The Solomans Victorian Inn is a great place to visit from DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia or any other location for an overnight (or longer) to get away from Covid craziness. This is a clean, well run B&B by a couple with a flair for service and a desire to please. The location is a block away from the southern tip of the island, very picturesque with a number of good restaurants nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable; nicely appointed; and the owners are very careful about Covid restrictions by spacing guest tables more than 6 feet apart, keeping their distance from guests, always masking, and three different rooms (breakfast, game room, study) available for guest use at will. We will certainly return to this charming Inn with outstanding breakfasts, teas, coffee and tasty treats upon arrival and when leaving.

The B & B was the perfect respite from the current pandemic. We were welcome by our host and knew we were in good hands. Our room was said to be small but I found it to be quite roomy, comfortable, and clean with wonderful views of the harbor. We have stayed in many B & Bs and love soft towels. I know it is a simple pleasure but the towels were plush and soft. We had a treat waiting for us, in our room, upon arrival. The Inn served a tastely quiche with fresh salad and fruit. We especially enjoyed the coffee! The town of Solomons Island is a quaint friendly town. You can walk around town with ease. Lovely water views from both sides of the main drag. You have a good few choices of seafood resturants with water views. Military plane enthusiasts will enjoy the fly overs from the nearby Patuxent Naval Air Station.

I recently stayed here for a few nights and was blown away by the beauty of the inn and the hospitality of the innkeepers, Steve and Shawn. The location is perfect for exploring Solomons, walking to great shops and restaurants, or just enjoying the harbor view from the comfort of the well-appointed guest rooms.

Breakfast was always delicious, and every time I turned around there was another delectable baked treat waiting to welcome me back from my excursions. Relaxing on the patio with a glass of wine, great company, and a gorgeous sunset was a particular highlight.

I will be staying here again, and I cannot recommend it enough. Thanks to Shawn and Steve for a great stay!

Bf and I spent a cozy Halloween weekend at the Victorian Inn. Innkeepers Shawn and Steve were warm, attentive hosts of this charming house who made their guests feel instantly welcome with their kind smiles and easy conversation. The inn is very clean and comfortable with many little nooks inside and outside to enjoy the views, read a book, or play a board game. Steve welcomed us and showed us to our room all while touching on some highlights of the history of the inn. Shawn has a fabulous kitchen from where she crafts some tasty afternoon treats for the guests - and then of course, there’s breakfast. Everything is made fresh daily, and so delicious! Tasty winter omelette, soft and pillowy French toast topped with warm chopped apples, warm blueberry muffin-cake, (and not the giant, dry crumbly kind too often found in a grocery store) were some of dishes I thoroughly enjoyed! We left with a small gift bag of freshly-made pumpkin cookies for the road and a ‘bon voyage, thank you for staying with us. We shall return not as guest, but as friends for the next visit!

The title speaks for itself! This b&b is great and the owners are lovely! They made us feel very at home and were extremely accommodating. They had hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes in the common areas and in the room. Great views of the water from the room. Shawn even took time out of her day to give us a tour of their kitchen. Food was extremely yummy and they gave us a goodie bag of treats when we left! We will definitely be coming back.

The host and hostess, Steve and Shawn, were very warm and friendly and made us feel like family, not guests. They went out of their way to insure that our stay was a pleasant one. The breakfast was amazing and my wife liked everything so much she asked for several recipes for dishes served. The Inn is in an ideal location in Solomons, close enough to walk to nearly everything but far enough away so the bustle of the island did not interfere with our relaxation. An excellent place to stay and we will be returning in the future!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and were delighted with the accommodations. The bed and breakfast was clean, beautifully furnished and had lots of extra amenities. When the owners found out it was our anniversary, they brought complimentary champagne to our room. Our room was cozy and had beautiful views of the water. We also felt comfortable with the Covid protocols - mask wearing, social distancing, room cleaning, etc. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a get away!

My wife and I were in town for our niece's wedding. We decided to make this a special stay and chose Solomons Victorian Inn after reading many 5 star reviews. Steve and Shawn have owned this B&B since February 2020. (They are very Covid 19 safe). We arrived the evening of July 30th. After a long 10 hour drive we were ready to relax. As we pulled up to the Inn we admired the beautiful Victorian architecture. We were greeted warmly by Steve and Shawn who had a homemade dessert already prepared. The inn was beautifully appointed with lovely antique furniture and tasteful decor. We arrived on a very hot and humid day. I was concerned about staying on the second floor because we like like our room very cool for sleeping. There was a window unit but Steve gave us a fan just in case it was too warm. That night and every night we slept perfectly! The bed was wonderful and the room was cool. Our room had a view of the harbor which was why we chose it. Breakfast every morning was delectable and presented as a work of art. Yes, my wife took pictures every morning. Steve and Shawn made sure they paid attention to every detail. They noted that I was a milk drinker instead of a coffee drinker, They bought me my own half gallon of milk! Every evening after our activities we were surprised by a freshly baked treat (and milk of course). We loved everything about our stay. It was like coming home.

My wife and I went to Solomon’s Island for our first anniversary and we stayed at the Victorian Inn for a week. The pictures did not do it justice. The building itself is so unique and each room has a different layout, all charming. We stayed in the Narada and loved it. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Steve and Shawn were excellent hosts. For a couple of days we were the only ones staying in the inn and Steve and Shawn were overly accommodating when it came to the timing around breakfast. Also, the food was amazing. They would provide three course breakfasts and the even gave us delicious afternoon dessert snacks. They recommended beaches, restaurants, and other activities in the area and my wife and I had a blast. We stayed at the Inn during the summer of 2020 and there was plenty of things to do in the area (we really liked Purse Park which is about an hour away. You can find 15 or so sharks teeth within 30 minutes during low tide). If you want to stay at a place where the service and food are amazing, the rooms are beautiful, lots of fun activities in the area, a relaxing environment, and the hosts who treat you like family, then I highly recommend staying at The Victorian Inn!

BWI (Baltimore/Washington International) or Reagan Airports are nearest, and Dulles is just a bit further away but probably has the best deals.

I'm sorry that I don't know where RunningHare Vineyard is. But I would definitely call the owners f the property. I would imagine you could rent out the house part for the bridal party and then the bride and groom could have the separate quarters that my husband and I had which is on the ground floor and separate from the large house. I think that would be ideal. Obviously I don't know how many people you have so I would most definitely call the Inn. Also, the island is not that large so I can't imagine anything being too far away. Make sure everyone goes to the Marine Institute just about 1/4 mile away and take the boat trip. Reminder that Annapolis is also only 45 minutes away. Have a great wedding and congratulations.

We always have meat as a side rather than incorporated into the egg dish that we make for breakfast. That way it is easily omitted. We rarely, if ever, include shellfish for breakfast. As long as we know your preferences we can accommodate them.
