Built in the 1960's as lee's motel the hotel was the only hotel in the area. Starting out as only 20 rooms we have grown over the years to a 118 room property with a large outdoor swimming pool. The hotel was bought in 1992 and the name was changed to the Boston Inn. Many changes have been made through out the years to keep up with the modern times but the property still keeps its older "traditional" mom and pop Inn feel. We recently added LCD HD T.V's to all our rooms as well as a Dell desktop computer and free wireless internet through out the property.Very convenient to McDaniel College, Carroll County Farm Museum, Carroll County Ag Center, and Union Mills Homestead. We are about 30 minutes from Owings Mills, Reisterstown, and Frederick, and about 45 minutes from Baltimore, and Gettysburg.

What isn't wrong? Door lock broke,remote taped together, bugs in bathroom, one of the mattresses we think is a box spring, mattresses dumpsters of crap in parking lot, wifi doesn't work, light switch backing broken...yes it's cheap but literally not worth any $

The staff was phenomenal! The beds were excellent! I was very happy with the entire experience. If I go back to this town, this will be my first choice of hotel. Close to many restaurants. Easy connection (via Lyft) to all major places. Nice Place.

Horrible place. Holes in the walls. Unpleasant employees. I called to ask if they had found the phone charger I left in room 143 and on two separate occasions by 2 different employees I was told “it’s not my job, I’ll ask house keeping call back later” the second employee I talked to was horribly rude to me when I asked if they had found anything. If you stay here and leave anything, good luck ever getting it back.

Not worth the price. We stayed in room 299. There are no blankets, just the bed spread. The smoke alarm is missing. The safety chain on the door is missing. The toilet roll holder is broken. No place to hang towel. The shower rod is held together with a coat hanger. The refrigerator has brown gooey stuff on the bottom. The freezer had 2 inches of ice. The dresser is broken. The sheets have cigarette burns. There are migrate workers hanging out in the parking lot drinking and smoking pot. The headboard was not attached to the bed. It was just leaning against it and the wall. We started in room 295 and left that room since it had urine on the seat. Should I go on?

Any amenities advertised were not available. I guess they'll blame it on Covid. No pool. No continental breakfast. No coffee maker but two - count them TWO refridgerators in the room. Management unwilling to make adjustments. Beds ok. Bath - no hair dryer. Barely acceptable. Very poor !

I came on memorial weekend, and all else are full, and even a motel horrible like this has no vacancy. I don’t mind they do not provide breakfast — I’d rather eat elsewhere even if they do. The room is hot like a sauna room and after I turn on the air conditioning, it doesn’t change much. Everything is cheap — which you can expect with $70 a night. The TV is not working. I called the front desk, they told me the technician is back home and no one will come and fix the problem. I smell marijuana and see wired people around. OK, then. I learned a lesson that you need to make your reservation at your targeted hotel as early as possible to make sure you like in a comfortable place.

This by far was the WORST, MOST DISGUSTING ROOM I have ever stayed in. After driving over 10 hours, I picked this place as a stopping point before I continued my journey. NO NON-SMOKING rooms were available and the room was filled with the stench of mildew and smoke! The sheets and towels were dirty and stained. The bathroom had MOLD AND MILDEW in every corner and in the shower --which I dared not use. There were flies crawling on the ceiling around several wet spots. Thank God I had a blanket and sheet in my car so I could nap for a short time before heading out. After an hour, I got the heck out of their. I dared not discuss the matter with the front desk staff who I'm sure was the owner as a NO REFUND sign was written on the desk! I also did not want anyone to be "resold" such a dirty room for them to get double $ for an absolute health department violation building!! DO NOT STAY HERE, PERIOD!

Horrible, deplorable conditions. The amenities listed on their website do not exist. Our non-smoking room smelled like a barroom that allowed smoking. The King deluxe room overlooking the pool that we booked was a mirage. We were placed in a basement room with 2 full size beds, beat-up furniture and no microwave or refrigerator. So bad I would not put down our belongings.After several complaints we were offered a refund, accepted it, and stayed at a different hotel. My advice- Stay Away.
