I want to say I'm sorry to Mary - the innkeeper - for leaving my food in her refrigerator. She was so nice about providing that and I just forgot to bring it home. Mary provides everything you could possibly need for a relaxing weekend - a comfy room, serene surroundings, nearby access to all kinds of activities (you name it, its in the immediate area) The breakfast - in the cathedral-ceilinged dining room with large floor to ceiling windows - is just delicious. The guests were also great, which doesn't have a whole lot to do with the inn, but it speaks to the type of guest this place attracts. In the evening the fire outside in the yard will be lit, a table with fixings for s'mores will be laid out, and guests will congregate, have lively conversations, and it feels absolutely magical - like summer camp for adults. I have traveled to many hotels and inns over the years and this one is number one in my mind! Go - you will be sure to return as I plan on doing very soon.

One of the most relaxing places I've ever been. Mary and her staff make everything so nice..The gourmet style breakfast is filling and enjoyable. All you have to do is ask for more. The old monastery turned B & B is very comforting and I'm not religious in any way

Staff was very nice and gave us a tour upon check-in. Breakfast was provided every morning and it was delicious! I wish we would've been able to explore the area more and we'll be back when it's warmer.

My fiancé and I just returned from our second trip to Carmel Cove. We love the inn and find the innkeepers so kind and welcoming. We had originally booked room 9, but when we arrived the innkeeper, Tamra, told us that since we were the only couple staying there that week that they upgraded to room 2 which came with a private terrace! We also were delighted to find complimentary champagne as a “welcome back” gift. I think this speaks to how much the innkeepers want their guests to feel welcomed. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious, hot breakfast, coffee and juice. Once we returned to the inn after a long day of hiking we enjoyed a cheese and wine platter with complimentary beer/wine. At night Tamra put out cookies and port. We sat by the fire and snacked on s’mores every evening. The common room had a large TV with comfy couches. There’s also a fridge to store leftovers and a freezer full of ice. I cannot say enough about how much we love this place. We are getting married this spring and aren’t going on a honeymoon until late summer. So after our wedding we plan on taking a short trip back to Carmel Cove as a mini honeymoon. We can’t wait! Highly recommend this inn.

My husband and I had the great pleasure of spending 4 nights at Carmel Cove. We had been to Deep Creek many years ago and were so looking forward to our getaway. Prior to arriving, I spoke with Mary who was extremely engaging and listened attentively in helping me plan our visit. Upon arriving we were cheerfully greeted by Tamra, she and her husband Greg are the innkeepers. Tamra cordially oriented us and we quickly settled in to Room 4 which we absolutely loved. One of the many reasons why Carmel Cove is so charming is that each room is uniquely and thoughtfully decorated; each having a unique vibe. Tamra recommended Black Bear Tavern (a short ride away) and it was a great spot for a burger and casual dining. Each day, Tamra prepared a delicious breakfast and in the afternoon we enjoyed a lovely cheese spread and wine/beer. Evening time homemade yummy cookies were set out and then there’s more…..we enjoyed a bonfire and ate smores. Am waiting a fer more days to get on the scale! Carmel Cove is a special place and offers a tranquil environment where you can delight in the beauty of nature and explore all that Deep Creek has to offer. In the room you will find very helpful suggestions prepared by the staff. Tamra, Greg and Mary are a great team and maintain the space meticulously. Carmel Cove is a true treasure.
