We are currently still at the resort. We did a lot of research before selecting Ocean Edge for our 4 night stay. We enjoy nicer resorts and the website looked to offer what we enjoy. Upon arrival there was no bell service. I don’t know if this is standard or not but we rolled with it and went to find our room in the East Wing. We were unable to find a parking spot anywhere so we parked behind someone who created their own spot. We began unloading and realized the only way up to our room was to drag our luggage up the stairs. Definitely not my idea of what you do at a 4/5 star resort. We headed back up to the front where we had to find someone to help us. We were told the parking issue and lack of help was due to 4 weddings being held that day. As a business owner myself…..don’t let one set of customers walk away unhappy to service others. Our room is 122. It is not horrible but it is dark and dreary. The air conditioner rattles along with something else about every 20-30 minutes or so and for the life of us we can’t figure out what it is. We had to call to have the shower drain fixed as the shower doesn’t drain properly. The TV had to be reset by maintenance since it stopped working. The toilet does not flush without holding down the handle. We are at Bazyous (sp?) our first night and we’re greeted by our server who was holding a mop and getting ready to clean the floor. We are currently at the Shark Pool and won’t be entering the water since it is so cloudy that you can barely see the tiles on the bottom. I understand it is highly used, as we stopped by yesterday for a drink but the chemicals are clearly out of balance as you should be able to see the other bathers legs in the water and the bottom of the pool. The website does not represent what we are experiencing, sadly. It’s not an inexpensive resort to stay at. I expected much more.

The staff at Ocean Edge deliver exceptional and discreet service, and this long-awaited family vacation exceeded everyone’s expectations. The grounds are impeccably maintained and the array of activities adds to the appeal. There is a shuttle service that makes it possible to bar-hop or pool-hop, or both! There are plenty of outdoor dining experiences, and Alex at the Beach Bar (along with the Jeff’s passion cocktail, fries, double-cheeseburger, and cold lobster roll) were highlights. My children were able to try paddle-boarding at Bay Pines Beach and pickleball for the first time. There’s a new nautical playground with ample shade and lawn chairs tucked away behind the pickleball courts. We enjoyed the lawn games on the Front Lawn and the Cannon ball contest at the Arbor pool. The Cape Cod rail trail bike path is easily accessible from the middle of the resort. The water pressure was excellent and no one missed their screens. We are counting down the days until next time.

Great view of the sunset, great food, great service! Highly recommend sitting at the bar and getting served by Donnine. She was so fast, responsive; attentive and just lovely. Food was great (clam chowder, oysters, ceviche, steak tacos) and the view of the sunset from the bar can’t be be. Great place for a special occasion dinner date!

I planned a family reunion at Ocean Edge for 45 of family members from all over the country and it was a HUGE SUCCESS! Areeya in sales/event planning provided wonderful communication throughout this process; set up all the rooms and various dining events with ease! We had, Stacie, on site at our dinner events - who even went and got ice cream for a child in our group with a nut allergy so that she could participate in the dessert portion of the evening with the other children - talk about above and beyond! We all had a great time - loved the beach, pool, pickleball, archery, spa, various dining and so much more! All of staff were welcoming and accommodating! Would definitely recommend!

This was our 1st trip to the beach with our grandchildren. The weather was perfect, the accomodations were great and the staff outstanding. We all had a great time and can't wait to come back. I wish we had booked a longer stay. Next year...

A remarkably bad experience, unless your idea of a good time is having all the amenities of being in the middle of nowhere while also somehow living in the basement of a frat house. No discernible wi-fi whatsoever (we stayed for nearly a month and were moved multiple times- nope, no service, anywhere), no cell reception, and parking was about a six min walk away- awesome for large grocery hauls and multiple children. Not even a loading area where our exile was located so that we could drop our stuff daily. Walls are paper thin. Housekeeping was very sweet, but continually tried to enter the room because checkout dates were consistently miscommunicated. Not their fault, but management is clearly not operating at full capacity. We all left several days early. What a mess. Never again.

Another great two night stay at Ocean Edge in a Mansion Premier King Room. As in past stays the room was immaculate and comfortable with a small balcony. A big thank you to our room attendant who was great, unfortunately we never learned her name. Our room was close to the Ocean Terrace where we had breakfast both mornings. Johat from Jamaica was our server on the last day and he was excellent. The beach is just a short walk. The beach attendants set up two chairs and an umbrella for us. There is a cute beach bar where you can get lunch/snack and delicious frozen drinks. There is also wait service on the beach if you don't want to leave to get your own food/drinks. The Ocean Terrace Bar at the Mansion is a great spot for an afternoon drink. The cheese plates are delicious. We also had dinner there one night and our seafood was perfect. We met several nice bartenders, two from Jamaica and one from Serbia and the service was always excellent. There are a lot of activities to participate in or not. Our objective was to just relax and recharge and we did just that. We've already made a reservation to return in August.

Stayed in a Mansion room Deluxe King with my family of two adults and two children under the age of 12. The room looked exactly the same as when I stayed here 9 years ago which means that it has not been updated in some time. THE GOOD: The property is beautiful. We enjoyed the private beach every day and the beach attendants (young men and women mostly in their teens and twenties) were very helpful and kind. We also briefly enjoyed the fun lawn games when we returned from dinner off-site one night. The atmosphere was fun and magical with the string lights, fire pits and cozy seating scattered throughout the Great Lawn. THE BAD AND UGLY: I requested to be on the second level but was assigned a ground floor room. I believe this is where they intentionally put all the families with young children. As others have pointed out, the SMELL is musty and dank. I’ve stayed at historic properties before - including The Chanler in Newport - and it did not smell like a mushroom forest. I understand it is hard to find housekeeping staff nowadays but for a 4-star resort there is certain level of expectation for cleanliness. Though our room was tidy, it was NOT CLEAN. There were short hairs in the tub when we arrived and the tile was discolored. There are also no USB ports, which is a minor inconvenience but it is standard in almost any other hotel these days. I asked for additional towels since there were only 3 sets of towels in my room even though I indicated we were a party of 4. Upon receiving the towels. I discovered a 1-inch piece of DRIED BACON and a bit of dried up egg caked on to the supposedly fresh set of towels. I informed the front desk about this when I checked out and was told that the towels fine from an “outside service.” HELPFUL TIPS: Don’t forget to tip the beach attendants! They work hard setting up umbrellas, chairs, etc. and serving food. I witnessed multiple couples and families fail to tip their attendants. It is no secret that this resort is not in the average person’s budget so if you can afford to stay here, you can definitely afford to tip the beach attendants! Also, if you are going to make them listen to a boring story about your Irish grandma or your friend’s house on the Vineyard when they set up your chairs then throw $10 their way for the trouble. The food at the resort is mediocre and overpriced. There are great options just a short drive down the street from the resort: APT (for breakfast and brunch - lots of Vegan options) and Stone L’Oven Pizza (great pasta & pizza for families) and Cobie’s for beach-stand style seafood & ice cream.
