This hotel seems to be very popular for weddings/receptions. During my entire stay, there was always a reception of some sort taking place on the lower level of the main house. If your room is in the main house, it can get quite loud. The room itself was nice although there was no TV and the bathroom was a bit... More

I took my best friend for her birthday to spend the night and the six course meal. When we arrived, we were told they were short on help and that there were a few parties ahead of us to be shown to their rooms. I wanted to make the best of it and not stress and said it was fine... More

From the Historic architecture to the formal gardens this place has it all for Victorian enthusiasts. The rooms are period correct and the service is impeccable! A meal in the restaurant is sublime....Chef Spenser Wolf does magic in the kitchen. The wine list is exceptional!

It was a surprise birthday gift from my wife to stay in a bed & breakfast. The Antrim 1844 was above & beyond anyone's imagination of a B&B. It was October 31st 2014 As we arrived the gardens were still in bloom. Impatiens, azalea's, & a rose garden with so many still blooming bushes. The main hall was exquisite, so... More

Received an "I Love Inns" gift certificate and used it at the Antrim 1844. What a lovely stay! Service was superb--felt like we were being spoiled the entire time--we did not want to leave! Our room was in the mansion, The Fuller Room (third floor-stairs only), and we thought everything was just beautiful. Roses and chocolates on the pillow at... More

When making a reservation we were not told the cottage was literally on the road and noisy from traffic. Room was tiny and not at all functional. Small jacuzzi tub was in the bedroom beside the bed. Only 1 chair to sit on. Other person has to stand or sit in the tub. Bathroom is so tiny one hits one's... More

Dear Guest, First of all, please accept our apologies for not meeting your expectations during your last stay at Antrim1844. We really appreciate and take very seriously your comments and specially your time in doing so. The Cottage was the original “Post House” for the plantation’s office and it is one of the smallest room at our property, but still... More

Last night, November 8, 2014, my wife and I treated our son and his wife and our nephew and his fiance to an evening at the Antrim 1844 Country House Hotel. This is the 3rd or 4th time we went there for dinner. Once again, we were not disappointed. The menu was superb, the service was outstanding (especially the service... More

Was here at the start of summer for a wedding. We had a room just off the creek - very private and romantic. The room was very beautifully decorated and breakfast was delivered to the mailbox first thing in the morning for a little more pampering than expected. The main house, the sitting rooms, the pub, the breakfast room and... More

Our son was married here on October 12th, all I can say is WOW! From the service to the food to their coordinator Elizabeth everything was perfect. (which is hard to say for any wedding). Everyone stayed on this property and we feel that was what made it unique. The food from the rehearsal dinner Saturday night until the Wedding... More

I stayed here with my husband on a Sunday night. The room was in the main house and was clean and nice. But since it's an old house noise travels well. We could hear late night wedding guests who wanted to party, but the noise died down at a reasonable hour. I don't plan on returning, but if I did... More
