Hubby & I recently spent an awesome summer afternoon lounging and swimming at this beach. Its actually a state reservation with camp grounds as well. It's located where the Cape Cod Canal opens into Massachusetts Bay. The shoreline is quiet long with lots of space for everyone, even on a hot summer day. There's a HUGE parking lot along with... Beach is clean. We had a blast, there is some rocks but still ok. Has a food court and bathrooms. Also a place to wash up after being on the beach. Has bike racks too. Up of state is $14.00 to get in.

If your looking for a peaceful camping place this is it! If your looking for convienance of having lots of amenities, this is not for you. Small basic campground on the canal and walking distance to the beach. Three womans showers for the entire campground. Very quiet, mostly retired campers. We loved the seritity.

We were staying at nearby Shawme Cromwell which gave us access to this park as well. We decided to stop by and enjoy the beach for the afternoon. Check in for the campground is right as you go in and then you have to drive about half a mile to the campground. The campground is a glorified parking lot, but... More

While it was difficult to reserve a site here due to 6 month to the day rental window, I think it was worth it, one of the campground staff helped me out with this personally, don't remember her name but she was great. Overall it was a great location for visiting the Cape, you didn't have the traffic problems if... More

We are a family of six that love the beach! As a parent it is so fun to watch your children jump waves, build sand castles, and explore nature. What isn't fun, is no bathrooms, little amenities and zero parking. I'm glad to say Scusset Beach has none of those problems! For a $14 entrance fee, you are greeted to... More

Location is wonderful, on the state side of the Cape Cod Canal so no traveling over the bridge. Nice breeze at all times. Campground is small and quiet. One of the only area campgrounds that let you book less than a week in the summer. A few very disappointing aspects: 1. the administration staff at check-in were indifferent and grumpy... More

Its a rarity to find warm waters on new england beaches. This is one of the beaches which had them and we enjoyed it immensely. Awesome beach with clean water (no weeds) and high areas near the water where kids can make castles. It also has clean washrooms with a pretty good concession stand. It overs hot snacks and ice... We come every summer with our grandkids. It is a wonderful beach campground. Ocean water is clean and cold. Canal has a beautiful bike/walk path. It is usually completely occupied in summer months which makes it amazing that areas are usually very clean.

My husband was mesmerized, by the canal. The water tides rising and falling. Watching the local fisherman and boats come in. The campsite was clean and easy to locate. We spent 2 nights at this great campsite. Would recommend!
