly, accommodating, diligent, and knowledgeable. On-site self-parking available yet limited spaces. A minor bathroom fixture issue, kitchen fluorescent light burnout, and slow tub drain were reported at the time of our stay but all were quickly remedied. King bed was comfortable yet the pillows offered little neck support. Minimal noise issues from guests or traffic. A pair of Eastern Cottontail rabbits visited the Presidential Bay Collection property every evening (see attached pic) at the time of our stay. Overall superb stay and summer vacation. I would recommend The Mansions Presidential Bay Collection as the views of Cape Cod Bay from guest suite deck were amazing. I would consider staying at the The Mansion at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club again when visiting Cape Cod, Brewster area in the future.

Great stay at ocean edge this summer! We spent a week and enjoyed every minute. staff was excellent treating our family so kindly and making you feel as if you are the only guests. Although we were there during one of the peak times, the beach was easy to obtain umbrellas and chairs, the waterfront is unbeatable for location, view and the kids spent hours hunting for crabs and seashells. We didn’t dine at the terrace although did get a drink and it’s incredibly beautiful. We loved the addition of the front lawn which welcomed families to play at night and also had easy affordable food that kids enjoy, we ate at the pub twice and it was good food and consistent. We enjoyed the visit from the whitecaps and that far exceeded our expectations. My children had a total blast with the wiffle ball game
Ocean edge is our favorite resort not only for the service, and the impeccably kept rooms, but also location. During our stay we went on whale watches, fish, etc you name it and it was only a jaunt from all of our activities. Loved the central location. We will definitely be back!

I really wanted to love this resort, because I considered it a significant upgrade from what we’ve done each year for our other Cape vacations. But for the amount of money to stay here I’d say the experience was just “ok”.

The grounds are beautiful, the food was incredible, the view perfect and tons of friendly and helpful staff. You never had to wait long for food, drinks, or a chair on the beach. They definitely invest in their staff which went a long way.

What was disappointing was the quality of the rooms. Being in the West Wing mansion at just over $900 a night with fees and taxes, the rugs were dated and dirty, the room smelled awfully musty, the electrical outlets wouldn’t hold anything in the socket and crackled every time we tried. The ceiling had black marks around the sprinklers which one can assume was a leak that turned to mold. The whole reason we chose this resort was because we have an immune compromised child and need a mold free room. They installed air freshener machines in the hallways that are so overwhelming as soon as you walk in. It’s obvious they’re trying to mask an adverse smell.

I was also disappointed with the lack of kids activities. Any other resort we’ve stayed at always has activities at night like a magic show, music or movies under the stars. They do have lawn games but they take most away after a certain time as the lawn becomes busy. There were many families there with their children who could have benefitted from this. Unless you choose to do the drop off for a fee, there isn’t an option for kids outside of the pool and beach. If you need some basic essentials like tampons or floss, you won’t find it at the small store there. But you will find a $350 sun dress if you need it!

For us the room and lack of kids activities were a bit of a deal breaker. But for others, these may not be what you’d consider issues. The beach is beautiful, the pools clean and fun and again, the food and hospitality was definitively great. We’ll likely find another resort next year, but did find ways to make the stay as enjoyable as possible.

Dear MDion Thank you for your note and feedback regarding your stay. Your comforts and convenience is of utmost importance to us and on behalf of the Resort, I extent my apologies for your room having a musty odor. With the humidity on the Cape and next to the Bay, we have air purifiers and filters throughout the rooms and hallways to help combat this issue. I am not aware that you had reported the issue to the Front Desk so that we could either address or provide a room move for your comfort and for the comfort of your child. Also, thank you for recognizing the staff throughout the property. Overall we are very fortunate to have an energetic team from all over the world and it is through their dedication and personalization of services that brings the property to a higher level. We appreciate you recognizing the team and we will share your feedback with them, thank you! I welcome the opportunity to discuss your stay with you, if you would be kind enough to contact me directly. My direct office line is 774-323-6220. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely, Michael

After not being able to travel because we were not willing to leave our beloved sick dog with anyone, we were able to spend two wonderful nights at the Mansion for a much-needed getaway.
We were given a room in the location we requested and were pleased to see a small fruit tray waiting for us, much appreciated. In the room was a small beach bag for guest use - so thoughtful - and the delicious chocolates from Chatham Candy Manor was another sweet touch. There are robes and slippers for guests, but the robes are very large and heavy so smaller guests should bring their own.

The room and wing were immaculate thanks to the excellent housekeeping staff and while we were getting ready for dinner there was a knock on the door for turndown service. The bedding was very comfortable, the room quiet, and we slept well. New cushions on the balcony chairs too.
The beach was nice during our stay. Beach chairs and umbrellas are set up where you want. There is service from the Beach Bar in your chairs, or you can just walk up and sit at the bar or a table for a drink or lunch.
The Ocean Terrace Restaurant/Bar is a favorite too and we happily had dinner and drinks there in the evening. The food is excellent and the service from two of the bartenders was outstanding. Nice not to have to drive anywhere.

We are looking forward to our next visit in August. Highly recommend.

