We visited for the cancelled Ocean City Bike Weekend for motorcycles. Our group had rented four sites next to each other. We checked in Thursday and checked out on Sunday. The check-in staff was very quick and friendly. The campsite we were at was one of the new ones. It was a good sized campsite. Plenty of room around the camper. The pad for the camper is asphalt and the patio area is concret. The asphalt was new and a little soft. Our lumber under our landing gear sunk a little. The campground was clean and well kept. Many of the facilities were closed due to COVID but where we went was clean. The camp store is well stocked with camping essentials. The deli inside the camp store had good food. I really enjoyed the club sandwich and it was huge. All the employees we dealt with were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is you could hear the highway noise since we were on the side of the campground closest to the highway, so a fence or maybe a row of bushes or trees would help cut down on the traffic noise. It appears that they have upgraded and cleaned up this campground.

We have been staying here and Frontier Town for 30 years. A lot of upgraded and changed over the past few years.. most good but sure do miss the shaded sites. New restrooms are really nice individual areas with private toilet, sink and shower. Will definitely keep coming back.

Sadly I feel forced to write this about our stay. We stayed in the cabins and while they were clean and comfortable your personal property is not cared for. Cleaning was being done next door and there golf cart used for carting laundry and cleaning supplies backed into our truck. Leaving a dent and scratches. Corporate denied this happening and we are resulted to pay for damages done to our vehicle. For this reason we will never return. Corporate should hire honest employees to just confess for doing such a thing instead of lying

many of the RV sites are well paved and in good condition. Cabins look new and to be in good condition as well. It's peaceful and clean. Not far from offsite amenties such as shopping or beaches so it's a great location. There was a huge fly problem on our site, which from talking to other campers, we found out that they dump sewage in the woods right next to the RV sites near the "lake". I put lake in quotes because it's more of a pond than an actual lake. The facilities on that end of the campground were closed, which we were not made aware of when checking-in, then we got yelled at by the staff for trying to use those facilities. Also, not a fan of how they charge per "adult". And watch out for change in charges which they don't make you aware of. Be sure to print a copy of your original reservation receipt for your records before they make changes and charge you different prices. We also rented a golf cart which was not charged properly and died on us.

My children and I were so excited to begin our 10 day vacation. I was also super excited that I didn’t hit a bunch of traffic on the way there so we were alittle ahead of schedule. We got there and I went to check in. As soon as I walk in the lady behind the counter, who was actually very rude the entire time, says “ you need to pay a $25 fee because you are an hour early”. Like seriously, I’m staying 10 nights and you’re charging me $25 to go to an empty campsite an hour early. That’s just stupid. If I would have known that, I would have made sure I got there super early in the morning and got my $25 worth! Then she tells me that because it is only myself, my 13 and my 15-year-old camping, that I need to pay additional money. Mind you, I had already prepaid for 10 nights- wasn’t expecting to have more money owed. She said that if it was two adults and two children it would be cheaper than us three. Not quite sure how much sense that makes. The lady that was standing next to me in line looked at me and said, you should’ve just told them it was two adults and two kids because they’re going to give you the same wristbands and then you’d have an extra you could give it to another person if you wanted to. Give it to a complete stranger if need be lol. Well darn, now I know! Message received loud and clear. But how does that make any sense...I paid more for 3 people than 4. I walked out of that registration office wishing that I never made any reservations there. They really should get nice people that enjoy their jobs to be checking the campers in. Nothing like getting a bad taste in your mouth right away. We get to our site and there are a pair of used gloves laying in the grass. Guess what, that’s where they stayed too. Because I’m not picking up somebody else’s trash. You have employees for that. The bath houses were pretty clean every time we went in, but multiple times we would go in and there would be no toilet paper at all. The bus is not running. Which I don’t really understand because the ocean city buses are running and I even saw the Francis Scott Key Resort bus running. So no explanation why the Fort Whaley and Frontier Town bus can’t run. We did go to the waterpark twice. And that was nice actually because right now due to COVID-19, only campers can use the waterpark. That is a big deal because normally when we camp there we don’t even bother going to the waterpark because it’s open to the public and it’s so overcrowded that it’s not worth going to. We didn’t use the pool at all at Fort Whaley because it was always pretty crowded, so we stayed away from it. Honestly we won’t be returning. The bad outweighed the good. I don’t like to be nickel and dimed and that’s what they seem to do. I’ll take my money elsewhere where people can be respectful and polite and not rip me off.
