Detailed Reviews
My wife & a friend stayed here and were very impressed with the room accommodations and parking right outside your door. In addition, the rooms have good A/C units, a great thing to have when it can humid in the Berkshires. A large peaceful & beautiful lake is literally a stones throw the rooms.

A friend and I stayed here during a recent hike on the AT. The room was somewhat small but nicely furnished and very clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the muffins, fresh fruit, and especially the FRESH coffee maker in the room. Shuttles were available to nearby trailheads for a fee. A very nice place to stay at a very reasonable price.

My husband and I stayed here several times while hiking the Appalachian Trail in the area.
The setting is beauiful; right on a lake, with lawn chairs, a grill and a picnic table. Also, there are canoes and row boats available for use.
The rooms were always extremely clean. The beds comfy, with crisp white sheets and attractive bedspreads.
The bathroom is small, but a bigger bathroom is not needed. It is adequate and fills the need.
There is a refrigerator in the room, and the fruit and muffins are lovely in the morning with the coffee, tea and hot chocolate that is provided.
Diane, the owner and Michelle, the office manager, are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate your every need.
I agree that the noise from the Mass Turnpike is a distraction, but that can't be helped. It is what it is.
All in all it was a very lovely experience and I would recommend this motel for anyone who is visiting the area. You won't be sorry.

The view outside our door was very lovely and the atmosphere at the lodge was very casual but the room itself was not exactly my idea of a vacation spot.
There was a mini fridge in the room that was very noisy....there was a vent fan in the bathroom that was very noisy as well...and the bed squeaked and groaned so loudly when one just sat upon it that one was hesitant to engage in certain activities as one was worried that the loud noise would attract a passing moose causing him to break down the door.
The breakfast in the office/snack room consisted of instant oatmeal and pre-packaged muffins.

What a gem! My husband and I stayed for a week in September at this hidden treasure. It has all you need for a comfortable, quiet, relaxing little lodge. Some traffic noise, but Green Lake and all it offers makes up for that. The Lodge provided boats and kayaks, which thrilled my husband as he caught rainbow trout. Michelle, the manager is delightful, non-intrusive and efficient. Fresh coffee each morning and a nice little offering of fresh muffins and fruit. We compared this to surrounding properties and believe it is the best deal out there! You'll feel at home immediately. We also really enjoyed Dream Away Lodge, about 15 minutes from here. Give it a try!

This small motel and lodge is ideally placed just 0.1 miles from the Appalachian Trail, where it crosses US 20, near Lee MA. The prices are very reasonable, especially if you split a room with another hiker. The rooms are clean. The hot water is endless. Lots of TV channels. Not particularly close to services, but at least two restaurants deliver food. The Lodge serves muffins and fruit for breakfast, and they have cold sodas for sale. WiFi didn't work for me at the far end of the motel, but I had 5 bars on Verizon so I didn't need to worry about that.
I would stay here again when I hike through.

My family and I stayed in the Lodge (house) portion of the property, and it was everything we were looking for. Plenty of room to spread out and relax, read, or puzzle in the house. Two fantastic decks with great view of the lake to enjoy outdoor dining or relaxing as well. There are boats (paddle boats, kayaks, and canoes) to use on the lake as part of the rental which was an added plus. Lakeside picnic tables and a campfire ring allowed us to have an evening of s'mores with the family. The owners, Henry and Diana, were very friendly and helpful!

Really sweet folks and an amazing bargain.
Its located in a beautiful setting, near Lee and the Mass Pike, the Appalachian Trail and Route 8. Humble rooms that will bring you back to your childhood- with rates that are frankly so economical its a miracle in the Berkshires! A real service, run by kind people, for a tired traveler.

We stayed 2 nights so we could see a dance performance at the Jacob's Pillow dance festival. It was a beautiful setting by the lake and very close to Jacob's Pillow and Lee where we ate at The Starving Artist (great food including vegan and vegetarian and crepes). We enjoyed sitting by the lake in comfy chairs and taking a boat out on the lake. We will be back!