An absolutely amazing vacation experience in every way. We stayed at the Mansion, which I would most highly recommend, given it's amenities and easy access to the beach. It is a bit pricey, but if you're looking for a luxury get away in a great location on the Cape, Ocean Edge is the best. Resort staff is outstanding, and the seasonal help is mostly very attentive as well. As with all seasonal service groups, there are (very rare) exceptions, but not enough to not rate the overall service experience as excellent. The Mansion has great dining options, and the food was always very good, if sometimes a bit pricey ($90 for breakfast for two with tip but no liquor). Bayzo's bar is a fantastic little restaurant/bar with great food and in our experience, great service tableside and at the bar. They only have live music Tuesday-Thursday (apparently, they don't need it to draw a weekend crowd) and we absolutely loved Mike Haynes, who was like our personal karaoke machine. The Ocean Bar is a beautiful waterside venue with excellent service, at the bar and on the beach. The beach servers hustled and were very attentive especially since they've got quite a bit of ground to cover. The resort is actually two resorts, the Mansion on the beach/water, and the villas, which are somewhat less in price but don't have access to the Mansion facilities. If you stay at the Mansion, you get access to all villa amenities, golf, pickleball and a couple of pools and spa. I say it was pricey, but the value ($900 per night, which included all fees and taxes) was good. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and well tended to by a great housekeeping staff. I really can't say enough good things about the resort, the food and beverage service, the location and the experience. We will most definitely be returning.

Had a fantastic family reunion at Ocean Edge. The restaurant staff really made this weekend getaway one to remember. The resort had lots of fantastic amenities and dining options, we didn’t have to leave campus once! The beach scene w/ beach bar made it feel like we were on an island. Although we enjoyed our stay, we had some miscues that hindered our trip. Our room on check in day wasn’t ready until 6 o’clock, which made us late for our dinner reservations. Along with the delayed check in , the front desk had an inconsistent process of complimentary services and gifts for the groups waiting . My cousins booked a townhome and they received a complimentary snack tray, resort credit and champagne buckets . When we asked the front desk the man said none of that and when we asked to upgrade to a bigger room because it took forever for our basic room they said $1,000 extra a night on top of the 500 per night we already paid for . Truly a disappointment in our eyes as we have been traveling here for years . Lastly the pool needs to be completely re done. Condemned snack bar, cheesy music, outdated chairs and gardening hose in the pool . Another disappointment within the resort for the money we spent here . Overall we enjoyed our trip here and would definitely come back in the near future.

We held a small symposium for about 15 people at Ocean Edge and it couldn't have been a better experience! Alina was our main point of contact and she did an excellent job, patiently answering my questions, checking in throughout the event and following up on any issues I brought up to promptly address them! During the event Nadya and Bisera served flawlessly behind the scenes to prepare our meals, always make sure the room was stocked with beverages and snacks and clear plates and trash. I never once had to ask them to refill things or clear the tables, because they were so on top of it.

The hotel itself was a fabulous experience and all of our guests said that they wanted to come back. The guest rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean! We are already talking about hosting another event there - we had high expectations and Ocean Edge far surpassed all of them!

After being a 20 year guest on the Mansion side , I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I was to receive an email yesterday that the beach and beach bar is now being opened up to guests from the Villas up the street and that you are providing shuttle service also. So essentially, the guests who pay top dollar on the Mansion side for the amenities including the beach and beach bar are going to be overcrowded and shut out at times because you are now accommodating guests who pay MUCH LESS and stay down the street. As a long time customer, I am disgusted. We have tolerated the mansion rooms desperately in need of refurbishment and the front lawn which has become a local “free for all” - but this newest open beach policy is a 3rd strike. There are a lot of exclusive places to stay that don’t take full advantage of their guests. Sorry Ocean Edge, we won’t be back.

Responded Jul 29, 2024
Dear Donewithatlantis I am sorry to read your response concerning the email you received about our Villages of Ocean Edge guests being invited to enjoy the Beach Bar and beach services. Please allow me to provide a couple of clarifications First, the Villages of Ocean Edge guests have always been invited to enjoy the beach bar. Over the past couple of years, we have made great strides at policing the entrance to the beach boardwalk to insure only Resort Guests and Club Members have access. During COVID, many within the community discovered this hidden treasure and were utilizing this facility, causing an overcrowding at the bar. Eliminating public access has proven to be very successful in providing our Resort Guests and Club Members a more exclusive experience. In doing so, we have also noticed post COVID, and enforcing the private status of the Beach Bar, the beach itself is significantly less populated. Secondly, by mandating our Villages Resort Guests use the shuttle, we greatly improve parking access for our Mansion side guests. As a long time guest of 20 years, I am sure you will appreciate this policy change for an improved experience for you and your family when staying with us. The fact that we have eliminated public access to the beach and beach bar has provided this opportunity to allow our guests to enjoy a much more open and comfortable beach experience. You will not find yourself shut out of the beach or pool facilities, but rather have a more open, less crowded experience, with a full staff on-board to provide the services for you and your family to enjoy. We do hope that you will return and when you do, please share with us your concerns and we will do everything we can to make sure you have an excellent stay Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon. Sincerely

This was our 10th year visiting Ocean Edge, starting with 6-night stays, this year was 9 nights and we’re booking next year for 14. Just a magical experience every year with the private beach, great tennis and golf, sitting right on the Cape Cod Rail Trail bike route, and great dining! The staff and service has always been wonderful but this year it was off the charts. There are always a lot of summer staff from Europe but this year they seemed better trained, more engaging, and to a person, always going out of their way to make the guest experience special. Can’t wait to be back! (Thinking about a winter getaway too!).

The beach is really long and when the tide goes out you can walk 500m out in shallow water. The mansion rooms are set well back. Some higher ones may have bay views.
